This is my favourite road trip of all time. CT >> PLK. I’ll never get tired of it. Some people love Cars & Others love driving cars. I just happen to be the on the driving side.
I do it 3-5 times a year, averaging 1 day a trip.

Capetown to Jhb very addictive with these N Sports, I have done it twice already, 11-12 hours, no fatigue at all. My Tucson N has a bigger fuel tank and it’s diesel, so it saves a bit.

Chief you were probably passing a water treatment plant, not all of joburg smells like that, LOL.
I think with the I30N being a performance car, it helps with long distance (overtakes) as the peak torque is higher in the revs. Then again, knowing BM he'll use the N Grin shift even though the car can make the pass...
19 hours is a solid shift!
On most of the overtakes, I definitely used NGS because I drove in ECO mode, which takes time to accelerate. It wasn't a treatment plant, but the air smelled contaminated with unpleasant chemicals. However, it wasn't as bad as the odor you get near actual treatment plants.
Tjoooo what a trip.....Beast is not that thirsty for open road. How did u slash that lost time in that accident scene remains a secret between u and ur car mf2😅😅

You can reduce the fuel cost by R750, Remember I took a detour and a lot of spirited driving was involved here so if you take it slow and use the normal route you can get more kilometres on each full tank
Amazing work bro, this is very beautifully done. I felt it when you were hitting the R100 money on the steering, its a lot of tall gates in our roads but its worth for the quality of the roads we have on our national roads.
