I'm so jealous that Mobius got to have a McDonald's apple pie from the 80's, they've never been the same since they stopped deep frying them.
Exactly what I was thinking about the moment we saw an 80s McDonalds.
They still fry the apple pies here in Australia, so don't give up hope.
They still had those apple pies at McDonald’s in Germany when I visited in 2014. I even took a picture before I took a bite. I love how crunchy they are when you bite into them. I hope they still have them for my trip next year.

OB's response is in fact perfect, respectful, and professional. Rather than tell someone that their request is not important, ask them to determine what's a more important priority, and they figure it out themselves and don't resent you.
Well, you didnt turn down the request directly. That would be rude. Instead, he gave them the means to figure it out on their own.
Unfortunately not everyone is reasonable and too many people think their not important thing is the most important.
As for the pie in the automat, I'm pretty sure that's a '50s-style lime gelatin pie made with condensed milk instead of whipped cream or such, for that extra solid nuclear look.
I thought ALL key lime pie was green like that! Is it not?! That's all I've seen and assumed it was!
@@fuzzyotterpaws4395I’m from Florida where real key limes are from and real key lime pie is made. Real key lime pie is absolutely not neon green color! In fact real key lime pie is not even green in color at all. If it’s made with real key limes it’s more of a yellow color, and absolutely delicious (real key lime pie and pecan pie are my two favorite pies).

I would absolutely get an apple pie from the early 80s, because that was back when they fried them.
They were the best.
I would actually grab some nuggets since they also still used dark meat back then. Those were always my favorite of the bunch.
The not-seeming-to-eat-the-pie was distracting but I started thinking and seeing others mention that Loki may not be used to stuff that sweet (grapes and nuts from season 1), thought the pie was nasty, and made a show of eating the whipped cream for Mobius.
I love Loki doing Loki things. He shined in this episode. Though Brad was making some very valid points too. I was dying at your Brad Wolf equating to throwing up bit.
Tom Hiddleston switching flawlessly between Avengers 1 Loki and TVA Loki was amazing to watch. It was so seamless you almost miss it the first time, also LOVE anytime we get Loki magic😊. But that machine is the most terrifying unassuming piece of technological doom........

My parents both worked at McDonalds in the early 80s, and I showed them that scene to see how accurate it was. They said the uniforms are from after 1982, but my dad had the exact outfit the manager kid wore, and my mom had the hat.

I had to pause at the "Wow vs WoW" joke and walk away from my computer for a moment to consider my whole life up to this point.
Adam absolutely gave Jay the business in the end there. That teeth brushing set up was gold. Jay had no idea wtf was going on because Adam still plays it so straight. These guys!
It was such a big brain move to upload the reaction of the finale episode of this show when it came out. Idk if that was intentional but nice.
I think this episode would've benefitted a lot from showing us the perspective of all the lives in the timelines being pruned, but from the conversation Mobius and Sylvie have in episode 4, I actually kinda like that they didn't. The TVA was built to prune the branches. Keep the Sacred Timeline intact. To them, the branches were just lines on a monitor. And only recently has the TVA changed and begun to see the branches differently. But no matter how tragic the pruning of the branches is, they're still just lines on a screen to the TVA. So the moment in this episode and the conversation in episode 4 really work to highten the monotonous bureaucracy of the TVA.

I was really confused when I watched the first episode as well. I first thought Loki had jumped to another timeline where Kang (or He Who Remains) had built the TVA, but then I realized he was just timeslipping through the Sacred Timeline and that Kang/HWR DID build the TVA in the past in the Sacred Timeline. They do a good job explaining all the timey wimey stuff! If you really want to cook your noodle on time travel, you should check out The Lazarus Project!

I think my only major gripe with this season is that the whole ending conflict with Dox felt rushed. Like they needed a whole additional episode for just taking down Dox and stopping her plan. But whether they could only get greenlit for the 6 episodes or they didn't feel like they had enough other stuff to make a full other episode, they ended up squishing that conflict down to the ending of episode 2. I feel as though, had we gotten a full episode focused on Dox, maybe see her side of things and gotten more on screen conflict than just one fight scene, then maybe her redemption and ultimately her death might have been more impactful. Instead the general vibe I got of other peoples' opinions on Dox's death is hit or miss. Like, it feels we have been given no reason to really care about her character or death.

No cause I lowkey had a theory that mobius is a variant of Owen Wilson and cause in this series we NEVER get to hear a wow from Owen Wilson like the way OB said wow more times than mobius in the first scene they shared it speaks volumes
McDonald's burgers are my favorite, so nice and juicy and quick to eat. I don't like In-N-Out or anything like others do, I just like the juicy fastfood taste lol
Pretty sure even though new branches would form, it wouldn’t be the same branch that was just erased. All those people still died, all those lives were still erased. A new branch will form yes, but it won’t be those same people whose lives were lost.

Right, but that wouldn't work at McDonald's, since you pay up front. She'd order one of everything, the guy would tell her the total, and then she'd have to pay. If she has no money, then the order doesn't go through.
I agree about the Marvel fanfare. It is iconic. It screams Marvel.
What they're using for the Star Wars TV shows, not so much. They've got a number of iconic themes by John Williams that would definitely say "This is Star Wars!" But no, they use some generic nonsense that could be for anything. The visual part is great. I like how they customize it for each show, but the music they most often use, it sucks.
If they want to be subtle with using the iconic music for some reason, take a look at the Star Trek fanfare. Good visuals with fairly generic music, until the end, when they add three notes from the TOS theme that instantly locks in that this is Trek.

Speaking of running theories; This pie is really the first thing we’ve seen them eat at the TVA and it seems that they’re all Keylime pies. And some wonder, is the “calming” tone of orange everywhere, and the green of the pies an indicator that maybe those pies are made from Soylent? Hence why they have to be dyed such a bright Green?
