The Vervet Forest is a wildlife rehab series focused on Vervet Monkeys at the Vervet Monkey Foundation . The series showcases the process of taking orphaned and injured vervet monkeys through a foster mother program which helps these rescued orphan baby monkeys to be adopted by foster mother monkeys. The show is for fans of animal planet, nat geo, discovery and anyone who is an animal lover, loves animals and would like to be part of helping them get back to the wild.

Oh my gosh, they all look so different!!! I love the combination of Groots little dark face with his light colored fur. I’m a little surprised he’s not spending time with his foster mama. He seemed like such a little clinger as a baby, lol. Wonderful video Kyle, just wonderful 😍❤️😍❤️😍.

Oh my gosh they have grown so much. I hardly recognize them. I had to go back and try to find them to see how the use to look. It would have been fun to see a then and now picture. But regardless I loved this. Thanks for catching us up.

This is amazing. You deserve so many more subscribers. There’s a married couple on TH-cam that bought a 3 week old baby vervet monkey in the US and their page is all about their baby monkey. and they just started their page a month ago and are already at 140,000 subscribers.
Vervet Monkey Foundation it’s definitely hard to watch a baby monkey running around in a huge diaper and freaking out bc their “mommy” is ripping his hands off her shirt and sitting him down in a park with a leash on and saying “go play” for the camera ☹️
Yeah, its gross and knowing how these monkeys live when free, it really just makes me sick to my stomach while I'm watching it. I plan on releasing a "Why Monkeys Are Not Pets" Video in a couple weeks, for several reasons, but also as a response to this whole Max situation.
Vervet Monkey Foundation i found your page bc of them, but aside from that, it’s painful to watch and I hope that they will see the video you’ll make in the future and have a change of heart ❤️ not even in the future though, after watching any of the videos on ur channel I don’t know how someone can keep them in a house and a crate after seeing them with other monkeys 😟

CD 1 💚😊 you just gotta find the subtle differences. Thick or thin brow line, downturned or upturned brow. Nicks in the ears, patches of color on the face. If you pause the video on the different babies and look at them side by side I guarantee you’ll begin to see subtle differences.
I just love you guys and of course love all these amazing furbabies!! Thank you for all you do to help these gorgeous intelligent creatures, I hate when I watch videos and see someone call them pests, vermin and other nasty comments and say they all should be killed and tortured....so sickening to see people so nasty. I know you deal with this every day and I’m so happy you work to educate people on why they do what they do....including eating the crops when at once this was their land, sometimes as humans we forget to think of the consequences of our actions whereas these wild animals are just living their life not knowing they are doing anything wrong.
Keep up the good work, you all are truly making a difference.

As a Nurse I am used to the word "sickbay" being a place for the sick. Is the Sickbay Troop just for sick or monkeys needing rehab? I haven't been a viewer for very long so am not that familiar with the monkeys in that Troop. Is there any thing Stick can't do because of his shortened tail or has he just learned to adapt & compensate for it? It looks like he climbs trees just fine. Love your videos!!
Sickbay is not just for sick monkeys It's just near our sickbay and some monkeys that were there originally went into that troop. Stick is not handicapped at all by his tail, he's a champion. Thanks!
So, since Kobe doesn't have a foster mom, how does he get motherly affection?
Cheri1 he’s still friends with the females. But at his age motherly affection isn’t so necessary. It’s more about being groomed and having friends at this point for him.

I don't know if this question has been asked/answered, but if the foster moms (bless their hearts) aren't lactating, do the kids get to come back for milk or are they fully weaned at that point.
I love these special little ones and grown ups...Definitely wouldn't want them as pets! But I do have the urge to want to shnuggle bunny them!
May seem like a strange question...but do the monkeys have a certain scent to them? Ferrets tend to smell sweet or like corn chips...
Ferret Island Yes! They smell like wet leaves and dirt. 😊 Ferret smell sounds a lot more inviting 😄

Cheri1 yes. But he’s older now and doesn’t really crave it. He mostly gets affection as anyone else in the troop does.
How come they don't stay with the foster moms?
Question? What age are they considered juveniles instead of babies?
0 - 1 year is babyish. They aren’t really babies after about 7 months. But 1 - 2 yearsish are juveniles and 3 - 4.5 are sub adults then after that they’re adults.
