Yes, the stock Traxxas tires are OK - but really.. in the offroad craziness of my backyard track, in the deep snow and ice.. I need something wide and sturdy to help float me along.. and at break-neck speed! I'm stepping outside the norm..and trying something rather unique.. I haven't seen too many Slashes with masher tires before.. and I think this combo is going to work great for me. I have confidence this will work.

I've had a proline baja bug body on my slash. I watched this video and realized I had some stock stampede talons. Now my slash looks like a proper baja bug with bigs and littles and it performs great. Thanks for the inspiration.

Those are the best looking tires I think I've seen so far for a monster slash conversion because they actualy look like "monster truck" tires. 👍👍

Nice! I run Masher's on my slash as well! These things grip like mad! It makes for a monster of a hill shooter!
I love the ProLine Mashers! I have had several sets of these on all of my monster trucks, and they are awesome. They bite good on all kinds of surfaces, and will dig trenches in soft dirt, and sand.
That's looks great. The body even tucks in nicely with the front bumper. And talking about trying and testing different things. Right now I'm racing a traxxas rustler with the proline on road tires on front and 1/10th touring car tires that just fit around the rear hub. And when you can keep up with a 21.5 touring car around a tight track it's quite a fun car to drive
One of the most beautiful wheels and body combination i have see. I like the trimmed fenders, and the back fender reminds me 60's and 70's race cars. Also the front fenders, match very perfect with the rear fenders. It has a nice line from the front to the rear.
Looks killer! I put the 2.8 Sand Paws on mine and started waiting for snow here. That was 5 years ago and still no snow! lol Keep em coming brother!

Jeez... I was into the rc hobby about 3 years ago and was subscribed when you had less than 100,000 subs. Got out of the hobby because I couldn't afford it anymore and look back now and you've got almost 1,000,000!!! That's crazy man.

looks good better than my 3 year old slash the body is held together from cracks by duct tape haven't replaced many broken parts at all soon be time for a makeover lol still just as fun wish i had the tsm though rips when the snow isn't too deep. Very solid rig don't require much for maintenance at all.

man i love what you do with your trucks, just wish i could afford one of those traxxas slash, or any good rtr, but that slash must be a beat now with that setup
To save a little money you can use the 2.2 Mashers with the RPM wide crawler wheels (make sure they're the wide wheels otherwise they won't work). They'll be slightly smaller but you'll still have the benefit of the Mashers tread pattern. I put these on my Slash 4x4 with a E-Maxx body and they worked perfectly.

That slash is lookin pretty mean Medic those tires should do great staying above and packing the snow which the narrow BFG's sink and dig. It should throw a good rooster tail too!
Mr. Medic, dude that truck looks rad! I have MASHERS on my 1/9th Summit(haha) and my friends are always trying to buy or trade other parts for them. Can't wait for the running vid of this great looking truck!

Medic I highly recommend you a Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL. Great small monster truck, well built, and I could see you driving it. :) I've had my stampede for a year now and I do not regret anything I've done to it, and have had the most fun with it in the snow. Built some snow chains for my Stampede 4x4, run mashers with chains, and it's a lot of fun. :)

I watched this video as i was looking for a set of tires for the snowstorm that's hitting me soon, just a recommendation, put some ductape or something over the ventilation holes on the inside of the rims, I had a set of trenchers last year and the foam got drenched and nearly destroyed the motor from weighing so much, the tires went from weighing the same as stock to almost the weight of the truck stock each
You might want to put an Outerwears cover over the chassis to keep the snow out. Makes easier clean up.
The tires may work better backwards in the snow. The tires driving forwards makes the tread dig down and clear out and reverse makes them pull the snow in and float on top more.
Run them both ways to see if you get a difference.
I use Pro-Line Tires with 2 zip ties going through rim hole with the Ends on the edge(48 total on 4 tires) Leave aprox 2 cm sticking out(trimmed) They bite like crazy on ice, snow and especially packed snow! Clearance is the killer. The tires also do not expand at all. I have been running them for six weeks every day and it WORKS!!! Up hills with ice and snow at very high speeds using 3S. Snow tails 5 feet plus! The foam will probably get deformed but I don't care because I can have fun all winter! Have four new ones already standing by! Have fun in the snow!
GLOCKATTACK45 you should make a video and show us. Sounds like a good idea just really confusing.
That's the same tire I run in the desert on my slash 2x4. I've also stiffened up the suspension as well. Stock body users will need to do some trimming on a 2x4 and some gearing adjustment, but it's definitely worth it.
I had them tires on my rc10gt and loved them. Been thinking about getting them for my scx10.
Assume video, I really like the trim-job on the body, (I'm a slash kind of guy) and those tires make it look like a whole different truck. good job my friend...

I've done the same with the 6packs . And with the stampede. Wheelset. Great funn . Oh and rite now it has stock arrma kraton wheels on it now there painted and they look and function just great . Hobby on dudes

We did the exact same thing with the same tires but the 2wd version slash. We had to cut a little bit of the chassis due to tire rub. When the tire balloons, the tire might rub. Especially off of jumps and hard corners.

Toe out at the front helps it turn, toe in at the rear helps with grip and stability when accelerating.

Those tires look great on the Slash. I look forward to seeing the run video! I put Trenchers on my Stampede VXL 4x4 and have had lots of overheating issues (even after gearing down as far as I could). Of course I doubt overheating will be an issue in a Canadian winter...

I got mags 3.3 s on my slash 4+4 with road rage tires its a beast doesn't look so little traxxas stock tires get stuck on grass OK for 2 s lipo but my 6 s wit 3.3 inch tires is a beast
omg i love rc cars
Recently put some 2.8s on my 4x4 vxl slash and I love it but the battery life became atrocious. Mind you it was a hot day but I am going to try gearing down more. Even did an upgrade to the revo slipper clutch with aluminum pads and I pull wheelies way to easy with a 13 tooth pinion 54 main gear. Super fun I love the feel but it's pretty poor battery life running it hard at all.

RCSparks, i got pl trenchers for my 1/10,, expensive but the rims and tyres are sick,, and change the handling good,, proper dirt tyres!! want badlands, got Arrma fury coming for my daughter so cant wait to open it up 😀
