Don’t you just love when you get snagged into a tree, you get lucky and then!!! You hit the other branch! Classic!!! :) Great to see that you caught a few nice ones!
I was there last weekend, i had a really tough day. The water was stained and high and looks like it still it. Well done picking the good stuff apart! Healthy fish. That a lake fork worm?
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING Definitely rewarding! Patience and trust in your method is one of the harder aspects to learn when it comes to fishing imo and it's not a quality everyone has. If you can condition yourself to slow down and really fish every cast like you're expecting a bite even if you're half a day in with no sign of life it really makes a fisherman and thats what i took from fishing that pond. I've had a bag of those worms for 6+years and never even opened them, i knew I'd seen them somewhere!
@@user-by6yc8yl7v haha yup, I wasted a few hours at the deck with nothing. I believe I got this pack from one of those subscription boxes. I should be using up those baits first before buying anymore plastics
Try a reaction type bait first like a spinnerbait to locate some aggressive fish. If nothing, slow it down and try some finesse fishing with senkos or drop shots around cover. Good luck!
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING This, the kid just needs to be taught the rules. He enjoys fishing which is great, now once he learns the rules he will be a valuable member of our group. No reason to mock him, he just didn't know (i hope).

It feels awkward fishing with a 7ft rod again. I miss my float rods haha
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING I hear you!
I haven’t been on the water for to long!
I miss the river!
After hours of not catching anything at high park (like today), I like to come and watch this video. You gonna get a lot of views from me man...
Don’t worry man, I get skunked too fishing there
Weedless dropshot is lethal for largemouth near shore, was slaying bass like that in texas back in may. Thats hardcore finesse 💪💪💪
Nice, I need to work on my finesse fishing 👍
I caught a three pounder around where you were by accident while fishing for bluegill
That’s dope 👍
Hey man great catches, I see 2 guys that fish that spot and they catch a small mouth everytime, well I hope I see you down there sometime.
Nice! I’ve never seen smallmouth caught out of there. I’ll be back, the other day I caught a big pike over there. I’ll upload that for the next vid
You are a bass master after this video. You got into a few heavy weights.
I missed out on bass season last year, I hope to make up for it this year 👍
Walking around the pond without stepping on goose poops might be harder than hooking a fish.
Haha I saw some massive ones as big as my dog poops 💩… probably came out of a swan
Nice catch!!
Thanks 👊👍
Nice catch pump..
Thanks Joven 👍
gotta love when people talk about smashing bass weeks before opener
Haha, I just saw a guy sight fish for one today at the park…smh

Fishing is very tough over there but very rewarding when you do catch. Yup, lake fork worm

@@Fishingwithandrew28 yup
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING ok great I have another question for you the 3 ponds in high park are you allow to fish them ?

@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING thanks! No luck today, gonna try the marshy/pond-like parts of the Humber near the mouth. Gotta get some drop shot tackle!
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING got some drop shot stuff, heading out tomorrow! Fingers crossed it all works out.

Hey pump I’ve been trying to fish many different locations for bass around Toronto and haven’t had any luck do you have any spots you could recommend
Bass fishing in the city is pressured fishing anywhere you go. I’m lucky if I catch one an outing
On the illegal side 😆
👍
Where’s the no fishing area?
North side of the pond
best time to go fish at high park?
Morning or evening
What rig you are using? Is that a Texas? May I ask how large is the hook?
I was using a drop shot rig, I’m not sure on the hook size

Great Video Dude! High park in my opinion is the most overfished placed in toronto
I thought I was gonna get skunked today
I love how the kid openly admits to poaching fish on the spawn well before opener, you're kidding right? 😭
You’re only 16 once but I hope he understands there are rules too fishing
