What a great time that was!! The crossover certification to the GO is super easy from any KISS rebreather because it's the same operationally...just in a different configuration. Woody is a very relaxed instructor. Todd and I thoroughly enjoyed the training and especially the open water subsequent dives with Pura Vida. One thing that we didn't film because we didn't have a dedicated above-water cameraman for this was getting off the boat. Because they are drift diving and to hit the wreck you need to go right when the captain says go, I was worried that managing a rebreather in a rushed get-off-the-boat-now situation was going to be difficult, but it was actually easy. I love the GO. I now have over 20 hours on it. Used it for an IMAX shoot with dolphins in the Bahamas right after this trip and it was amazing. Dolphins loved it!!! And I did a 3 hour shark dive!! Look for some videos on our channels soon. Thanks Gus and Woody for your amazing friendship and general awesomeness!!!
That was an awesome dive! I was star struck....great to meet you guys. And thanks Gus for complimenting my trim! Not a cave diver yet but someday 👌
I love when you guys collab with Jonathan!!
Me too because we all laugh so much, it's awesome!
@@BlueWorldTV I can tell!!
I have no doubt that a chest-mounted rebreather has its advantages, but it somehow lacks the "sexiness" of the hoses running over the diver's shoulders.
Yeah, it’s important to be sexy for the other 4 or 5 divers you might see under water…jk
Yeah but it's all about how it breathes. Man the thing breathes great.
I think it looks cool and more advanced than scuba technology, which has been around for decades.
that's what I'm saying!
Super excited to get certified on the DT GO. I've been researching various CCRs for well over a year now and this unit is exactly what I'm looking for. Best wishes for the launch!
Gus, we don’t if we don’t make mistakes and fail sometimes. It’s when we learn the most.
Great to see your rebreather in action!
I loved seeing this!! Hearing you explain everything Woody's commentary! Perfect dive talk
Can't wait to see all the specifics when you guys release it!
All that is available. Happy to send anyone a copy of the full manual now. Send me an email.

Very cool guys….after binging a ton of your videos on a EU trip with long travel hours, it’s crazy to see how far the channel has come.
I’m just a lowly open water diver with a deep cert, but now you’ve got me convinced that I want a sidewinder and to pursue cave certs with Ed’s outfit.
May be for later in life, but seems like so much fun and something you can easily do into your later years!
This looked such a fun dive! Love the BlueWorld collab as always! Was nice to see i'm not the only one who has accidentally let go of an smb reel XD. Exciting times with the DT GO!
It would be so amazing to be on a dive boat and realize Blue World and DiveTalk were also onboard. I'd probably poo in my wetsuit! 🤣
Well, in a dry suit that Depends. 🤔🤣🤭🤷🤦😉😂😂
It's the Bird Todd Dive Talk team up again! Awesome!
Awesome video guys I love y’all content and I’ve learned so much, you guys are helping me get over my fear of the ocean and water. Love yall❤
That was awesome guys!, Also Gus you still did amazing it happens to all of us no one is perfect!
Thank you Gus and Woody. Glad you guys are having a great time ❤
Saw the prototype in Cozumel, and we have em in the shop. Ray amd CJ had em on the boat just two weeks ago.
Cool to see em in the wild..
Yes! A CM Rebreather! I have a custom XDeep Zen and I've wanted more CM rebreathers on the market so I'm excited to hear about the Dive Talk Go!
Cool!! I just got to see the prototypes when I was training with Edd. Pretty cool to get an idea of how the process goes from start to finish
I want one! Can't wait for the product info
We missed seeing you guys by one day. That would have been cool seeing as I watch your videos.
I cant wait to have the training and my own GO great job
I spotted the SCUBUNNY!!!! 7:32. :) I actually followed you guys down that hallway on this dive right after you were in there.
Looks amazing, I might need one to take out more Lionfish! I did the exact same thing with my SMB while diving the Oriskany during my AN/DP certification.
Beautiful water!!
Gus and woody banter always gives me all the happy feels
So nice and quiet!
pura vida are some good folks, have had some fun times with that outfitter
that drift diving looks fun. i can see the water surface so life is never far away
I'd love to dive the Go.
