Aputure shows off new MC Pro and MT Pro RGB lights

- Aputure not only announced the LS 600c Pro at NAB 2022, but they also previewed prototypes of a new small tube light, the MT Pro, and an improved version of their small business card-sized RGB light, the MC Pro.

Aputure are adressing almost everything many of us have asked for, this is such a successful event for them. Great Job Aputure!
Ted is so nice he makes almost anything seem exciting
I am always in awe of Ted's public speaking and presentation skills. Personally, I would never be able to get through an interview like this without saying "um..." and "uhh...." a million times. The confidence, enthusiasm, and affability he exudes is incredible. I'd totally pay money to take a public speaking course taught by Ted.
Also, those tubes are pretty amazing.

He's a verbal ninja, able to take all of the questions and make it a positive answer.

Opposite. Every time that guy shows up, a bunch of bot-driven and/or cult-driven Ted worship shows up here in the (irrelevant) comments. All that matters is the product quality, pricing, and its timely delivery. Personality is a distraction, especially when it gives off aggressive salesman vibes. (I actually like Aputure products, and wish they'd get rid of Ted to finally join the world of mellow sane people.)

OMG those are perfect… I want a set of 4 at least. Love the small size as well, often 2ft tubes are just too big to fit into a small space…

Both these lights are how much the watts pls 🙏🙏 MC pro&MT pro.
MT looks like a smaller Colorspike light with horizontal screen and magnets.
The only thing that frustrates me about APUTURE is the fast turnaround of their products. No sooner have I purchased the latest and greatest, but they release an updated latest and greatest or a brand new product that sort of replaces the one I just bought
That doesn't make the previous product any less functional. Why would you be frustrated?
@@SimoBenziane I agree, I would think of the products as serving different needs of us customers instead of being a direct upgrade.
I would argue filmmakers are exactly the ones who need swappable batteries. It's very rare that I rig a naked tube to light my scene. I've usually got some components attached to the light. Such as an LCD or cinefoil or diffusion. Not to mention I usually have it rigged somewhere that is difficult to reach. Or I'm using a mafer or cardi to bite it rather than use the baby-pins on the end.
I'd much rather swap out a battery without removing all the components I've rigged than have to disassemble it completely and reassemble a new one.

Aputure is a completely overpriced and not always qualitatively well-developed brand from the same country of production as more than half of the products from the Amazon platform. It's amazing how they managed to captivate an entire young generation of filmmakers in the last 15 years of their existence on the film production market, so many believe that filming is only possible with Aputure...
Well done Aputure you will soon be able to produce film toilets and they will probably also appear as an explanatory video here on TH-cam... ;D
Compare the Nova series to Skypanel series in watts per dollar, notice the advantages of built in crmx receivers and built in power supplies, then realize how off base your comment is. Will a Nova last as long as a Skypanel? Maybe not. Can you light a set for a half to a third the price? Every day. My Aputure inventory pays for itself 4 times faster than my Arri inventory ever did. I'm able to buy more and use more on jobs. I hope they hold up many years, but even only 2 or 3 years means they are a good investment.
Half of the products on Amazon are complete trash. I know you're referring to the throw away lights like GVM or Yongnuo / whatever silly name they stamp on them. You have probably never owned or used an Aputure product if you're crying about how expensive they are. You may not have heard about Amaran either.
I have been on indie sets with the Amazon specialty lights. They are indeed trash. 🤷🏻♂️💯
