Debussy is easily one of my favorites. His music is literally magic.
The Friendly Senpai no it isn't *literally* magic ok
informal use of literally:
Used for emphasis or to express strong feeling while not being literally true.
(From google)
Stelios Toulis you’re really likable
Lol
Yes I love his music I dont play it very well but I love it lol.
such an underrated piece. I think it's just as nice as arabesque 1 and claire de lune
I do agree, but they're very different pieces.
I prefer despacito

@@lcc9769 It was a joke check my profile, I'm a classical boi
It is not underrated
This is a masterpiece. The tone is perfect for the piece
ohh hiii!!!
Everytime I listen to this piece, as if I wanna cry. It really touches my heart.
same, Debussy is very genius.
Clair de lunes Debussy its very sad :(
great composers never truly die, they simply become their music
Melody Media who said it?
@@yannaischrire7327 Robert Ford, Westworld season 1 episode 10 but someone else may have said it beofre.
Yes, an old friend. I think it was probably Arnold.
This was a very good and fun piece that I just finished learning today. One of Debussy's finest work.
Wow congratulations!! Btw how long did it took you to learn the piece?
@@chiyukinoit’s a very easy piece so probably not long if you’ve been playing for a while

I can't read sheet music so when I see it being played like this I feel a much deeper connection to Debussy than if I was to just listen to it. Thanks for uploading this
Vivante Mixes
you should learn how to read it, it's it's a skill you'll never regret learning
ShaddySoldier depends on ones perspective.
Distressed Person Nah it's kinda the same no matter what perspective you have, if you're learning piano, you gotta be able to read sheet music

Never heard of it before, but I love it. I am constantly finding new pieces by classical masters that I absolutely love.
*You can tell a story just by music.*
This is divine. This music piece always connects to me at a different level all together.
This music induces a reverie of a sunny day and birds chirping and elation, however at some moments dark clouds emerge and rain starts to fall....
Inspired by this familiar masterpiece
I will dream of Debussy and his beloved daughter visiting Japan , where he was deeply interested ,with a big smile on his face .
I deeply adore Debussy and wanted to show Debussy the atmosphere , scenery and cityscape of Japan .
This is also true for Van Gogh .

Oh my goodness. I just listened to other synthesia channels for a while and came back to your channel. Wow! The quality is just so great. The sound just popped and is so clear. Love your channel!
This piece is so underrated. I played it in high school on the flute
Jak ja kocham ten classic
OMG. Not even kidding, I watched this to go asleep last night, then lo and behold you made a video of it
I'm playing this song in real life. Its so hard but it will get easier, I'm still on the first page
Alex InLa it’s been 2 years now, Sooo have you complete it yet?
I played it on vibraphone half the public was just crying
It's been 3 years now. Don't keep us on hold
Hey Alex. No pressure here, but.... Did you finish it?
Giovanni hello just saw the note. I never sent this e mail to you. My daughter plays piano, but not this piece.
I loved the cute little references Debussy makes to some of his other pieces in this one.
Amazing! Any chance you could upload 'Valse Romantique' - Debussy???
Wilburgur I didn't know autism cat liked impressionist piano!
Payton Gough heh... Debussy hate being called as an impressionist
Lau Zhen Zhoa but he was xD
Debussy also hated carrots.
Wilburgur lol I didnt know Autism Cat plays Piano
Out of this world!
It is a lovely masterpiece
your covers are beautiful!!!
Actually, these aren't covers they are original versions of the song.
just beautiful :)
Can you please do Ravel's Une Barque Sur l'Ocean, ot would be awesome to actually see it...
What a beautiful piece, been practicing this song, little hard but I'll get there.
So... Do you completed it?
It would be incredibly convenient if you put links to pdf sheet music in the description.
+Loic Kittentine Thanks for that suggestion. I'll try to add that to my previous videos as well... soon!
pianoREADER THANK YOU~
Loic Kittentine
Just get the notes off this
nightwalker 983 Sometimes its easier (a lot easier) to just read the music. It tells you more info about what notes are being played and when.
I know I'm 2 years late, but you can just get the music for this off imslp.
the new background and thumbnails are BEAUTIFUL. combined with pianoteq, its perfect!
+Eric Lee the sound in this video is very clear and heavy and warm, i love it, its so much better compared to the other pianoreader videos btw
+Eric Lee also, is that a nebula in the background too?
+Eric Lee Yup, the background started as an image of a nebula. Thanks for your comments Eric!
can you upload Valse Romantique too?
3:05 that part
This piece is so good
I love your channel plz upload more videos
These violent delights...

this music is so rich and lively we will tell a story with always this sweetness. nothing to do with the weak and diabolical music of our time. rest in peace.
imagine being the human being that invents a piece of mastery like this one?
i think to write this master i will be a very happy person who would see life in such a high way it is divine.
素晴らしい演奏です。
Esta música es como ver el agua de un arroyuelo, una estrella fugaz o una llovizna entre los árboles. Es preciosa. Gracias a la vida por dejármela escuchar una y mil veces más.
Dare I say it, it's his best piece. Better than Clair de Lune, in my opinion. CDL is undeniably beautiful, but I've just never had a thing for the black keys on the piano, I've always associated them with very sad music, and CDL sounds very sad, I personally like it better when it's played on the white keys.... but that's just me.
Never mind, Ballade is his best.
@@grandbluepianistofthesky9469 I love them. Ballade, Clair de lune, Reverei, deux Arabesque, images (especially reflets Dans leau) estampes and so on. They are exterimly beautiful.
@@stravinskyfan the first piece of the estampes (pagode) holds a special place in my heart
beautiful, thank you for uploading it. Maybe another piece by debussy "The Girl with the Flaxen Hair" perhaps?

