From what I heard it was from lack of oxygen in the water. They had a confined burn at the park then I believed it rained afterwards. The runoff ash made its way to the pond causing it to absorb the oxygen in the water?
Yea that sucks. You can tell the lack of bluegills this time of the year. There would be 1000s of them all along the shoreline but they’re barely around
Yo I swear were you the guy from yesterday who lost the bass and I lost the same fish so you went crappy fishing you sound the same also that algae grew quick the entire bank got covered in less than 2 months that’s crazy
I really hope that lady wasn't taking them home... High park fishing has died because people take fish home to eat ( which is probably not even good for you ) used to be such a nice place to go that wasn't far and it just keeps getting worse and worse
Great to see crappie thriving! I miss this pond so much.
@@wheretofish I don’t remember them being this decent in size. All I’ve caught in the past were very small
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHINGI prefer that the pond is full of crappie over blue gills. I can’t wait to take my kids here one day.
Killing it

When useinf this type or rig do you cast and reel or let is sit in on place and move your rod up and down
@@ItsSmokez yes try and cover the area, fan cast and repeat
What other fish are at grenadier right now? Im planning on going in a few days
Pretty slow these days. The odd panfish and jumping carp around
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING are there still any bass or pike right now?
@@MichalCiceron bass are currently out of season. Not many pike in the pond. You’re better off trying the lake side for pike
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING im still kinda new to fishing so ig its mostly js crappie right now? And some panfish occasionally?
I'm coming to Toronto where is a good place to buy fishing gear. FOR BASS
Bass pro
any idea what killed all the bluegills?

These past few years have been good for crappie but I got no clue why the bluegills died from late March to Early May
Yea that sucks. You can tell the lack of bluegills this time of the year. There would be 1000s of them all along the shoreline but they’re barely around
Cat fish ,some people love it ,but I get sick from my stomach every time I get one ,they are just too slimy
Catfish are funky looking and I always laugh when I catch one

@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING nah but in going back soon to see if I can catch some fish but is it really you were you the guy from grenadier pond on Wednesday

Would be nice if they made all the ponds in the city catch and release
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING agreed!
99% sure the darker ones are black crappie and the lighter ones are white crappie
I believe theones I’m catching are all black crappie and the darker ones caught were the males in spawning colours
Very nice fish pump good catch...
@@greatfishinglife-jovenmana9291 thanks 👊👍. Patiently waiting for bass season, then salmon and then steelhead 😍
