Be Fair ! They have taken all the old pit bings, mines, railways away ! Not that some will remember. I am so old I even remember the pits. A train journey between Edinburgh and Glasgow was fascinating to a kid in the late fifties.
Thanks, my wife and I had 49 years of similar adventures. She passed 5 years ago but watching you two brought a thousand memories to mind ! Thank you again.
In 94. Me and my family were camping on shell island, Wales the UK. We had a BBQ and then it got to my daughters bed time, so i got them into their sleeping bags and went back to my family. On shell island at night, you have a perfect night sky.. No big cities or bright lights. We sat there admiring how beautiful the stars really are. Probably an hour or so later, this "star" starts moving weird. Remember this is over the Irish Sea. Ireland had no fast jets or anything fast at this time. It must of been hundreds of miles away because it was only double the size of a star. It moved from left to right in a second, then up and then back again. Then it traveled across the sky and did a 90 degree turn... and again, and then did it faster and faster. No human could survive this... As the "star" was moving two more lights appeared from below and me beaning young thought they were docking. But may be they were missiles fired at it because one flashed an the "star" moving it slightly an before the second could hit it shot up and faster than my eyes could see, gone.
I and a friend saw the exact same same phenomenon from a beach in the West of Ireland over 20 years ago. The craft we saw did the same 90 degree turns and seemed to defy physics.
Shell Island is next to a former Royal Aircraft Establishment (now closed) which was home to the the UAVs used to tow targets for the Aberporth missile testing site further down the coast
wow! I wonder if I saw this same thing.... from Penally Beach in Tenby. I was 23 at the time so interestingly... the time frame matches perfectly. It was a Fri or Sat night and I sat on the beach for 45 mins or so watching them with some friends, prob around 12pm - 1am. It began as one light, that looked like a star zipping around the night sky, stopping instantly and zig-zagging all over the place, covering what must have been 100s of miles in a flash over towards what I think was Gower or North Devon. After a while 2 other lights joined in and they put on an aerial show too but for not as long. I then remember them all merging into one of the lights and then in an instant they all just vanished. I 've never forgotten it and am convinced they were UFOs as we possessed no aircraft capable of doing that (that we knew about then) and they were not flares, lasers or missiles. They flew around for almost an hour that I witnessed, making impossible turns at incredible speed and stopping dead, immediately. It was insane to witness!
I've been enjoying your videos so very much. The one where you met up in Poland and you told her you hated the train because it was taking her away from you, well that had to be the nicest thing I've heard anyone say to another person in a long long time. It was from the heart and it was real. Every time you look at her there is such love in your eyes. Thank you for being real, not phoney or soppy. Aleshia is a lucky lady.
If the Scottish flag ever goes non-Christian, you/we (Scottish blood) could just have a grey flag with raindrops on it, or something blue sky with midgies. (Keeping it "social media nutcase topical" 😱)
Looking forward to this. Its a tradition in our house on a Saturday morning to sit down with bacon buns & watch Steve Marsh , its like catching up with an old friend. Keep up the great content Steve , we absolutely love your travel content & visiting so many quirky countries we'd never normally get to see.
I grew up in the middle of the Falkirk triangle and it was always my contention that the reason Bonnybridge saw so many lights in the sky was (a) it was on the landing flight path for two mid sized international airports close by (b) it is right under a major transatlantic flight artery (Europe to western North America) so loads of high level air traffic passes above and (c) lots of military activity back in the day - aircraft used to pass through the area from the likes of RAF Leuchars (now gone). Just call me Sceptical Sam 😂
As a retired Air Traffic Controller,I am inclined to agree with you .On a clear night, inbounds to Glasgow and Edinburgh would be easily visible from miles away depending on which runways they are on.I suppose sitting on that hill and looking at Flightradar 24 would identify a lot of "sightings".🖖👽🍺
Yep same here I stayed in Denny for 22 years which is only a stone throw away, never seen anything at all at least nothing significant...I was there when the U.F.O phenomena started up in Bonnybridge long time ago...
The art of a good TH-cam creator is to make something special out of nothing very much. Well done Steve & Alicia. Wishing you every success in being probed........
