    Awesome video Andy! I'm redoing my splitter setup on my S2000 and this was awesome to get some brain juices flowing!

    I like the aluminum L method for mounting the air dam. This is nice, easy, clean, and cheap!

      He taught me to make my undertray like this last year, minus it being out of Alumilite and less sturdy, I was surprised how simple it came together. Not easy for me, but simple haha.

    Great stuff! Would be cool to see you guys show this off on track. Quick before/after to show what it does for the aero balance and or top speed.

    Nice! Functional, cheap, and character building mods are the best mods. Check out the Acura ARX-06 and the slot they have behind the rear wheel, use that as inspiration for your next, functional cheap and character building mod. It's more effective than you think!

    That's funny. That's exactly how I got the contour in the carbon sheet I used for my switch panel!

    what thickness were the carbon fiber sheets you used for the tire spats? you mentioned 1mm but they look a little thicker. also, do they hold its shape after cooling? and during testing, did you find them to push back and into the tire well from drag at high speeds due to mounting points? also, my widebody evo has its inner fender lips cut, any suggestions on how to attach this piece to the fender well?

    Do you guys have a link to Amazon for the carbon fiber sheet used for the tire spats?

    Wouldn't riveting the wheel spats to the bumper and splitter defeat the purpose of the quick disconnect on the splitter?

    • @ASMotorsports
      @ASMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They will stay with bumper. We do rivnuts from the spats to the splitter.

    Don’t air spats create insane amount of drag on a low hp car like an s2000?

    • @corym3985
      @corym3985 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should reduce drag on straights by keeping the air off of the rotating tires

    I'm surprised it's only attached by those two brackets.

    • @ASMotorsports
      @ASMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally we’d attach at radiator mount and then run rods at the main number beam straight down right behind the bumper.

    • @echowhiskey17
      @echowhiskey17 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ASMotorsports Yeah, I'm about to add two more pairs of rods in addition to the pair I have holding the sides up (they actually work pretty well) and hope I never need to take my splitter off.
