      Especially given they are at the same price. It doesn't make much sense. Now if they had come in 50-75$ cheaper it might tempt people. Also I think they did themselves a disservice by making them so similar. Why would us kraton owners wanna buy a copy that might not be as good. Now if it was a completely different looking truck it would intrigue me more.

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I get that and that is why i mention having to have one in front of you. It is about $50 cheaper then the Arrma's through me and has better arms, better bearings, better wing mount by design, larger diff pinion, better rear and front bracing by design, better servo by spec and the fact the Arrma ones have a bad rap. There are benefits that make it more then the $50 though. Don't view that difference like grabbing a Bangood or Hobbyking RC and comparing it to the Arrma for the little difference. I am not telling you your opinion and feelings are wrong... Just pointing out that it is more then the money that leans in favor of Kronos out the box.

    • @cwatson42785
      @cwatson42785 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NPCRC Yeah I hear the diffs are not stamped and are cnc which that is a huge plus. I just wish they didn't copy the looks so much with the dementor and kronos. If they had a totally different look they wouldn't get compared as much. Plus alot of people own a kraton or outcast so isn't a ton of incentive to buy a rc that's so similar even if it has alot of upgrades over the arrma. I'm definitely still interested in them and looking forward to seeing long term reviews on them

    • @NPCRC

      @@cwatson42785 yeah the reviews are what is going to sell this truck to the people who are hung up on the similarities. But for about $50 less and some better stock features.. • @cwatson42785
      @cwatson42785 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NPCRC Yeah I agree. Only thing I really didn't like with them being so similar is since I already own a kraton I don't see the need to run out and buy one. That's where I think they missed the mark. They are trying to take over arrma In the us market but they aren't gonna do it making trucks so similar. Especially with how many people own a kraton, typhon or outcast already. I would of bought one on day one if they came out with a proper 8th scale monster truck with no wing. Something that's lacking in the market and that traxxas and arrma don't have. That's what I'm hoping for. Anything new coming from redcat coming up?

    I just watched TH-cam video review of the dementor and his had an all aluminum wing mount does this have that as well? Also I seen you have the 1450kv in your Kraton. I have that same CEN motor in mine I'm just curious what size pinion you run in yours?

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      20T currently with the stock esc. I tried 21t but seemed like too much draw for it. Might need a Hex6 or Max6 to make it go higher more consistently. As far as the Dementor, I too saw the wing mount and have already ordered all the parts to attempt to put it on the Kronos if possible. I will have an updated video if it is possible next week. Cost will already be a little high though... every part had to be bought individually, and need 4 bearings, 2 different screw sizes and some m3 nuts. Some people have the hardware to save a couple bucks on it but the parts MAP pricing $85 so selling it as a kit, I might have it down to $70-73... Let's see if it works first though, and then fir the inventory on parts to arrive. They have a skeleton inventory with the release... more said to be coming

    • @alexbekkala1718
      @alexbekkala1718 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NPCRC right on yea I love that motor on 6s I'm running a 23t on mine with stock esc fine, but am running the smaller dboots lp. That's is a little spendy to upgrade the wing mount, but if it truly makes it bullet proof maybe it's not! To be honest when I first seen these trucks coming out I wasnt to impressed. Now with the closer look at all the details they are looking more like there own design. Definitely can't wait for some run videos! Have good day!

      @@alexbekkala1718 yeah the mount is high but if it works and makes everything a tank like the Dementor then I am fine with it.. hell I paid $50 for an SMT10 that I made into a brushless solid axle MT... so it's not unheard of.

      I think the motor and esc might be a upgrade over the arrma power systems and also the servo too but yeah I like the shocks. Tires look super cheap with no printing on them and shiny look to them. I think they missed the mark by copying arrma so much. Had this been a totally new style truck I think people would buy them up. I know they were trying to enter the USA market and "overtake" arrma but it makes zero sense coming out with copies when so many of us already own a kraton, typhon or outcast. Hi, I was lucky to get the chance to take a look at his truck over XMas in a hobby shop in Berlin Germany, the fist thing i thought was Arrrma lol, I think it's down to it's colour scheme, I have watch a few videos on this truck running, as it may have a little more punch from is electrical system than the BXL system, but it suffers the same type breakage as the Kraton even with those suspension arms, no one has really tested it yet like rich duper bash or RCDUD81 to see what it can really do?, the real test will be in it's chassis ? will it handle big air and bad landings? the Kranton needed M2C chassis upgrades to make it a true beast that it is now once you have upgraded it, the Kronos is to much like a Kraton and I'm not one to have to many of the same type of vehicle, if you enter this market your product has to beat hands down Arrma /Traxxas, a product out the box that would not need almost no upgrade and tough, Corally should had come out with something completely different than what Arrma has to offer, at this point there are no upgrades for the Corally range and it will depend on how many units are sold? for any company to start making upgrade parts, as to know what parts will be needed? , Update KilleroffroadHobbyz doing a light bash and no way like rich duper bash or RCDuD81, Corally's Dementor XP ends up with bent chassis and other parts.

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I've heard what the owner wants to do and I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and sometime to see what they put forth. I do think the chassis is going to be more durable than the arrma stop but not as durable as the m2c stuff. Rich breaks a lot of parts, almost every time he goes out. The trucks brake and that is understandable especially when you're putting them through huge air. She landed wrong that's when the problems come in. Rich and them get a lot of really good Landings out of those long jumps that help keep the vehicle in one piece. I do agree though that they're going to have to step it up and get some nice upgrades, but I did hear that they're working on their own so again, I will give them the benefit of the doubt to step up and see what they produce for the vehicle. It's brand new so they just need a little bit of time. No one was making parts for arrma the way they are now back when they came out.

      @MrRedcain 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NPCRC it this point there are no better than Arrma but with out any benfits, like tons of upgrades you can get form the Arrma brand, Corally needs to break the US market so they need to come with bang, my local hobby are buying in there 1/10 cars but will not buy the 6s rang as there happy to stock Traxxsa /Arrma it will be interesting to see what happens, if your not into on road racing here in the UK, London, then you would not have heard of Corally, Have a great day and thanks for the reply, like your channel.

I did see this video on TH-cam today: th-cam.com/video/a0ezk8NBxB4/w-d-xo.html (3:40) and It was a little concerning. Seems like alot of damage for a single tumble. That being said, we have all had bad landings.

      i actually asked him about this... this was his reply: "Yes, it is winter here, a little bit over 0°c. I don't blame it about the breakage, i need more time to make my opinion. But what is sure is, out of the box it is more powerfull than the Kraton, it flip really more fast, and not only because of the tires. I planned to use it yesterday, but i have spent 1 hour in a cold wind with an other car, at the end it was to hard to stay outside so i came back home, too bad i wanted to run it again on a different bash spot."
      In my opinion, it HAD to be freezing for those kind of breaks as they were rough but not for the added thickness of both those arms and wing mount.
      To be fair to the Corally, I have my Kraton on here in summer, with similar landings, loosing stock arms and 1 RPM on hits similar. Didn't film my wing mount break but it too was a direct hit on the side of the wing, also in winter. His hit was worse then mine though.. i wrote it off as the cold and didn't mention it or make a point of it because I knew it was cold!