Hi Steve just watched your visit to my home town of Bonnybridge, I must apologise on behalf of our local community for the litter you encountered on your visit. Did you know in days gone by we had three railway stations . Bonnybridge Central next to Dominoes, Bonnybridge Canal and Bonnybridge High. The only time the locals see UFOs is after a good few beers which is most Saturday nights 😂
Steve Marsh goes on trips aw roon Europe and Scandinavia by himself gets haim and says Tae his lass I'm taking you somewhere special in the next trip, aye special brew
Good to see Europe has their own Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. My father as a former member of the IB (Investigate Bonnybridge) informed me that the folks of Bonnybridge are some of the nicest people he had met and that despite the volume of litter and strange objects scattered around Bonnybridge no one could recall seeing anyone dropping any of that garbage. Also, the local council is on record as stating that despite extensive clean-up campaigns the detritus keeps on appearing. 😀😀😀This mystery requires Steve and Alicjia to investigate further.
Litter is a huge problem across the UK unfortunately. It's down to laziness of the people who always tend to think it's someone else job, councils no longer employing actual street cleaners in favour of those little trucks that miss half the litter, a lack of bins due to council cutbacks. It's also a lack of enforcement and fines as the police don't often enforce littering laws due to a lack of funding, meaning they have to prioritise other crimes instead of what they see as petty crime like littering and these days even shoplifting.
Loved the video, as always. It made me laugh all the way through, with Alicja and your chemistry and humour. It adds something extra to travel videos, informative but always having a laugh, and that's what travel and adventure should be. I recently did a nature walk and went on a rant about litter and the state of the countryside. It doesn't take much to take litter home or put it in a bin, although, some of the stuff I saw thrown in the ditches etc wouldn't fit in your kitchen bin. Great work Steve, and Alicja. Andy.
You missed a trick visiting Torwood Castle. If you had followed the right of way sign for a short way you would have found another sign pointing you to a broch. One of the few brochs this far south
Torwood castle is great. Been there twice. First time met the cat (Freddo), the owner and his dog (now passed.) We were offered a little tour of the castle and spent maybe 30 minutes inside seeing the old works, the rebuild and the private living area. While it's still a remote castle the resident has a nice warm space inside as well as the cabin at the rear.
UFOs aside, Bonnybrook is a Tip. You would never see rubbish laying about like that here in Australia - we were well and truly trained to be tidy by a very successful ad campaign that the government started sponsoring over 40 years ago. And I'm very thankful for it. About the anticipated flying saucers. Maybe they're just on the RAF flight path. Valiant effort though :D
My wife and I really enjoyed that you work well together.Keep practising Unidentified despite lots of attempts Ohio continues to be a problem for her she clearly identified with that Alicija
Aw brilliant, i was in stitches with Alicjias misfortune of trying to say unidentified lol, might not have made it for the main reason but still a fun video all the same, keep up the great work.
A highlander here from Inverness I'm a believer in UFO's big time guy's great video and eye wish people would bin there rubbish also, love the outdoors it's our calling...
Just started watching your videos a couple weeks ago I really do enjoy them makes me want to visit Scotland an other places you have have been my wife an I have never traveled out of the us watching your videos gives me confidence that we can do it I’ve got a good friend from Scotland that lives near me he’s name is also Steve I don’t leave many comments because I’m not to good at spelling any ways I’ve watched enough of your videos I feel like I know you thanks for making them the hillbilly from Tennessee
Thanks for taking us along - it was so enjoyable - even with your little green "man" along!!! Such fun exploring and good for you both for camping - I'm impressed what with the wet and cold!! Quite the story!!
Steve, I think you and Alecia should do a canal boat trip! We rode the Falkirk Wheel while we were there and stayed in the area for the Kelpies light show. Fell in love with the narrow boats while at Neptunes staircase! Go for it!
You two are just lovely! I really enjoyed seeing some of your beautiful country!!! Yea, the litter was really awful. Shocking in such beauty. Keep searching!
A couple of weeks ago I witnessed a black sphere hurling about 100 yards up ,I still think about it every day thank God I got to see something before I leave this life I'm grateful!
