    With a 1/2'' thick splitter, you could rout out the area around the cut out and then have a flush mount for the tunnels. You might need to increase the size of the tunnel perimeter flange, but that's no biggie.

    Is there a link to where to get that black closed cell foam?

    Hey following you since a while. Started infusion by myself and i'm very excited about this topic. Can you tell me which vacuumpumps youre using? Saw in your oven built video that youre running 2 in parallel. Is this still your current setup?

    Have you tried vortex generators on the trailing edge of the roofline? Saw a company that makes them and says they work but I don't see any numbers to back it up.

      I think he did that in one of the wind tunnel videos.

      @michaelblacktree ok I will have to go check them out

      One of his more recent wind tunnel vids was on them, not needed on anything except really steep rear screens, depending on whether using a wing or not. Worth another watch if AJ can post a link.

      Yeah we tried some on an E36, the Subaru, and several versions on the yellow mustang and not once did we get a positive result. They are all in the videos on my wind funnel playlist.

      Per OP response, this is also backed up here. I believe the theory is to assist with activating the rear wing, however effecacy is minimal to nill from what I have seen.

    You guys can make bottom car kits working out of a 3D scan cad model? This means without having the car at your place.

    I want to do this on a street car that may see track once or twice a year... lips are whack, splitters are life

  • @jpluim97

    Like the video. Question for you, the front on my car is kind of short, can the splitter tunnels be cut down a bit if there two long on my car? I under stand that they would lose some performance being shorter.

    • @ajhartmanaero
      @ajhartmanaero  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. 80% of a tunnel is better than no tunnel.

    Cool video, as usual. Forgive me if you've already covered this, but have any vehicles with splitter tunnels added had the front downforce improvements measured?

    • @ajhartmanaero
      @ajhartmanaero  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. We have cfd on our tunnels along with having run cars in the wind tunnel with them.
