It was so sweet when Elliott & Desue fell in love before Mom even made it in the enclosure.
And Marlin...I was so happy when he perked up knowing he could have a new Mommy & didn't waste any time finding phyllis.
I just found your channel... what a difference from all of the other strange (and disturbing🙊🙉🙈) monkey videos flooding TH-cam! You are doing a beautiful thing!! It’s obvious you all know what you’re doing and have incredible love and compassion for these beautiful animals. God bless you!🙏🐒 And let me just say, it’s so refreshing to see some baby monkeys on TH-cam WITHOUT diapers and doll clothes and shoes, lol! (BTW, I spent a month in South Africa in the 90’s... I loved it!! Such a beautiful place! If I could, I’d go back there in a heartbeat and come volunteer!😊)

Vervet Forest volenteers, Kyle, monkey Mamas, etc ~ You guys are so wonderful for the work you do there at the Vervet forest. Merlin is so unique looking his big ole hanging ears that set him off from the others. They all have really distinct features and I am beginning to be able to tell some of them apart by facial features alone. Vervet monkeys are fast becoming one of my favorite species of monkeys. The adults are just as attractive as the babies and you can't say that about a lot of species of monkeys. I love these videos I only found this channel about 6 months ago. I've been watching Rhesus and snow monkeys and Java Long tails for about 3 years. If I were younger I would love to volunteer. What an awesome thing that would be. You all are so fortunate to be able to be part of their lives and rescuing the ones who are in need. I live vicariously thru you. Thank you so much for making it possible for us to see into their world thru these videos. A day with a new Vervet forest video is a good day! God Bless.

Always enjoy hearing about the baby monkeys and how they have progressed. l hope you will continue to do this about new arrivals their personality and updates. I find this very informative and educational. Great for teaching children about different types of monkeys and habitat and the danger they encounter.

I love these videos and can't wait for baby season, just a suggestion this baby season can you make each video longer, like at least 20 minutes each episode because I'm sure I speak for everyone, we love watching the lil guys and can't get enough lol.
lol. We'll see. You gotta consider. I'm one person. I do everything on my own, from filming to editing to writing the commentary even filming myself. It takes me 3 to 4 full days to put together an episode just in editing (this doesn't include the days or weeks of filming) from ingesting and organizing footage to the edit, to then writing the narration and recording it then piecing it together and choosing the best content to tell the story properly, then i have to do all the sound design and sound editing and then coloring the footage.
Then I'm coming back to answer comments, moderate the youtube, in the meantime I'm also creating content for the Facebook and Instagram and answering emails and questions and I'm doing all of this for free. The only money I make is what comes from Patrons and advertisements that people watch on the episodes.
So you gotta think. When you ask me to make an episode longer, it's not as simple as that. I never think about how long an episode is going to be. I make these episodes as long as is required to tell the story that I'm trying to tell. Faith Crane yeah I watched a video where she said someone stole him and they were gonna fight to get him back in court. But she also mentioned in that same video that the state they live in said they couldn’t have a pet monkey, so I think the lady is probably just being foolish and it’s probably for the best that she doesn’t have that monkey. Especially with a dog as rambunctious and unruly as hers, I’ve seen it too often, it’s only a matter of time in that situation before the dog and monkey hurt each other.

Do the babies remember their human caregivers after they have been placed with a foster mom and living with the troops?
The Foundation reports that they actually become afraid of humans once they're integrated into their new troop. This, despite the fact that they've spent months with their human caregivers. I asked the same question a while ago.