Great one! I was born in Edinburgh but grew up in Livingston so that was nice seeing it again! I remember taking my now wife to that spot had to be 28 years ago!
It is more than 30yrs. since I visited Bonnybridge, for a wedding and it was untidy and unpleasant then too...if the Council have no respect for their surroundings neither will the general population...the weather was awful then too!!...dgp/uk
Another thing from the Robert Taylor incident is the 'rolling balls' pulled him down to the floor by grabbing onto his trousers. Afterwards his trousers (which were made of strong material) were found to have tears on either side as if something had attached to them and pulled.
Certainly did a fair bit of walking, very impressed. Very brave camping out as well. Liked the pizza joke, Steve. Great to see Alicja(❤ the mask!). Thanks both for my Sat am vlog, always makes my day! ❤ 😊 👍
That was a great video…very fun to watch. IDK what’s up with people that drop their litter; that’s terrible. Steve Wallis would be proud of you both! Thank you for taking us along!
Yet another great kickoff to a Saturday, Steve and Alicja. The bits of fun remind me a bit of your Halloween video. I do enjoy the locations to which you bring us, but your sense of humor and personalities are the main draw. Thanks so much for having us along!
I awoke this morning to wet snow here in Canada, but watching this video gave me the giggles which put me in the right mood to face the day. Thank you.
My sister stays in bonnybridge and formerly Denny , a guy who stayed across from her in Denny used to ufo spot every night , anyhoo one night my sis and brother in law were looking out and spotted a craft hovering over a field then taking off at high speed , no noise nothing just there one minute and gone the next , they never really spoke in detail about it but put it down to a " helicopter " or something like that , nowadays people are flying drones etc to try and fool people but their incident was 1977
I really enjoyed the video Steve and Alicia. Alicia with the alien mask on cracked me up. I couldn't believe the amount of litter that was around, disgusting. Both of you we brave to be camping out at this time of the year. Great adventure as always both of you. Catch you on the next one.
Great vid! Cowhill is one of the UFO hotspots just to the south of Bonnybridge. A lot of the UFO lore alleges the convergence of LayLines nearby causing "disruptions" that are visible to "outsiders", who then come to visit. I was told the "oddness" of the area goes back as far a the Romans, some stories suggest a full legion of Roman soldiers went missing right there, while travelling between two forts on the Antonine wall - subsequent searches found no evidence of a battle to explain their disappearance. Local councillor Billy Buchanan is a believer, he's paid to have Uri Geller flown over the area to feel the vibrations. Billy is an advocate for raising the awareness of the area and gently "cashing in" a bit on UFO tourism to help the local economy. In the early 2000s Billy was 95% of the way towards "Twinning" Roswell with Bonnybridge, a Scottish contingent were booked to fly out to Nevada to take part in a twinning ceremony. However not long before the ceremony, Billy got in a stramash with his fellow councillors and locked himself up in his council office in protest. He was gently ejected from post shortly afterwards and the UFO connection died a swift death. 👍
I really enjoy your videos. It's the way I start my Saturdays. Request - Can you make video around Dunoon and Sandbank. I used to be stationed there in the 90's. Loved it there! Regardless, keep the videos coming. Have a great day 🎉
Fun video Steve and Alicja. Had some good laughs and constant smile on my face haha love you both! Alicja I’m glad to see you wearing the hat!! 😊 hope it kept you warm! Ps. Steve I can’t believe you have as many subscribers as you do now! I remember when it was about 20k and that feels like it was yesterday! Keep it up!
You have made me love Saturday! This one is particularly fun! I hate littering, it’s terrible. Interesting walk, though. It’s fun checking out abandoned buildings. The two of you are funny. I don’t think I could camp amidst all the soggy ground. It is a pretty spot.
I remember going back a bit, The weather for weeks was consistent cloud. Then one fine day the sun came out?The sun had never been seen for so long that people thought it was a UFO.