Reminds me of being in a wistful daydream.
Debussy devait sans doute lui même etre un grand rêveur
Rhythms like these are more difficult for me than most pieces by Rachmaninoff or Liszt..
sound great, i love it :)
do you have Pagode from Debussy ?
could you please bring some jazz? like what you did with "the crave". I would love to see "finger breaker" :)
I love Debussy (lenny face)
Critickage excuse me sir this is a good Christian server :e
Charles Mcbain I agree! We do not allow such vile words in this Christian server!!
Debussy è magico...
This is amazing
Beautiful😍😍😍
Do u have sheets for this?
Sweet Keys
PianoREADER-I wish you would remove the 5 seconds at the beginning and 10 seconds at the end that are from the midst of the piece, and just have the piece from beginning to end. 0:06-4:44
just finished learning this :) I like it!
Charles Valentin Alkan how many days or weeks did you master the piece?? I just want to know because I'll be playing this in a piano recital
Leaphril Sajonas about 3 weeks in total. 2 weeks to learn and 1 week to performance level.
Charles Valentin Alkan oh thank you so much! 🙂🙂🙂 so how many hours in a day to practice in order to achieve that 3 weeks mastery?? my first piece was actually first arabesque but someone just performed it last recital then I went for claire de lune but the octave fingerings scares me a lot. So I went for this since it's also great and full of expressions.
Leaphril Sajonas I spent one hour per day but before I played some czerny/ hanon to warm up. There are 5 sites with 24 bars in total so I learnt a bit more than one bar/ day. Then I spent one week working on the musicality. Its actually quite easy to play and read. Good luck! 😁👌
Charles Valentin Alkan thank you so much for the information! It helps a lot for me as a first time recitalist.. and yes I do practice hanon warm ups before playing the piece as also prescribed by my teacher 🙂🙂 thank you so much! 😊😊
ありがとうございます。
where I can I get the above midi with the same right and left-hand arrangments?

Can you try and find Rachmaninoff's Ossia Cadenza from his 3rd Piano Concerto.
+SlicktheSlipperySeal hopefully with horowitz's performance too :D his ending of the cadenza is unmatched
PLS upload Debussy's arabesque no. 2

i heard this song once and i really really liked it but i didn't know who wrote it so thanks lol
Why wouldn’t the uploader include the midi file in description? Wtf
What do the darker and lighter shades of green and orange indicate?
Eleanor Forman Whether the key is black or white.
Test 101 No it doesn't. I believe it's to show which hand you should use.
Heffman55 Tomlinson That‘s the different colours.
The SHADE of the colour indicates whether it‘s black or white.

The MIDI recording is not 100% in line with the sheet but still pretty accurate and well played!
Reminds me of over the garden Wall
Am i the only one that noticed that right hand of the 0:54 section is played differently by everyone? Is this one the best version tho?
Who played this?
Oh your thumbnail missed the name of this beautiful piece. Anyway, thanks a lot!
+Jack T. L. Wong Haha, I ran out of room for that. And you're welcome Jack.
I really want to do this 😭
Do you think you could cover Soldier by Taemin?
ClickPulse Shawol alert
in what chord (or I dont know how to say it) is this written? i think its a minor one
KatyaPiano What you are referring to is the key. The majority of the piece is in F major, with a section in the middle in E major. The minor that you are hearing is a tendency to focus on D during the F sections, which gives the illusion of being in D minor.
Alex Hayes thank u! It sounds a lot as minor (sorry for my english its cause I'm mexican)
Isn't it supposed to be a little bit slower?
Hit space bar 100 + times to get the order of the notes for the 3 against 4 polyrhythm (I can't even spell that). Thx! Saw it 5 measures in when I went to try and read this MFer.
I don't know why, but this sounds like a song from the forest, night, or lake of an RPG to me
谢谢
reminded me of urusei yatsura movie 2 bgm
I want to learn this piece, will it be hard?
BR C no its quite easy
BR C You need a bit of practice. I'd say it's a 6 out of 10, in terms of difficulty.
❤❤❤
I just learnt 1 minute of claire de lune and my fingers hurt
How u doin with it now bro? Hope u good :D
Arabesque 1 is miles better but this is really nice
What it sounds like: 👼
When you play it: 🥵
Who's the pianist? There's no way this was played by a computer
This harder to play and to hear
It doesn't sound like anything to me
freeze all motor functions
Tae S This is impressionist music... Do not expect meter and melody to be like the romantic era/classical era.. The impressionism era is more on the mood the pieces give.. not the melodies and the tempo..
LAWR I believe you misinterpret his comment. You see, Reverie has recently become very famous because if it’s use in an award winning tv-series called Westworld. It is about a park with humanoid robots who tries to mimic the old west with the cowboys. Whenever these humanoid robots see or hear something from outside the park they are programmed to not register it and answer with “Doesn’t look like anything to me”, or “Doesn’t sound like anything to me” to not ruin the immersion. It’s very good series and I highly recommend it.
Something wrong with you
This comment is referring to the TV show Westworld guys...

Season 1 was so good but what the hell was that garbage in Season 2?? Yawnfest! What happened???
i finally got the rhythm right just to get to the first chord in the song and not be able to REACH???
