I was in Jr. High when a kid from California moved to East Peoria where I lived . He had a Honda 125 just like that one and I decided an XR 75 just wasn't going to cut it . It was driving my younger brother crazy . He decided my new bike was going to be his too . I decided my hard earned 2 paper routes a day money was going to buy the best motorcycle I could afford . It did and my Dad to keep the peace bought him a new YZ 80 . Which was fine with me . We both have had more cars and bikes than you could imagine . PK
BTW, Ken, some months ago my buddy and I checked out a guy's vintage motorcycle collection and in it I spotted a 1971 Honda SL-100 K1 in mars orange just like the one I owned as a kid. Guess where he bought it from? KAPLAN CYCLES! It was gorgeous, man! What an incredible experience that all you guys get to work on and ride so many wonderful vintage motorcycles! Keep up the great job in keeping these beauties on the road, trails, and in people's hearts!
Back in the day, I had friends who were brothers and both had one of these, another friend had a XL125 and I had a 1971 SL70. We rode and rode and rode. All of these bikes were reliable. You could ride all day for less than $0.40. That would get you 100 miles.

Awesome little bike! Had one from the mid 90's until about a year ago. Ended up with putting a 1979 XL185S motor in it together with front forks and rear Hagon shocks. Perfect wheelie machine in 3rd standing on the pegs
