A Classic work of art she is beautiful no doubt love the kawasaki color on the Honda if I was a wealthy man I'd have a room with 30 of yall's Bike's.. 😆
That thing sounds way better than the CRF250L I used to own, and my current Z400...both sounded like sewing machines until opened up. That little SL sounds mean!
Wanted a SL 100 bad around 72 or 73. I ended up in 73 with a brand new 71 Hodaka Super Rat that was still sitting in the dealership's show room. . . . Thank God 😆
Oh my god what memories this brings back! In high school, I had an sl 100. It had the same green paint, and except for the 25 extra ccs is a twin to mine. I loved it and rode the ears off of it!
I had a 1972 Honda SL100,candy apple red.It was my first real Motorcycle that had a clutch and 5 speed transmission. It would run about 63 mph on flat ground and was street legal although I only road it off road.
I had an SL100, a 1972 I think. I bought it from my brother who thrashed it as a budding motocross rider, and then I thrashed it trying to keep up with him on his 125 Elsinore. I only knew 2 speeds - parked and WFO. I don't think it had the tach. It was definitely ridden into the ground.
That was my Jr. High dream bike . But I still hadn't saved enough money to buy one yet . That came about a year and half later . I always have had a deep respect for Honda . PK
Wow, nice! I had one in Poppy Yellow Metallic that I bought new from Manchester Honda, Manchester Connecticut. I think that color was only for the 1971 model year. I would ride it from home on the streets to the trails and back home. Not much power, but a fun little bike and Honda quality. Super reliable, never missed a beat. Thanks Ken.
My older brother had a 71 SL100 that I used to laugh at because it had mirrors and the rack, hopping off my XR75 on to the SL was an instant power upgrade. That one is clean.
if a bike manufacturer gets their act together and makes these they will sell so many everyone will have one, Chinese methods of mass production would drive costs down to something like $1500 - $2000, imagine this with LED lights & blinkers, gas shocks, CDI ignition, front disk but keep everything else as it is here, an oil-cooled 4T with 6 speed,
When I was a kid this was a dream bike
