- I hire a private nurse today in Pattaya. The nurse will live in our house and provide care and comfort to Vee. I'll go over how much that costs and all the details. We also give Vee a haircut prior to her first Chemo Treatment and visit some hungry dogs at a huge animal shelter.

Wow. Vee is still thinking of others and doing good deeds. In spite of feeling miserable she still humbles herself on her knees to her mother. What a trooper. 💕

Lucas a slow drip of chemo has less side effects. I experience this with my wife who had to do six sessions of chemo. They’re hitting her hard with chemotherapy. That’s why it’s a slow drip. She’s getting harsh chemotherapy.
The first day after chemo is reasonable, but it gets worse for the next couple days. Basically the chemo patient falls apart for a week after chemo and then builds back up again for the next session.
Make sure she takes her nausea medication very important. Even if she doesn’t feel nauseous she still has to take it for the recommended amount of time. The nausea medicine blocks the brain reception of her stomach wanting to throw up.
When she starts chemo, they should be giving her anti-nausea medicine also. Good Luck.😢
Difficult times! She is kind person and thinking of others in their struggles. The cutting of her hair to help others was so nice. I pray for you both and hope she controls the discomfort and you are so kind to hire a professional nurse to assist everyone through a difficult time of healing. Her smile heart warming.🙏💖

As a person who has lymphoma and had 9 months of chemo and immunotherapy I have an understanding of what she is to go through. She has a long journey ahead and will need all the support you can give. Yes I did not lose my hair either I am on hormone treatment and chemo. My hair has actually become thicker.
What a display of character from Vee, I'm always impressed by her strength and I know she's going to be cured and well real soon.

i refused to take the xperimental "safe & effective ....." as it causes what Vee unfortunately has got , & this was known before the roll out of the above . I'am not reckless with my life/health

My Thai wife and I prayed for you both at our local temple today. P.S. My wife had a terminal breast cancer diagnosis 10 years ago. So wonderful to have the visit from Vee's family to cheer her up. I am sure that knowing you are taking care of her gives them great comfort.
The full time live-in nurse is essential. Definitely give her a day off a week.
Need to maintain a positive attitude, as you are clearly doing.
The side effects of chemo can be brutal. Hope that the meds can alleviate.
I will patronized Insomnia when I arrive next week to help feed the dogs.

Vee is an amazingly brave woman. Such a trooper having to go through this. Donating her hair so cancer doesn’t take it! Praying that this chemo will shrink the tumor and get her in remission. Good man for taking good care of her. The nurse option is an excellent one. Need to leave all that medical stuff to the expert nurse. Continue prayers for you guys 🙏🙏

One thing that would help Vee to be comfortable at home is an adjustable bed. She can adjust the bed in a sitting position when she wants to sit up and then set it back in a sleeping position when she is tired. Some of these beds come with USB ports for your accessories. I got one for my Mom when she was ill. Really made a big difference for her comfort.

The private nurse idea is great. If I thought my older siblings would allow it, I’d move there now and take mom with me and have a nurse for her. But I don’t think that would go over well! It is a testament to her spirit and kind heart that even going through all of this she thought of helping others by donating her hair. And I am sure the visit from the family made her happy!

well done Insomnia . 450 dogs is a lot . I have been here for 20 years and always have around 30 muts ,to feed ,look after etc . Respect to those people who care for animals

Speedy Recovery for Vee! I have watched you for the whole of Covid 19 from the Bahamas, She is always same quiet and Loving with her not Speaking but silent demeanor, this is a shock to see her in this stage of her Therapy, My wife was in this stage 5 years ago, I know the feeling, I pray for a speedy Recovery.
Good to hear you found a reliable service to provide support to Vee. Just a comment since my daughter runs a nurse school and placement service, based on the price I feel confident that the lady the service provided is actually a nurse aide, not a registered nurse. This is a cost effective way to provide adequate support for Vee. A registered nurse, not needed at this time, would cost significantly more and not provide housekeeping and cooking help. We are hoping foe the best for Vee.

Been following you guys for quite some time now. I had radiation therapy for 45 days back in 2014. Nothing as bad as Chemo. In 2020 the cancer was back and I had cryotherapy. So far so good. Also have skin cancer. My heart goes out to you and Vee. You guys are great people. You are in my prayers. ❤

Having been through this twice ,once with my father and with my wife, I can feel your pain.
The very first treatment is the toughest but it becomes more tolerable but still painful.

3 years ago my wife was diagnosed with kidney cancer she’s fully recovered albeit less one kidney . Liver cancer is a different beast but never give up hopefully Vee will respond to treatment. 🙏🏻

All theses events and uncertainties can be overwhelming and the genuine concern from all of your subscribers, can be both reassuring and daunting. Lucas your doing an amazing job keeping an even keel and getting things done, but this is only the beginning, you need to take time and prioritize, your handling the stress, but it can accumulate silently without warning, and put you in the hospital. Vy will know and worry about you and that won't help her. So deligate, share the load, look after yourself. Your her rock! We are all praying 🙏 for you.
