@@IronMan-jj2fd It's not who cares which height you claim personally evening is the best an hour after you wake up as that's when you go out and most people see you
You meant with "usually" in the morning so don't measure in the morning your average height is 5'11 1/2 range and you're 5'11 1/2 usually in the afternoon
shrinking depends on proportions and body weight, the more your height is dominated by uper body + short legs, the more room you have to srink.. people on the opposite who have very long legs and smaller torso shrink way less.. and so it with weight, heavier bodies shrink way more than slim bodies.
6'1 in the morning. Can stay close to that height if I don't do much, throughout the whole day. If I'm active all day, so if I do a workout, walk to to work, where I'm leaning over all day. I lose easily an inch and half, if not more. Crazy how much height you can lose, I notice it to. Some people I know I've got an inch or two on, can sometimes be the same height as me.
Today I went to the gym and realised how 2 guys that are smaller than me by a little bit became taller than me. I was wondering to myself how much you can shrink in a day, today I definitely feel that I shrank up to 2 centimetres which is crazy. Nice video by the way!
About 10 years ago did lots of types of stretches that were said to help with posture and gain or regain lost height. I actually gained a half inch of height in the morning but would still drop to the same daily low height but once I stopped doing these stretches I lost that half inch.

You said laying down for 10-15 min would decompress your spine (I've also heard something similar from another person), I have given it a test to see the extents of its working after around 6-7 active hours where I've lost around 1.2-1.3cm, I've only managed to regain 0.3cm following a 15 minute lie down. For me personally it doesn't seem to be efficient, especially for those shorter on time. What would you say is the most productive "decompression per time spent" activity that can be done (some particular stretches?) during a short period at midday, I'd assume hanging would be one of them, but something like that is not always within the reach. Perhaps something more manual? Also just a comment to one of your messages on here, with me weight lifting actually seemed to have done the opposite effect. It might have something to do with me gaining weight/muscle mass (as I was border underweight). Doing squats would logically decompress, but as I've gone bulkier over a year by 50 pounds I have gained a little morning height of around half an inch. That's during mid 20's. Correlation may not be causation, and it might have been some unusual late spurt but overall size increase seemed to have affected my height that seemed to have been static for several years.
Justice Rule I do squats too, if I do it in the morning, normally by noon I would reach my Low height of 180.2cm but there is no permanent height loss as Long as you have the correct posture while squatting and regarding the weight gain, maybe when you were underweight, your core was weaker or your back was hunch, as you started working out you have a stronger core and stronger back hence you had better posture.. just an assumption
I did this today: Morning (around 10am): 185.3cm After one hour (11am): 185.1cm Midday: 184.7cm 2pm: 184.3cm 6pm: 183.8cm 10pm (bedtime) 183.3cm All honesty your height shrinks depending on how rigorous your day is. In my case I'm 6'2.8 (1.90) when I just get out of bed, but at night I'm 188.3 or 1.88. Of course with shoes I am always 6 foot 3 (1.91). I think the same thing happens to me as Tom Welling, Idris Elba and Ashton Kutcher. So, I always claim 1.90 😅 because people don't notice 1 cm difference with my 2.5 cm skechers sole (anyway 1.9 barefoot it's my maximum height of the day). hey rob is there anyway to maintain morning height? or avoid too much shrinkage coz in the morning im 182 and before bed im 178 or sometimes as low as 177.
I lose 3-4cm too through out the day and I'm 16 years old. I also have terrible upper back pain since one year and cannot sit/stand for more than 5 minutes. Due to that I'm not going to school for 1 month. I've been to 5 doctors and when I told them that I lose 4 cm height during day all of them laughed at me and said it's impossible and I'm illusioning it. And also said if it were true they'd have to rewrite medical books. No one can diagnose my pain and I'm feeling terrible.
I wake up at around 187.6 cm. My work sometimes involves quite a bit of moving heavy objects ( load / unload the van that goes from the warehouse to our shops). During one of those particularly strenuous days, I decided to measure myself once I got home, after dinner. I was 183.7 cm. I usually finish a regular day a few mm under 185 cm, so this was quite the shocker ( my lower to mid back was hurting like hell).

I say 179cm and 178cm for most of the time . I am 16 btw
In the morning after I wake up Im 185cm, and at worst, when Im doing stuff like carrying weights all day that compress the spine, Im 182cm. 3cm is not noticable by everyday people but still crazy how it works
Is it reasonable that being overweight, (In my case I would say by about 40-50 pounds), and running or doing sprints can significantly increase someone's daily shrinkage? Because I'm convinced that I'm losing at about an inch throughout the day and I'm slightly taller than 5'9 in the mornings but I'm going down to a little over 5'8" at the end of my day.
It depends what you're doing during the day. Even if you exercise by running/sprinting, but afterwards you lay down or sit down and relax for a while you will easily gain more height. But if you're extremely active and constantly on your feet all throughout the day then yes, you will definitely shrink more than normal. I'm not sure on being overweight though.
What about me? With moderate activity : Wake up : 184,0 cm After 1 hour : 183,1cm After 4 hours and a jogging 182,65cm Early afternoon: weak 182,5cm And before bed: 182,1 or 182,0cm... What should i claim?
Interesting that the bulk of height shrinkage occurs during the first hour of being awake. Gravity really gets to work fast on your spine 😂 But after that your spine stabalizes and doesnt lose much after that. Im gonna test this theory myself tomorrow. Im very curious.
I am 187cm I''ve gone as low as 185.2-184.7 cm but on average I am 187-186 cm with shoes on and during the day and 185.2 cm barefoot at night before bed

