  • In this video I replace the downstream o2 sensor on my 2005 second generation Forester XT. My check engine light came on along with my cruise control blinking with the error code P2097

    Thank you for this. It's straight forward, something I can do myself.

    I laughed so hard when you said “twerk it down”. That would be amazing to watch yet so painful. I think you meant “torque” it down. Love you!!!

    Hi ..... I watch your videos related to Subaru and love the way you explain issues and suggest solutions. Its matter of time that i am struggling with an issue with my Subau Forester, 2005, 2.0X, Non-turbo. I recently cleaned my throttle body, PCV valve, TPM sensor, MAP sensor, EGR valve and IAC valve. After refitting them in car, my Suby behaving awkward way. Idle RPM are gone high and there is a fluctuation. Same time i am getting some oil burning / overheating smell with some smoke coming up from somewhere down near catalytic converter/ drive shaft boot. Please give some clue on these two issues. Thanks a ton bro for help.....:-))

    This is a very nice presention,. one question, I have the engine lamp, the cruise controll lamp and the antiskid lamp, I think the OBD2 code was P0140, ? the OBD2 reader wrote secundary o2 valve something? Is that what this is about?

    Did replacing your fownstream o2 sensor fix your problem. I am having the same issue with my car.

      Yes, once I reset the battery to get rid of the code it has never come back on.

    Is this the same way to replace the O2 sensor on an Outback or would it be different?

    • @JRobling
      @JRobling  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can tell you for sure but in pretty sure they are the same or very close. Subaru love catalytic converters and o2 sensors

    Could this also fix a P420 code?

    I've replaced both sensors and error code is still there. Hi fuel consumption. I've checked, when i start the engine, heater works and the signal goes toward 1V on both. So the sensors work and their heaters. Where possibly look for?
