we just hiked up this mountain here in Nong Khiaw in Laos and thought, we’ll make a short live performance for you. Here’s our Chapman Stick version of “Hallelujah” and “Floating Away”. We hope you enjoy it.

That is so sweet:) so far the plan for next year is that will be starting in Thailand, and then India till April we think;) once we get back to Europe, and April will make our way over to Ireland and Scotland with our camper van. I haven’t been to Ireland in about seven years. It’s going to be great to reconnect again with the music will definitely keep you updated.

The albums are beautiful, ethereal, a perfect sound for when you need something that affects you deeply. So many extra gems - I fell in love with the rendition of Shoals of Herring - something I never expected.

Funny because this was the video of which I first discovered you and your instrument, and I thought you were playing a traditional Laotian musical instrument. I didn't even bother to know more about the Chapman stick and I even shared the link of this video to several of my friends with a description saying that you were foreigners playing a traditional instrument from Laos. 😂 🇱🇦

Fantastic again as usual. You get to some beautiful places too. Do you use any additional pedals to get such a beaut sound? Would your 12 string grands have better sound than a 10? Uh and another question...what battery/inverter do you use for power? Well you did say ask some questions LOL. Kind regards...Graham in Tasmania
Hey Graham,
To answer your questions: we don't use any pedals or midies for the Chapman stick, just a little bit of reverb for more depth.
But we play it pure, that's just the sound of the Chapman Stick. The 10 string Chapman Stick sounds the same without effects, it just misses the highest bass string and the lowest melody string. We like having those extra two strings, once you're used to having them, it's hard to go without.
To power our amp, we use external lithium laptop batteries with built in inverter.
