if you want to get the most power you can possible get out of that TRD exhaust you gotta get the TRD cold air intake because with them both combined you would have 200 horsepower give or take a couple because stock you got 179 - 180 horsepower. but without the TRD cold air intake or a K and N cold air your not going to get the maximum performance out of that exhaust
Why would a CAI magically unlock HP from a CBE? The TRD intake is little more than a normal closed airbox, it's not a CAI. These parts aren't giving you any power at all. The only thing these parts are good for is the dealers profit margins as they charge clueless teenagers exorbitant labor rates.
Sebastian Rosenberg For the price, you get a complete car. Cruise Control, Moonroof, 17inch alloy wheels, spacious back seats, legit sound system, and Toyota reliability. And it gets decent MPG. When you live on your own and not with your parents you think practicality first and racer boy second.
People who want practicality would get something else. Only boy racers drive TC; serious drivers don't consider this. Plus, TC's one of Toyota's weakest in terms of reliability.
I like the TC in general, but man Toyota really needs to get someone to tune that engine so it doesn't sound so much like a Camry. (Which the engine is out of btw) Yamaha tuned the Corolla a few years back for the Corolla XRS.... cough cough.
The pedals are not spaced well, the gas pedal is all the way in the back. I keep my toe on the break, twist the foot sideways, and use the heel to punch the gas pedal. But it's still very fun, especially double-clutching with heel-toe, shifting is smooth like butter.
tC, I think the interior of the Civic has features that remind me of a Prius... The tC is simple and clean, but it rides nice and can be modded to hell if you want. I have a monogram series and love it.
Theyre both good, but I gotta go with TC. More trunk room, bigger trunk opening, looks cooler/sportier, one of the best audio systems in a car, easily customizable, has that toyota reliability, more spacious back seats (unless you get the 4door civic), and automatic panoramic sunroof comes standard Its like a camaro but alil more spacious, alot more practical, and alot more reliable with a good audio system. Only downside is its not as fast and you dont get to see 50 of them a day
One issue with the motor I have is weak valve springs... Other then that love the car, would have liked to see it come with LSD. It deffently has people turning there heads. Should see my tc at importfest Vancouver for scion.
Any motor can fail if you mis shift and over rev it that high. Fact is there are thousands of Camrys and Rav4's with this engine they don't have this problem because they are all automatics that can't be mis shifted by morons. I hate when cars get a bad rep because of bad owners who abuse them.
because not everybody wants a very small RWD sports car? Some people actually want a practical car that still looks nice. The tC has massive cargo space and gets good gas mileage. It's a super practical car for just an every day driver.
For the price, you get a complete car. Cruise Control, Moonroof, 17inch alloy wheels, 6 speed transmission, spacious back seats, legit sound system, and Toyota reliability. And it gets decent MPG. You WON'T find a Nissan or a Honda for the same price with the same equipment.
For those looking for a functional/reliable car sure. But I say plain jane because the Scion TC does not suit me personally. Its got the equipment forsure....but its a boring car.
Ive driven a few of them now. And to me it just feels like its missing something....aggressive styling but really doesnt have the bite to back up its looks. That my friend is a girls car to me. Looks and functionality rather than performance. For some the TC would make a great car. But not I ;-).
u can burn a clutch if you don't do it correctly be careful because it's a bitch to do a clutch on a front wheel drive car it's probably almost 1,000$ for labor alone
I thought about getting the 1rst gen, I'm not feeling the 2nd gen looks much cuz of the back, looks kinda like the Japanese version of the Dodge Avenger....which I find hideous. I hope the 3rd gen is a start from scratch.
+marcus Alan Driving both, the 1st gen looks better and feels better imo. I dont like the 6 speed auto, it was better on gas, but the 4 speed feels much faster to shift.
Tc's are just like Honda Civic's you have to do a bunch of shit to them in Order for them to be fast against competition both of them are not made for racing their daily driver reliable commute cars that will get you where you need to go if you want to throw money into it why not get a car that's already ready to race like a Mitsubishi Evo or a Subaru STI problem solved!!

Actually it has 18 inch wheels.
I like the TC in general, but man Toyota really needs to get someone to tune that engine so it doesn't sound so much like a Camry. (Which the engine is out of btw) Yamaha tuned the Corolla a few years back for the Corolla XRS.... cough cough.
Can you heel toe shift in the tC? I've heard the pedals aren't spaced well for it.
They really aren’t spaced well, it makes it difficult, 2016 tC owner here
The pedals are not spaced well, the gas pedal is all the way in the back. I keep my toe on the break, twist the foot sideways, and use the heel to punch the gas pedal. But it's still very fun, especially double-clutching with heel-toe, shifting is smooth like butter.
How come every tc but mine does the cute beep beep as it’s unlocked? 🥺
Honda Civic SI 2014 or Scion TC 2014? I cAnnot decide which car to get.
tC, I think the interior of the Civic has features that remind me of a Prius...
The tC is simple and clean, but it rides nice and can be modded to hell if you want. I have a monogram series and love it.
Theyre both good, but I gotta go with TC.
More trunk room, bigger trunk opening, looks cooler/sportier, one of the best audio systems in a car, easily customizable, has that toyota reliability, more spacious back seats (unless you get the 4door civic), and automatic panoramic sunroof comes standard
Its like a camaro but alil more spacious, alot more practical, and alot more reliable with a good audio system. Only downside is its not as fast and you dont get to see 50 of them a day
@@rickytrevino8281 but it’s not really meant to be fast.
