Use Simple Green spray to clean your car. Just spray. Let sit for few minutes. Then rinse.

Cody G there is! Because 4x4 simply does not need that upgrade! And with bigger wheels on a 4x4, the center of gravity will become higher, and the truck will traction roll easily! Yw
I did the big wheel conversion to my 4x4 slash and it is a beast. Best upgrade I could have done. It’s a great brasher and I highly recommend doing it.
Cody G no people do the conversions to 4x4 and my friend has one they don’t fraction roll badly and they are absolute beasts
S&S Productions I tried doing that but I got bad wheel rub on the frame... I think I need wheel spacers
I did this 8 years ago with my vxl 2wd slash on 2s but used trenchers, the body rubbed a bit but I could do somersault to backflip in one jump thanks to the added rotational mass from the large heavy tyres
Trim the body with an xacto knife!
I'm thinking about doing this with the OC day brushless motor they're on that during the summer cuz I have to stay stock for when I race in the winter

I made my 4x4 slash a monster with some 2.8s and trimmed the body was the best way to run the slash in my opinion

@@knifestuff2644 nope bone stock slash brushless 4x4 ran great. I did break axles alot from the torque but I was running plastic axles so that they would be the weak link
Any Problems with overheating?
the construction yard. they have like white power sand and dirt and it covers your car in it and makes a hell lotta dust and smokes. sooo damn lit

I'd recommend going with pro-line body mounts instead of the traxxas ones. The pro-line ones have much more adjustability.
With those wheel set ups when making a sharp turn does it rub?

I've got a tqi with Bluetooth module that just shut off when I was using it and now won't turn on. The Bluetooth light works on the back of the transmitter when I press that button and the traxxas link app will even say it's connected but the green power light on the transmitter won't come on. The batteries in it when it happened were still decent and I've tried new batteries and still nothing. I've tried the standard reset using menu and set buttons but nothing there either. I've been told there's another way to reset it but I don't know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wow the gear set up and placement on the rc is very similar to the Kyosho Outrage and the motor placement too quite amazing how newer rc cars still have designs from older rc cars
Franklin Ayres the slash is over a decade old so it's not exactly new itself.
Andrew Sundbeck I know that but the kyosho outrage I have is around 20 ish years old give or take a few years so 10 years between the 2 being made

I did this a long time ago. If you are going to run 3S you will need to upgrade the axels. The plastic ones wont last 1 battery.

Adventures With Mike I made the same mistake and went through 3 sets with a onyx motor,3s and 4s flureon batteries.

@@MArleyzZz MIP AXLE Sthey have change the part numbers just Google mip cvd for slash 4x4... They are the best in my opinion... Cost a lot but they are forever if you put them together with lock tight

How is your antenna so small like 2 inches long? Traxxas says under no circumstance should the wire be pulled down & tucked away, did you do that or something else? if so hows your reception.. Thnx

The one thing they forgot to mention is 32 pitch spur and pinion Youre gonna want that as well bigger tires need bigger teethed gears
Do you have to have to change pinion gears if you just change to bigger tires
Charles Haynes Due to the larger tires, it’s harder for the motor to turn them. A smaller pinion will give more torque, and keep the running temp down. If you were running on flat hard surfaces, you would probably be alright.

Yes you can
Absolutely. Make sure to use the electric front offset all around to clear the suspension and then to raise the body, Proline sells adjustable body mount kits for the Slash 4x4 to easily adjust the height. After those 2 swaps, just keep an eye on your motor temp and adjust the gearing as needed.

You don't have to swap out the motor system. You can put the big tires on with the stock motor. Just be sure to watch your temps.

Why did you tighten your pinion gear set screw so tight? That’s how you strip it trying to get it back out

Hi, i ordered a set of 4 traxxas revo wheels for my slash cause i want to do a monster build, will they fit the slash?
They can. You’ll need to seriously modify the body or use a different body and get the 17mm wheel hub adapters.
Personally I recommend some sort of hub extensions anyway as they make the stance meaner and improve steering clearance.
hey does anybody have any good ways to keep rc batteries over periods of time without them losing efficiency?

Some please tell me about the axels I went to my local Hobbytown store and he said that I need a different axel what do I do. I’m trying to build the monster slash
You don't necessarily need different axles. The ones that come on the truck will work perfectly fine for a monster slash conversion. The only reason why someone would say to get new axles is because the bigger and heavier tires can make the stock axles more prone to breakage, especially with brushless power. But otherwise, if the stock axles haven't given you any trouble you can run with them no problem.

What if you using protrak system and lcg chassis???
You can still do that. Just get the wheels, tires, and body mounts and you can have a nice and stable LCG monster truck.

On me Revo 2.0, the screws are being pulled through the body and the body is loose. Can you make a video or give me some tips on how to fix that?

Does anyone have steering problems with the bigger and wider tires? My problem is that if i steer right the left tire will rub on the arm and not letting the wheel turn freely.
Any ideas how to fix that?
@@bombpoprc2023 To start, make sure that you have the correct offset wheels for the front of the truck. You'll want to stick with the 2WD Rustler/Stampede electric front offset at all 4 corners. If you still have rubbing issues, check the alignment of your bell cranks as well as the position of your servo horn/saver with the steering trim in the neutral position. Lastly if all else fails, you can turn down the steering dual rate from the transmitter (if you have that adjustability) and this will reduce the total steering travel to prevent the rubbing.
Hard enough to keep axles in it with stock tires.

mshane86 I’m sure many have gone that same route and felt the same way, but I look at it as a growth process. I tried starting in the hobby with a 1/14 scale 4x4 Desert Truck, and nearly quit because of frequent problems and difficulties making repairs. Getting a basic brushed Traxxas 2WD renewed my enjoyment of the hobby, and after that I continued to progress.
id get some paddle tires and go to a ski resort to run my monster slash!

Is it just me or do the shock caps look like a different mold? I have a Stampede VXL and the shock caps don't look like that.

How would you turn a 1/16 slash into a monster slash?
You could probably install the wheels and tires from the 1/16th scale e-revo or summit and get some different springs to raise the ride height.
I personally love the slash 4x4 i dont really us eit to much anymore but i need to start using it because it was a fun little car it has takin a beating but traxxas makes some good stuff and i will last u i promise

What’s the difference between a stampede 4x4 and a slash 4x4 ?
They are pretty much identical mechanically and electronically. The main difference is that the Slash 4x4 uses a longer chassis to give it the same wheelbase as a standard 2WD Slash. And the Stampede 4x4 has a shorter chassis to give it the same wheelbase as a standard 2WD Stampede.
One other note: The Slash 4x4 XL-5 and VXL come standard with an HCG chassis but if you get the platinum or ultimate they come stock with an LCG chassis.

Yes you can, but if you don’t mind cutting into a beautiful ford raptor body top
RC Throwdown trust me I wouldn't cut the body for nothing I'm more worried about gears and whatever else I was told the Raptor wasn't a slash it was another model when I purchased it
