Pixelated Apollo well since there is Australian troops and New Zealand troops it makes more sense Indian troops generally are considered British troops so yes they are it's just it makes more sense for ANZAC with British or dominion (Edit Commonwealth is later it's dominion forces really)

    Austria ---> Hungary

    Cannons ---> Catapults
Life Guards of Horse ---> Life Guards of Foot

Isn't it remarkable that the there was more respect and good humour observed between the Commonwealth and Ottoman forces (which is well-documented within both armies) in Gallipoli than in a TH-cam comments section? The fact of the matter is that the British Admiralty sent tens of thousands of British and then-colonial soldiers to fight a well-led, battle-hardened Ottoman army occupying an extremely defensible well-fortified position.
Even so, the ANZACs and British forces fought hard and bravely (the Battle of Lone Pine is one heroic yet tragic example). I suggest that if the tables were turned, the Ottomans could do little (if at all) better. The stupid shouting contest here is pathetic and trivial excuse for racism and ignorance. Both invaders and defenders fought like lions for their mates or for their homeland respectively and the Turkish soldiers deserve better than "XXxI'mADickheadxXX"'s kebab comments.
I'm an Australian by the way, but I can appreciate that Gallipoli was a military disaster without slagging off the ethnicities which participated. Peace

      +Cengizhan Bozbiyik,
While I get the point of what he is saying, and agree overall, I notice you singled out the Australians and New Zealanders. Got something against listing the other British led nationalities there?
      Like, the *British* themselves?
I'm guessing you were just being a little lazy there, to only list Australia and New Zealand soldiers. I'll give you benefit of the doubt I guess...
I agree though *lest we forget* ain't no time for hate or ignoring history.

A victoria total war would be like this, maxims, napoleonic lines, quick-firing martini-henry's or chassepots... Yay! (C'mon CA!) It is strange the cav did not break the british. In the war troops would often rout en masse when cavalry managed to charge successfully, since they were no longer being trained in anti-horse combat and the mere rumor of a cavalry breakthrough would send field commanders into panic and general disorder, as seen on rare occasions at the eastern front.

    Hear them whisper,
    Voices from the other side
    Hear them calling
Former foes now friends are resting side by side
They will never leave our hearts or fade away
    Live forever
They were far to young to die in such a way
    how many wasted lives
How many dreams did fade away
    Broken promises
    They won't be coming home
    Oh mothers wipe your tears
Your sons will rest a million years
    Found their peace at last
    As foe turned to friend
    And forgive
    And they knew they'd die
    Gallipoli
Left their letters in the sand
    Such waste of life
    Gallipoli
Dreams of freedom turned to dust
Hell is waiting where the ocean meets the sand
    Cliffs of burden
Where the soldiers rushed into a certain death
    At the shoreline
Blood of heroes stains the land
    Light a candle
One for each of them who fought and died in vain
    There is no enemy
    There is no victory
Only boys who lost their lives in the sand
    Young men were sacrificed
Their names are carved in stone and kept alive
And forever we will honour the memory of them
And they knew they would die
    Gallipoli
Left their letters in the sand
    Such waste of life
    Gallipoli
Dreams of freedom turned to dust
    how many wasted lives
How many dreams did fade away

Because that was the most interesting thing i've ever heard. Man, i really can't believe how interesting it is. But... there is only one problem, just one little, small, microscopic problem that you probably didn't think about. And that is, the fact that literally no body asked for you to say that. I searched the entirety of Europe, America, Asia and Oceania. But sadly, no one has asked.

@@eddie1683 As bad as the ottoman empire's political situation was, they were still warriors at heart.
it took multiple nations on multiple fronts AND the betrayal of their muslim comrades to take down the ottoman empire in their weakest state.

Here we have a prime example of the Australian education system at work. This guy thinks most troops were ANZAC when in reality they were the minority. Aussie and Kiwi soldiers made up 15% of all soldiers that participated in the campaign on the allied side. Even the French had more troops present. I bet he also thinks it was a victory.

Don;t get me wrong I'm not saying ANZAC day is bullshit, but the rhetoric that is spewed by certain figures that suggests aussies were the only ones there, they even changed it from an acronym with all capitals to just the A having the capital in some kind of attempt to exclude the Kiwis. Most young Australians also seem to have this idea that it was a victory when in fact it was a military disaster. thats the bullshit I'm referring to, nothing wrong with remembering the dead.