There's an Innerspace Explorers video (or multiple) where Achim goes through all the different types of DSMBs and their pros and cons. The open bottom types are not preferred because (among other reasons) it's just more difficult to deploy because you have more stuff in your hands.
A "closed" DSMB is better across the board IMO. I never want to be getting a reg up around a DSMB where it can be snagged during deployment. In those conditions I would have used a slim style DSMB that you can fill with one large breath which makes the whole thing quicker and easier.
The Halcyon DSMBs are the best, but there are other very similar (but cheaper) ones from Mares and others.
Though I must admit that I don't have experience deploying a SMB with a rebreather - so keeping buoyancy would certainly be tricky.
I'm in Broward county and am very interested in getting onboard with this CCR.
Did the wreck trek two weeks ago with Pura Vida. The wreck trek is becoming a favorite drift dive. I believe there is 5 wrecks in the wreck trek. The rebreather looks interesting.
Can you train me on the Dive Talk Go?! Congrats guys! Can’t wait to get my hands on one for my first rebreather!
13:35 Seeing french AMX-TEC there (SW petrel protectors) blows my mind. I had no idea this was sold outside of France.
How do I get one of these? Obviously I need to be certified on this rebreather, but do I get with you guys and certify on it before purchasing?
Come dive ScubaWorks! I’d love to hit the ledges/wreck trek/deep ledge with you guys!
I should clarify, no disrespect to Pura Vida, that shop is awesome!👏
When is this being released? How to sign up for class now?
Was waiting to see if someone designed a CCR to integrate with your open water system. Only took 30years and it was KISS as no surprise. 2ltr bottles ideal for that range also. Nice work on the video, would've like to have seen a pull down of the breather itself though. 🙏
It wasn’t kiss. This was designed by Mike Young. But it is so nice to dive. If you PM me I’m happy to send you the manual which has all specs. I’ll also send you our training standards.
Just love the GO perfect for UW filming, could I use my Perdix AI or do have to have a dedicated Petrel Fischer 3 which connects to the system so adding to the total cost?
You need a dedicated wired computer to the unit but your Perdix AI could be your backup computer!
@@DIVETALK Thanks
Q: I enjoy your show, one of the few that gives me a laugh at some of your comments. I noticed a small o2 tank at the lower end of the rig, but what do you use for dil? I ask because Gus mentioned the the back tank is only used as back up. Do you use some of the gas to fill the loop? Thanks for the show.
The tank on the back is also Dil
Whats the price for the dive talk go?
I want one! I'm finding it very difficult to find any information on the unit. You mentioned the dive talk website, but I'm not even finding information on the website as well. Where can I get more info on the unit?
When we release it publicly. It’s coming soon.
Love to see a tour about that nice van yr driving.
Shooting the smb was so funny 😂😂😂 but ey it happens to everyone, and the spool just comes down so 🤷♂️
Dropping the spool while the smb is already shot, that’s hoping is it connected 😂😂😂😂
Will you be releasing cartridges for the scrubber like cm optima ? What's the minimum size bail out recommended?
The bailout size is based on the type of dive you’re making. We know that some GO divers are diving with an AL40 tank for bailout, which is plenty to get you to the surface on an NDL dive down to 132 ft. But AL80s are so much easier to find and divers already have open circuit gear set up for AL80s so it’s easier to just throw an 80 on your back and GO.
You guys live close to me. I'm in Miami. Would love diving lessons from you guys if there's a way I can sign up?
How can I get certified on that unit??
I actually have a question: does a front mounted rig make it easier to bail, or temporarily remove the rig if you're attempting narrow gaps in a cave? Does this configuration have better overall balance than on the back? (I imagine it does) I'm not a diver so I'm wondering what you guys have hit on with this new design that no one else has done? I'm proud of you guys either way! (Also I feel like you're addressing a particular video you've reviewed recently with the wreck dive commentary, lol...) That looked like a great dive day. 💜
This configuration has pros and cons, but bailing out starts at the “mouthpiece”, to it doesn’t really matter where your rebreather is mounted.
