If everything in life was as dependable and honest as that Honda life would sure be simpler 😂👍

Had one of these in 73 new. Rear mud guards tail lights hand levers and handlebars were constantly being replaced. These bikes are a lot of fun it's amazing any still survive. Iam 64 now but I still got one.

Had one of these in a 1971 model
Ended up with a 145cc powroll kit and a supertrapp, S&W shocks with a skunkworks system. Schrader air valves on fork caps ,knobbys and
the plastic Preston petty front and rear fenders ,etc ! Rode it all over the place street and trails couldn't kill that cool bike another one that I wish I had never sold 😖😄

Brings back a lot of memories. I had the model below this the SL 100 in candy apple red. Had some great times on that bike. That would have been about 1971. My first real motorcycle!

I got just that bike back in 1972 or 3, replacing a yellow sl70 that I'd outgrown. I rode it just about every day in the part of rural Ky where I lived. I kept off the main roads, but rode it without incident on the back roads without tags (I was 14); the local police never said a word. I doubt that's possible now. Anyway, it's amazing to see this bike now; every feature seems utterly familiar. Hard to believe this ones in such great shape after nearly half a century. Thanks Kaplan Cycles! You guys are great.

Great looking bike. 58 years old now and remember my 76 xl 125. Was the best wheelie bike I have ever been on. With a very slight uphill grade you could wheelie them easily for a mile.

Had this same bike. 10 years old couldn't register lol stripped everything off that I didn't need but saved everything. Preston petty fenders and full knobbies and went up 4 teeth on rear sprocket. Wouldn't do 55 miles anymore but what a freaking woods bike and would climb up the side of a house if you could stay on it. Lol

Back then word was, the SL100 was faster. Dirt Bike Magazine called the 125 "turtle chaser". Always loved the SLs, restored me a 71 back in the early 90s.

  • @chrishart8548

This looks like overhead cam. Do you know what the horsepower is for the pushrod 125 and ohc version the latter seemed a good bit faster although people with cg125 claimed they were just as fast. Are the brand new air cooled 125 cb125f ybr125 etc closer in performance to the ohv or ohc. My dad's garage is still full of old honda,'s. Got a cd175 (71) cb175(76) cbx550f2 (81) cb125rs (83) xl250r(82)

Don't think Honda did a 2 stroke 125 trail bike did they ? There was the Yamaha DT Suzuki TS Kawasaki KE Honda were always trying to complete with 4 strokes even the cb125t super dream was trying to compete with the rd/GT kh all 2 strokes

Nobody wanted a honda back in the days cause they wehre slow as fuck in comparison to some 2 stroke suzukis or yamahas