Thoroughly enjoyed your visit to the Robert Taylor alien encounter site, Steve and Alicja, including the confirmation you got from a local that Mr. Taylor wasn't the sort to make up an outlandish story. 👍 Aside from that, in addition to Bonnybridge being the UK's mecca for UFO sightings, it appears to also be the the trash tip of Scotland. And that's unfortunate.
I'm a nerd obsessed with the British Canals. The Falkirk Wheel is amazing. I just looked up the Charlotte Dundas. Steve-O, why are the Scots so inventive? What is it about Scottish culture that created such innovative history, philosophy, economics, technologies, poetry, and medicine?
This was the most unexpected adventure yet! 😁 I really enjoyed your “We can do this!” outlook despite the weather and low energy. This was such fun to watch! 😎 I had no idea about Bonnybridge’s claim-to-fame, and was glad to see they didn’t turn it into a circus attraction. Very understated and approachable. The only drawback was the litter everywhere. Thanks for sharing your experience with us! 👍🏼
You two crack me up, I love your sense of humor 😁 The tent camping thing, all that rain, it’s not how it would have sounded if I was looking for a campsite. My idea of camping is a black and white TV in a motel room 😁
The alien is a female in a blue raincoat and likes to jump up and down and has a strong accent , fascinating little creature, could be a nordic ,all the best guys.
The antonine wall (rough castle) would've been a great place to camp in bonnybridge. Plenty flat ground and loads of roman history. At one point you were a 15min walk away from it😂
Steve I think you should be proud of your channel and the content of the videos, I thoroughly enjoy each one especially the fact that you are prepared along with Alicia to put yourselves through some tough situations and experience rough conditions and challenges. Well done to the pair of you.
Good one. UFOs are close to my heart. Years ago did Photo Journalism UFO type stories for a crazy magazine. Lots of fun but never saw any. Most turn into IFOs. Cheers.
As a volunteer litter picker and UFO enthusiast, this video was almost the perfect video me, except that you sighted plenty of litter but sadly no UFOs. The Robert Taylor incident was roughly around the same time as the infamous Rendlesham Forest incident in 1980 (the book by Nick Pope with John Burroughs and Jim Penniston titled “Encounter In Rendlesham Forest” comes highly recommended if you’re into your Ufology). It is acknowledged as being the world’s best documented UFO incident.
6:20 "Taken away and get 'prodded'". Ahem, I believe the term is 'probed'. 15:43 "jump in my car, I want to take you home", Ted Mulry Gang 1975! Aussie music will live forever! Which is not always such a good thing, but this song rocks.
why do people have to litter, if they can't find a bin just hold on to it till they do or take it home and dispose of it there, its not rocket science
I actually pick up litter and put it in the bin.
Where I live is on the whole very clean ,but the odd idiot feels compelled to leave their shit behind.
Because people are complete a-holes.
Because they're lazy!
I think the Aliens did it! 👽👽👽
We had massive storms in Scotland that knocked everyone’s bin over. We are still trying to clear up the mess. Some towns and villages are doing group litter pickings.
Excellent video :) Glad you pointed out about the people who leave stuff behind. I'm proud to be Scottish. I don't understand people who treat nature wrong. :(

"You said there was a zero percent chance of rain..." In Scotland. In March. Frankly if you believed her I think that's on you, Steve, sorry....
It rains in Scotland quite a lot. 😊
Two kinds of weather in Scotland. Partly cloudy with sunny intervals or partly sunny with cloudy intervals
If the Scottish flag ever goes non-Christian, you/we (Scottish blood) could just have a grey flag with raindrops on it, or something blue sky with midgies. (Keeping it "social media nutcase topical" 😱)

Aleicja you broke me up in the mask. You two have the greatest attitude and humour! That makes our Saturday morning!

Even if Bonnybridge isn’t that Bonny at the moment, Scotland in general has some of the finest scenery to be had anywhere in the world.
everyone says that about their country, but im scots so i agree
Maybe Bonny bridge is where aliens fly tip

The answer is simpler than that. It's the strong drink they serve in the local pubs which the locals have never been able to handle 😇

You two had me in stitches. Alicia rocking her babushka look . So entertaining!
The litter is out of control. Why do people think this is alright?