I just bought a sprinter, for my hobbies too😂, it’s awesome. How do you like yours, looks like the Vito, which one are you driving, and how do you like it??
We love our van!
Hey guys .. Is a stuck on diluent valve a possibility ?. Consequences and remedy ?
You aint never catch me cuba divin in no ochin 🤣
Go Pura Vida Divers!!! #puravidadivers. And @Dive talk don't worry about separation, PVD is cool with people breaking off and picking up when you blow a bag.
We need info! What type of rebreather is it? SCR? CCR? M or E? How long does the sorb last? Does it have water traps? What's the price? How deep can you go with it?
Any mods needed for a bp and wing setup like extra d rings?
It’s an mCCR and we will release all the other specs soon. This is a CCR for recreational diving profiles, not aimed for 330 ft wreck penetrations or deep cave exploration, this is an option for the vast majority of diver who just want to go underwater and look at pretty fish for 2+ hours without worrying they’re going to run out of air.
Specs coming soon.
@@DIVETALK will certifications be possible in Europe? 🥲
@@provuksmc6619 eventually. Yes.
I'm just here to help the algorithms.
The discord link isn't working. I'd love to as you guys some questions about devils hole that I'm very interested in, since watching your devils hole reaction video.
Edited my last comment with a link to the discord. Might get filtered
Gus and Woody, this is off-topic, but maybe you’ll see it. I want to see Ancient Caves SO BAD. Will it ever be released to streaming? Screenings are always hours away from me.
Unfortunately there are no plans to ever be available on streaming
when do you think the go will be available
Very soon
Around how much will the Dive Talk Go cost?
You guys gotta watch descending on tubi. Best diving show ever.
How long does the scrubber last?
Depends on the depth, work of breathing, water temperature, etc.
We are rating it to 2.5 hours to be conservative.
Is there anyway we can get our hand on these rebreathers commercially yet?
Yes they are now available. Send email to info@divetalkscuba.com
Gus! What dive light are you using?
OrcaTorch D710
@@DIVETALK man that thing is crazy bright, I just ordered a D630, excited for it.
Yes another dive talk vid
do you think this unit will be viable for cave diving?
No
I think the concept of a chest-mounted MICRO REBREATHER is great, but if Edd Sorensen didn't test it for a year at depth, I wouldn't wear it in the shower.
What would your air mix be ?
In this case we were all diving “shallow” so it was Nx32
We're not sponsored by Prime Woody. 😅
Where is your next diving trip everyone! Mines Catalina island
Dive Talk Meetup in Bonaire!
@@DIVETALK nice!
LETS GOOOOOOOOOO DIVE TALKKKKKKKKK🎉
How much do they cost?
Woody's birth state, Ft Lauderdale
The Dive Talk Go Rebreather looks very amazing!
What will be the price range of the dive talk rebreather?
$3500
@@DIVETALK Wow! Wish/hope for support in Australia at some point, I may actually be able to afford that and certification between my tuition as an international student!
@@stolfygaming we’re working on it!
@@DIVETALK I saw that neither PPO2 monitoring or O2 cells are included with the unit, so realistically this thing is going to be priced around the same as a triton after you buy sensors, a petrol, and a nerd for it no?
Would you need to use 2 dive computers? Your rig looks super cool!! And it’s sad to see such a dead ocean environment. No corals, no fish. So sad.
Yes you should have at least 2 computers when diving a rebreather.
I always dive with at least two of each piece of gear because of the redundancy safety factors.
Yall should play Subnautica
Why would you want to switch from a KISS to this rig? If you’re already certified on and diving a KISS, this seems like a strange choice.
I suspect it’s not targeted at people already diving KISS. I think it’s probably aimed at people who are just going from open circuit to rebreathers.