I continued to do thoses exercises occasionaly and somehow I again start to shrink in the morning.
Yeah, gravity and biology are some MFs! I'm 32, and I used to workout a lot when I was younger. I also used to have serious back pain from my late teens to late 20s, because I strained my back several times lifting weights. I wake up 5'9" and by early evening I'm typically about 5'7.5". I still suffer intermittent back pain, but I bought an inversion table and it's helped when I actually use it. It generally just collects dust, but I'm going to start using it more often because I'm starting to feel shorter now, it's very weird! 🤨

shrinking depends on proportions and body weight, the more your height is dominated by uper body + short legs, the more room you have to srink.. people on the opposite who have very long legs and smaller torso shrink way less.. and so it with weight, heavier bodies shrink way more than slim bodies.

I'm that way I loose at least an inch, maybe a little more. I think because my back is so long if that makes any sense.

I shrank the same amount as you during the first few hours, but after that I continue shrinking whilst you maintained your height.

You measured up above 5'9"?
Is it reasonable that being overweight, (In my case I would say by about 40-50 pounds), and running or doing sprints can significantly increase someone's daily shrinkage? Because I'm convinced that I'm losing at about an inch throughout the day and I'm slightly taller than 5'9 in the mornings but I'm going down to a little over 5'8" at the end of my day.
Passivly assertive Yes, losing weight definitely lowers shrinkage.
More you weigh the more gravity does work on you, so heavier people definitely loose more height than the average person

I wake up 191cm and go to bed 187cm, what do I register my true height as? 6'2?
I am the one and only
That’s not possible, 188.5 at night maybe?
You need to be remeasured
@@lukeand98 and what your height 190cm or 189cm
Claim half an inch more of u want
When you are wake up, so it means you’re 191cm
But how did he shrink? Was it the lift weights, or something? Maybe just standing without sitting or go to bed?
I wake up just under 6'3 (190cm) and go to bed just under 6'2 (187cm). Didn't know you had a TH-cam channel, been a fan of your website for a while. Do taller people generally loose more height during the day than shorter people percentage wise?
My heights weird. I know my absolute low is 174.9, but it's hard to pinpoint my morning height, as well as my average.
your heights weird...that makes no sense
Your morning height should be at least 177, so your average will be near 176cm
if your absolute low is 174.9, then you are a legit 5'9 dude
Man this is so interesting, I usually start the day at 6'2 (188 cm)
End the day around 6'1 (185 cm).
However i went on vacation from work for two weeks and noticed i was waking up at 6'2.5, is this normal? honestly super weird lol
Getting 8 hours of sleep would bring you to your maximum morning height for sure
I’m the exact same as you. Do you claim 6’2 or 6’1?
@@htotheg5715 honestly I'll usually say 6'1 but been times where I've been the same height as people saying 6'2 where I guess I haven't lost height yet during the day and just be like oh same lol.
@@Beastman714 I think you are 186cm then. Our height is pretty much our standard height. I’m 188cm and 189cm morning and 187cm night. Out of bed I’m 190cm. But as I said most of the day I’m 188cm. I think our real height is somewhere 4-5 hours after getting up and being active
@@footballfan283 interesting my true height is confusing I’ve woken up at 6,1.5 before but sometimes I see I’m 6,1 how does that work
why i was telling you that you are 174 cm because in the morning you are 175cm,u think you are 173 cm but keep in mind that you go out with shoes which gives you 2cm do you will look 175.5,I just don't understand why you claim and feel 173 cm when are completely 174cm,if you were 173 cm before bef you would be 171,it's your decision to be 173 but if i were you i would always say 174.5
I literally shrink like an inch or more some days from just under 6’1” to like just under 6ft
I go from 6’ to 5’11.25. Right now it’s 9pm and I’m 5’11.75 after working out all day and running.
I've been my morning height all day, which seems weird to me. 9pm now. It's a hot day and all I wore was a shirt, but I doubt not wearing a coat/jacket made a difference.
Me in the morning 5'9, In the Evening sometimes 5'8 or 5'7 half.
Legendre you don’t shrink that much
@@gggggggg5917 when in the day I'm lifting weights usually 5'7..
but how yarrr
How plzzz tell me
It's scientifically proven you will shrink at the end of the day but return to normal every morning.
Morning height: 190,5cm, evening height: 188,5cm, i always claim 190cm because it's my longest morning height and i measure myself barefoot
You are 189-190cm actually