@@jonlosito2004 Didn't say it was. Though they did design it around looking fast
What do you use to record

er
I was thinking the same thing with the headphones
What spoiler is on this car?
One issue with the motor I have is weak valve springs... Other then that love the car, would have liked to see it come with LSD. It deffently has people turning there heads. Should see my tc at importfest Vancouver for scion.
How do you know it has weak valve springs? Did you mis shift or something and blow it up?
The rockers can fall out easily under hard throttle high rpm and misshifting causing over rev.
Any motor can fail if you mis shift and over rev it that high. Fact is there are thousands of Camrys and Rav4's with this engine they don't have this problem because they are all automatics that can't be mis shifted by morons. I hate when cars get a bad rep because of bad owners who abuse them.
So the drifter tc where morons when they fixed this issue. Kay.
That's not a stock car....not even close
how loud is the cabin with the stock exhaust
It's not too loud but you can definitely hear the exhaust
Its audible driving on the highway, but if you turn on the radio and turn it up it isnt
lol nice goggles bro
why does this thing even exist now that the FR-S is out?
because not everybody wants a very small RWD sports car? Some people actually want a practical car that still looks nice. The tC has massive cargo space and gets good gas mileage. It's a super practical car for just an every day driver.
Atomic Rooster late response but I feel like it's a good starting car for new drivers, and cheaper
Atomic Rooster because a brand cant survive off of one model
Is it a 5 or 6 speed manual?
6 speed manual
2007 Ls460
?
I have a 2006 scion tc... No offense but the 2nd Gen is boring compared to the newer models. By that I mean the interior is alright
this could be a really cool car but its just missing something special about it
Its a plain jane car forsure...
Quincy Hall How can you call it a boring car when it comes complete with everything?
Ive driven a few of them now. And to me it just feels like its missing something....aggressive styling but really doesnt have the bite to back up its looks. That my friend is a girls car to me. Looks and functionality rather than performance. For some the TC would make a great car. But not I ;-).
I have this car but I only have one car which is this I don't spend a lot of money though
from 2:18 - 2:28, there are 2 camouflaged cars. can anyone guess what they might be?
Where?
@@JecuskyGarrett The oncoming cars from 2:25-2:27. The first car covers the front bumper only. The second car was almost completely covered in wrap.
@@0wenage I know, I was making a camouflage joke.
Hyundai Sonata?
u can burn a clutch if you don't do it correctly be careful because it's a bitch to do a clutch on a front wheel drive car it's probably almost 1,000$ for labor alone
I thought about getting the 1rst gen, I'm not feeling the 2nd gen looks much cuz of the back, looks kinda like the Japanese version of the Dodge Avenger....which I find hideous.
I hope the 3rd gen is a start from scratch.
Yeah definitely with you on that 1G looks waaay better.
+marcus Alan Driving both, the 1st gen looks better and feels better imo. I dont like the 6 speed auto, it was better on gas, but the 4 speed feels much faster to shift.
I got a 1st gen 😁
So the new TC has rev match or are you heal-toe shifting?
rev match
I test drove one myself. No rev match on Manual but auto does.
I have this car minus the trd mods. I should of bought something else.
You don't like the tc at all??
i have the 2013 scion tc with all trd mods, every one, intake, springs, wing, exhaust and a couple more and i love it. best daily ever@@jrmenzies9060
yeah...and its still a Scion TC...
Looks and sounds like you're driving a Tupperware container...
I love his videos but his driving is too rough, even for a test drive. Treats a car like a machine with no soul :(
Nah.. I think it’s the roads itself. They need a change.
I think tC's are girl cars lol.
Agreed.....lol
What makes you say that?
I honestly see more girls driving Camaros and Mustangs than TC's
Mustangs are fairy cars, camaros are alright. I haven't really been a muscle car guy though, and I absolutly despise ford.
Absolutely **
Dislike bc it’s a Manual
i have a 2013 scion tc with all trd mods and its best with a manual trust me
Id take the hyundai Genesis coupe and FRS over this girl TC...
Those are 2 different categories bud lol. I'd take an Evo over a girly little Genesis or FRS. :)
i reminded my parents to bury me in the backyard the day i wasted money on a TC. all TC owners drive around like they are in a bugatti, such a 13 year old annoying car
chuck Norris
what you said literally makes zero sense Chuck Norris rofl. "You never owned a TC" ...exactly...the fuck? LOL why would i own a TC then bash the TC
I drive a Scion tC for my DD and no have complaints on it.
For the price, you get a complete car. Cruise Control, Moonroof, 17inch alloy wheels, spacious back seats, legit sound system, and Toyota reliability. And it gets decent MPG.
What are your complaints about the car? It's too slow? Grow the fuck up, kid.
NextSelection
no my complaints is that it is cheap, ugly, and every 15 year old has one that their parents buy them and think they are in a bugatti because it has 2 doors. no i don't even care about speed especially in a DD
Braden Rikli Don't you think you sound like a little bitch?
NextSelection
gotta love that response, typical sore loser who gets chat crafted and literally has nothing else to say.
Scion sucks
you better not have a Honda.....
+MR. Yuck Why shouldn't I get a Honda?
You better not have a Chevy Malibu
@@jonlosito2004 I don't
Then wtf you have?