If you enjoy wrecks, come visit Long Island NY, we have wrecks mapped, and unmapped. You may even find a wreck that no one has been in for a while or never been in. Also we have a secret spot, that not many know, where you can see hammerheads, around July into the fall season, you can even catch a great white actually we have been getting a lot of whites last few years. That’s not my deal but I would be happy to set you up with some excellent dive buddies. Just can’t film the location above waters. Anyway awesome rig from the looks
Very interested in this go rebreather, would appreciate a more in-depth video on it please. 💦🤙
Much better title than what happens when the blue world team uses the dive talk go.. much less clickbait and on brand with the OG dive talk days
now we know where you live
Yeah stop by
@@DIVETALK Yeah!!! you got avocado?
What makes me impressed is the lack of life in the ocean. It is really sad.
Yeah don't give the Jake and Logan any endorsements
Watched this and was wondering how the boat was supposed to follow the divers while they're underwater?
th-cam.com/video/IR3lko8QHJk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=o38hG_NI3RAEEVIJ
If link doesn't work video title is: scuba dive boat loses divers at sea!
All because someone has good trim and form doesn't mean they're cave divers...just saying.
@@Navy1977 I strive for the neutral buoyancy of a turtle. I'll never be quite that great, but it's a worthwhile endeavor, I learn from each dive. It's baffling to me that all because you see someone with great trim they must be a cave diver 🙄.
We see it all the time here in West Palm Beach, cave divers who come on the boat with their helmets and 7' hoses for a shallow water dive to crash the reef and harass sleeping turtles by getting too close to them to take a crappy picture they have to doctor with Photoshop and claim they know more than a Marine Biologist who doesn't condone harassing wildlife in any manner. Oh wait, that guy was also on the boat too, oops.
@@Navy1977 I take advantage of the fact I dive that anytime I want, I truly love drift diving. Same here with configuration, I dive my backplate and wing all the time, and do tech dives as much as I can in my doubles, but also do doubles on shallow open water not to let my skills atrophy
@@Navy1977 steel 100s, the default standard for tech dives here, it's a bit much for shallow dives, I use a HP80 for that
I cannot believe you drink that crap Woody, seriously !
Ok I guess “don’t believe it” then ?
So why can't this rebreather work in cave diving?
It’s not designed for that…but the cave is underwater and this rebreather works underwater so you can obviously take it into a cave, it’s just not designed with cave diving in mind.
You became separated from your dive group while using newly developed high risk re-breathers? Lost control of a dsmb? Forgot how to run lines into a wreck? For a couple of divers that just went through a Bent Debacle one would hope you learned that very bad things can and will happen when least expected. At 66 I can agree with the old saying, "There are bold divers and old divers... There are no old bold divers". Please don't let the applause of the crowd drown out the few voices of reason. Getting a bit reckless with the safety of those diving with you.
Did you not watch or listen?? they had go breather and a full tank for just incase, and guess what, they were not very deep and the ship had cut outs,, relax cup cake -
High risk? What’s high risk about the rebreathers?
Seems to me it is LOW risk compared to open circuit.
They were in a squad too, not just two dive buddies lost.
Forgot how to run lines in a wreck? They didn’t run lines purposely you dim wit. Listen to the video…you don’t need lines when you always have a clear exit.
@@Cent51 he definitely didn’t watch the video 😂
@@DIVETALK I watched the video, alarming that you still miss the point. You put other divers lives at risk through negligence. I strongly urge you to reassert safety above all else. Please, my comment was not meant as an attack. Justifying what happened is the converse of developing a dive plan that will prevent those things from ever happening again. What modifications to your dive planning have been made to ensure that? Be well.
honestly, cringe, I wouldn't drink Prime out of principle, even if I liked it. I'm not giving that fucking scammer a penny (Jake Paul or Logan, idefk anymore, they're the same person)
Always a big fan, but have to admit love the fact you left the video in that you messed up the smb. We're all human and sometimes it happens, people who dont admit they're making mistakes are people to avoid. For sure if you have something to do with diving where every time you go under your life is in the hands of your training and gear.
It is very uncommon amongst scuba TH-camrs to show any kind of mistakes, they believe that showing mistakes would make people not believe them or trust them. I take a different approach, I think it’s important to show people that everyone makes mistakes and that making a mistake doesn’t mean “you’re dead”.
Woody only cares that drink is 🩷. 😉😂
