That is unicorn riding stance basically used in 'Nanquan' type events. Btw your dedication towards Wushu is great * Work on flexibility which you are already doing (try front stretching 200° or more and toe touched to head, mouth and chin) * After compititions perform your event with heavier weight swords (shoulder workout for lean muscles, provides great speed, thrust and rhythem). * Add resistance bands kicks to your routine * Add a week day for endurance training (cross country run) I am not an expert but giving training from a long time I hope you may find useful
That's really helpful, thanks arkeshwar! Stretching is a huge priority now, esp increasing degrees of my splits and decreasing inches for my head to toe!
That's interesting! I've heard of training with heavier weapons but haven't done it much myself. Do you think it throws off your balance at all, when doing more precise movements like yun or liaos? Like if you are trying to be perfectly flat make straight slices, etc.
Great vid! I'm even featured in it lol 😭 I love that you do wushu out of pure LOVE for it! It shows when you talk and you proved it again with your video. Seeing jumping like a little girl when coach Ding Wei showed that badass combo was both fun and very refreshing. I feel like many athletes, are loosing this type of love for wushu through time, so I'm glad to see people like you still have it ❤️ Your last movement is called "searching for my contact lenses" if I'm not mistaken!
HAHAHAHA you crack me up. Yes. I'm searching for my contact lenses. And trying to be the butt of a lion. My friend who coaches lion dance was like WTF so clearly I have a looong way to go 😂😂😂
Yeah it's actually been really interesting for me to train with a bunch of adults my age here in the states whose favorite part of wushu is the nandu.... Weird right???? 😂 but they approach it very methodically, and get a lot of satisfaction from the incremental progress. I guess they get as much satisfaction from their nandu progress as I do my wushu progress, so I guess it's just whatever keeps you engaged and loving to train.
You look amazing as always bosslady, great content. Keep crushing it🔥 Happy Chinese new year to you and your family, may the year of the tiger bring you many blessings & awesome Wushu adventures. Much love & respect. Stay safe & be well 🐼💘🙏
Love that little stuffed dumpling behind you! Were all those other people doing the same routine as you? but weith different weapons or a duster? (minutes 3-5)
i wish cameras and yt was so much easily accessible when I was training during my times so hard to see my self back then when I was training you all are so lucky these days! ding wei ur coach? yo i use to watch him all the time back then! lol! niceeee wait wtf r u doing at the end? duck form? hahahaha
LOLLLL NOOOOO ITS NOT DUCK FORM hahahah if you don't recognize this I'm doomed 🤣 I'm trying to be a lion butt 😂😂😂😂 clearly it's going poorly lmaoo And yes! Being able to film and watch, and watch other ppls moves, and slow down, and skip through... Ugh I have no idea how I'd learn wushu without it. Yeah ding wei is my coach! He's a total baller and the nicest person. Come say hi if you're ever in the area!!
Really nice to hear that, and i wish i could get some private advice (I mean I just need to know some combo movement and basic combined movement exercise, how and what to exercise) Pls help
do you have access to a coach? what language are you most comfortable in? some of my favorite tutorials are from CAWS, th-cam.com/users/clubargentinodewushu but it is mostly in spanish, but it is absolutely still useful just to watch the coach, Chen Min, demonstrate the moves.
or at least, mine in the sense that I put the movements together... but all movements are copied from somewhere. like a few are taken from an athlete named tiffany reyes, others are from a class i took, others are just basics.
"I practiced.....and then I practiced some more...." Pretty much the most important part right here 😅
true dat... :P
Woah ... that shenfa with the jian your coach showed🔥cool combo, look forward to seeing its progress like with the qiang 💪! 加油
I know right??? He's such a boss haha... Thank you Wesly!! Jiayou!!!

@@RebeccaChinn I’ll get something up soon haha, but I’ve been dabbling in fanziquan! Looking to add some elements of it in my changquan.

So fun seeing everyone @wushulife doing your combo! What was the name of the original athlete you are copying?
that one's mine :)

Is there support for wushu athletes in America
Not in the sense that there's any compensation or government provided financial support for competitors.