Now, while I will admit that Alicia has a cute tush, to what does the word "Roots" refer on her sweat pants?

No Steve, YOU keep the adventure going. We are all just along for the adintifield ride. Hehe.
Enjoyed that video as always. The alien face mask at the beginning was brilliant.
Alicja's cameo at the start of the video was brilliant and hilarious, Mate! 😂😂😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Thank you.
Really enjoyed our Saturday ritual of eating lunch whilst watching the latest SM video and the comedy stylings of you both. Great stuff! 😀
👍
No one can accuse you of not. Roughing it on any of your adventures winter camping in bonnybridge is definitely off my bucket list
Keep it up!
I'm surprised your First Minister hasn't put litter on the protected category list so you get jailed for talking about it 😏
The kelpies aren't far from Bonnybridge, always worth a visit
Falkirk Kelpies are stunning 🤩👍
When the channel turns into a Scottish version of "Camping With Steve" :)
What a brilliant video! Alicja always makes me laugh, but your comment about being prodded for 20 minutes almost made me spray tea over my keyboard.
You can tell this trip was one of Alicja's ideas eh? :D
You have made me love Saturday! This one is particularly fun! I hate littering, it’s terrible. Interesting walk, though. It’s fun checking out abandoned buildings. The two of you are funny. I don’t think I could camp amidst all the soggy ground. It is a pretty spot.
Love you guys adventures, thanks for bringing us along!
I remember going back a bit, The weather for weeks was consistent cloud. Then one fine day the sun came out?The sun had never been seen for so long that people thought it was a UFO.
Being a Scot The above post is the most honest and truthful post ive read ^
Awesome video guys.I am loathe to see litter. But you guys brighten up the world 💯. Have a great weekend 👍
That Welcome sign at the castle looks ominous somehow...
My dear friends, take it from an old camper, never go camping without a ground cloth and a rain fly.🤗🐝❤️
That video was a bit of fun. Can't believe you guys camped where you did!
I would have urged them to sleep in the van in a park up. It would be much drier and not as prone to flooding from all of the rain.
@@mstrdiver They appear to be driving a white Toyota Yaris. Looks new, well newer than my 2013 white Toyota Corolla. Rosie T
You and Alicja make a great team. Up to trying anything. I loved both of your hoodies, so appropriate. Cheers, and ATB!
Camping in Bonnybridge beats the Ice Hotel anytime! Knowing West Lothian anything is possible! 😅
Your good lady was singing "Jump in my car" by David Hasselhoff, a true classic ! 👍
I do not know much about UFOs but I do know she is adorable
Hi from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
My husband is from Cardenden so enjoys watching your videos.
Stay safe x 🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸
The alien is a female in a blue raincoat and likes to jump up and down and has a strong accent , fascinating little creature, could be a nordic ,all the best guys.
“Steve Wallis would camp here”-😂😂😂 yes he would.
It really felt like I joined you two on a great trek around Bonnybridge! Delighted.
The antonine wall (rough castle) would've been a great place to camp in bonnybridge. Plenty flat ground and loads of roman history. At one point you were a 15min walk away from it😂
Looks like you both had a fun time! Very enjoyable to watch. Thank you! It is such a shame about the litter though.
Bonnybridge, of course in the rank of big places like Stockholm, Madrid, Bratislava etc..😅
Steve I think you should be proud of your channel and the content of the videos, I thoroughly enjoy each one especially the fact that you are prepared along with Alicia to put yourselves through some tough situations and experience rough conditions and challenges.
Well done to the pair of you.
Another great video and I enjoyed the banter between you both.
Thanks. Another great video. Very interesting info. And thanks for mentioning the Falkirk Wheel. I’d not heard of it before. 👍👍
6:20 "Taken away and get 'prodded'". Ahem, I believe the term is 'probed'. 15:43 "jump in my car, I want to take you home", Ted Mulry Gang 1975! Aussie music will live forever! Which is not always such a good thing, but this song rocks.
Great video . Loved some of the woodland scenes and views . Shame about the litter . Hopefully it will get cleared .
Its the fort and Clyde canal and the higher union canal .And you passed by my house .
