Great to have you back and brilliant honest walk through thank you for not opening every b!0ody cupboard and deck shower door and stating the obvious I’ve still not had those numbers up but when I do 😉👍
Hi James. Happy New Year! Thank god somebody's banging on about shaft drive options for modest sized craft........ let's hope some manufacturers listen...... mmmm. Here in Australia we've got Riviera doing shaft drive (some big boats only) and Caribbean. Don't know about Maritimo. There's the lovely Nimbus coupes.... oh yes and Rodman...... but really, for those of us who don't necessarily want the big service bills of stern drives or worse I imagine, IPS there aren't many choices...... Cheers. S
Fantastic piece of kit, really like the Princess units. Nice to watch on a cold winter day from Ontario, Canada and hey, quit being such a Nancy about the cold, -1C is practically balmy in my neck of the woods 😁
The water was the same colour as your trousers, bit matchy matchy 😂. Agree on the dishwasher, I’m not running my generator for two hours just to clean the dishes
My first proper experience of Princess was a 55. A friend of mine drove it from Denmark to Gran Canaria with no problem at all so for sure it would be a great little boat for the Med. Great to see you, Happy New Year and looking forward to many more this year. I think it took quite a long time but since then, performance etc has got much better.
Just seen the report about your Dad at Andrewsfield last September. Pleased to see he and his passenger weren't injured. Must have been quite a shock for the whole family
"Oi James..... get on!!!" Brilliant video and thanks for bringing us this beautiful Princess. She still looks amazing despite her age 😍 and so much space for a 52 footer ( don't suppose she's called Tardis by any chance 😂😂) Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing your next video 👍 All the best Russ
A lovely boat from that prestigious brand "Princess Yachts ", I've been lucky enough to pilot several of this model over the past ten or so years. Another informative and honest tour from James Barke of Boats. Co. UK 😊
Great to see you again JB!! I have missed you. I was TH-cam-less for a few weeks. Now with a new iPad, it’s all good again and I can watch James entertain us on his beautiful boats. Yeah they’re nice socks but you need something flashier mate…like your personality! What size feet have you got?! I totally agree with you, the Princess52 is a special boat. Real quality. And yes…you do look like the kid from ‘Up’!! Wishing you a very Happy New Year from the Giant’s Causeway coast of Northern Ireland. 😄👍☘️🛥️
Have you ever seen one of these with a small settee/dining table across from the galley? Custom I’m sure anything is possible. Kind of like the small opposing seating area you’d find in a master stateroom? It seems it would be a much better use of space.
These videos are always entertaining.. Does anyone ever use the 'crew cabin' for crew on boats this size? I looked at a Princess 500 that had a little aft crew cabin but man, you would really have to not like your crew to put them down there. Handy storage though and I'm sure at the end on this 52 there is a little heads too. A nice boat though and well laid out. Profit margins are no doubt better on going bigger but a 50-52 of this type makes a lot of sense..
A brilliant walk through as usual! I have one general questions: why do you include depreciation as well as loan down payments as part of the costs? Wouldn't the straight 10 year mortage repayment cover all necessary depreciation over for the period?
bet you'll be glad when the dredging is finished and the pretty boats are back at the bottom of the ramp, thought you was lost walking up the outer arm 😂🤣
Very nice boat, for me it does indeed look like a perfect design. Surprised how similar it is to the Princess 49, but the third cabin has side by side bed instead of bunks, bonus (extra beam). The lounge area looks a bit bigger too. Looks like the original owner ticked all the boxes. I'm sure with some Setag treatment it can feel no inferior to a 49 or F50, it's very close as it is.
Yes. IPS and a few more knots it seems, I'm yet to own my own boat but maybe one day. I can tell from the video that the 52 has quality and class, a proper boat. Love the socks, not very PC with the cigars showing though, these days smoking is frowned upon :) @@Boatscouk
Having a nice skip through this one to see the highlights, notice your chapter labels do not match the video, though. Unless the forward VIP really does have engines in it...
Very nice but .. a tad ..not so exciting as as a FAIRLINE ..JUST MY Opinion but let's put it in the bag to look at ..possibly .. roll on Palma 😂👍🏴
The socks 🤣. They'd give old ladies an attack of the vapours. Cracking boat!
🤣🤣🤣The Up resemblance is uncanny🤣. Love the video👍

A very nice boat. Thanks for the entertaining video

So much better than my bad comments about the wind noise on your mike. 😊

Ah thanks Scott. 🙏
Yeah. I was just wondering when James would post a new video. Always entertaining, informative, funny, and unapologetic because they are honest.
Ah thanks Cliff 😊

You are right but we are not used to it 😂
Great video
Lovely vessel
Keep them coming please

That crew cabin looks kind of fun and cozy 🤷🏻♂ With a nice window too
Super cozy !

Yes he is pretty deadly in that - but he is also a lucky man. He needs to slow down at 81 😂
@Boatscouk I think those of us who live on the ground generally would agree with that sentiment 👍🏻

Good job the waters not frozen... :)
😂
Thanks for the engine tour, how ever fleeting.
Ah thanks Kevin 🙏
i think that this is a fantastic boat, of i had the money i would buy this tomorrow.
I love this boat, i would not change anything.
I have to agree 👍🏻

Yes crew cabins are used a lot in the Med and Asia 😀
@@Boatscouk Poor buggers... Steerage class is alive and well. "Jaaaack..Jaaaack... Get out of the crew cabin!!" 😁
Lovely boat James, now get a hot Bovril inside yourselves!
Good idea !
A brilliant walk through as usual! I have one general questions: why do you include depreciation as well as loan down payments as part of the costs? Wouldn't the straight 10 year mortage repayment cover all necessary depreciation over for the period?
Yes it would. We add depreciation for cash buyers 😀

Oops - soz - will fix
Limoge is an area, not a company
Thanks Paul 😍
Can you say why you're not a fan of ice makers? Are they just carp or did you have a difficult experience with one?😂
They always break down and the manufacturers say it’s not their fault 😂
Very nice but .. a tad ..not so exciting as as a FAIRLINE ..JUST MY Opinion but let's put it in the bag to look at ..possibly .. roll on Palma 😂👍🏴
But classy and well made though 😀
Yes but we'll be shopping for something like it soonish 😂👍🏴

You're not a great fan of a lot of stuff. 😂
True!
You aren't a great fan of intelligence either are you?
Nope 😂
