There's no arguing with what other people love best. :) (Though I had a sudden thought that maybe you could use yer developing metal-shaping skills to make yourself a targa or t-tops for dat RT10. :) )
When I think of Viper I think of the RT 10, besides didn't Carol Shelby have input into that car before he went back to ford? But go for the GT90 build I would love to actually see one
Of course you do. You've taken over the design by modification but you know LESS than the professionals. Cobra is a Wheelspinning design. So is the viper. It's much better at wheel spinning. But you killed the wheel spinning cause you put on bigger wheels. That gives you higher speed performance which makes the bigger front mounted engine useless. News flash for casey! The wheel spinning gives cornering ability. You killed the cornering improvements for straight line benefits. BUT the viper has 2 extra gears for straight line performance. You LOST all of the reason to have the biggest front mounted engine of all time. Wheel spinning around corners. The engine and the wide tires push the car straight off the road when cornering, but the extra wheel spinning makes the car have too much steering power, which corrects all the understeer. Return the original wheels and tires and experience wheel spinning around corners again. It's an extreme cobra, the car that the driver is incontrol of.
Casey is basically the Viper of humans. He's loud, obnoctious, old school, but all of these just give to his personality. (I might need to take a break time to time from watching his videos, but when I come back, it's always a great one.)
i wanna hear that brown note so bad. happy anniversary. never have i heard a person talk so rapidly and still be able to follow what they are talking about.
A first gen RT/10 is the ONLY car I would sell or trade my 1966 Charger for. It’s a straight up dream for me which the walls of my garage can show. Between models, advertisements, posters, and every “Viper” magazine since volume one I’ve been doing everything I can to collect anything Viper related.
There were at least one concept done in mid engine configuration. I really hope that's exactly what Casey will bring to file as he mentioned him having some form of molds.
Dodge made their own problems with how the company is structured. It's got nothing to do with the product. The product faults come from the philosophy. In theory the product should sell but it doesn't. People keep rejecting the cheap nocare product cause their knowledge level is way too low.
I’m 18 and just bought my first manual. You have taught me more about driving stick and just being a better driver in general, more than anyone in my life. Not to mention your content is super entertaining/interesting👍
Thanks for the Viper love, too young to afford an RT/10 right now, but lucky enough to be surrounded by them through my family and the clubs. 100% my dream car. These cars need more owners like you, too many garage queens!
I absolutely love the 3-spoke wheels, I've always thought the style fit the car perfectly. When I'm able to buy my RT/10 I want to have the wheels reproduced 2" bigger just to fill the wheel well more and make it look more modern, but otherwise the same style.
Thought I loved a gts more.. And was going to buy one.. But after seeing the rt10 Gen 1s and realizing the quirks and how that added to the cool factor.. I settled on a 94 rt10.. Love it.. I'll get a gts stable mate someday but I love the rt10.. The wind can be noisy but it's not bad... Can easily go 150mph and still grin ear to ear
Finally someone who understands the Viper! My 2k RT/10 is getting ready to crack 120k miles. It has been extremely reliable even though I beat on it for the first 60000 miles. A top less Viper takes the experience to a whole new level. Great video. Look forward to more.
Hey Casey, just wanted to thank you for all the videos you put out. lots of them are not only entertaining but very informative ! Having built my first real "performance" car ( more like able to perform above standard road applications ) a ton of your manual videos and driving tips have helped tremendously towards my driving etiquette ! Hope you have fun with both of your vipers and that you have a good one !
The RT10 prototype was the pace car the one year I got to see The 500 in person. Seeing one always takes me back to that period in my life. I was such a clueless 20-something.
That Gen 1 is very underrated in the Viper community. Is the GTS nicer looking? Ya, maybe a little at the rear but otherwise the same...but it's not like the RT had a bad rear end. It's just so raw and pure, which many prefer. Side pipes, steering wheel, open top. I would add a GTS to the garage though.
Thank you for being too cool for the car scene and telling it how it really is. It's so refreshing to see real enthusiasts giving opinions and not to get clicks. Happy anniversary big guy.
Hey man, thank you for the great video! I don’t see many videos on Vipers these days so I peeked up when I saw yours. I own a Gen 3 and it is SO difficult finding tires and tons. Could you please post a Linc on where I can find the same ones you have? Tyvm. Also, could you please list the mods you described and how you vented the side pipes to cool it off better. Please keep the Viper mystique going brother! 💪😁 Tony
Thanks to you, once my 944 build is done the GTS is my next build. A car I've always wanted, but now that I can build cars myself, can one day find and rebuild.
Hi Casey my GTS is 2000 and i have been trying to convince someone for the past 3 years who has 1994 RT10 neglected for the more than 5 years and i also love riding motorcycles. Love your videos
you have the perfect set of cars now :) what i belive is no car is really dangerous if you learn to use it properly and get use to the power and handling. what i was always told: break in a straight line and do it smoothly and also get on the power smoothly coming out of a trun or corner.
My uncle would occasionally lug his rt10 and it would pop and burble, almost as if it was tuned for a turbo. It gave me the good feels. And before you start hating: a, he has the money to do what he wants, b, has probably rebuilt more cars than you, c, didn't hurt the engine one bit. He didn't floor it, he just gave it a little throttle. And a big, 8L v10 just oozes smooth torque off of idle. It's like driving a truck. You don't need to touch the accelerator when starting out; the engine has enough torque that you can just about dump the clutch and not stall.
Happy anniversary to you and Taylor. I'm just now catching up on watching after a tornado near miss Thursday followed by 29 hours without power. Your comments about getting pre-owned vehicles back gives me hope for maybe my dream of finding and buying back my old 2001 Cobra coming true someday. That was my plan B last year if the RX-8 deal had fallen through but it didn't so having that Ford modular 4 cam sound in my life drifts further into the past.
You explained my theory perfectly. That is the exact reason I purchased a gen 2 RT10. Little bit of both worlds. Want top and windows down. Let it rip. Want date night and little less Red Bull as you say. Hard top roof on. Windows up. And... there a little less $$$$. Win win! Love the channel loved the 944 too. Keep up the good work.
I had a replica 92 red r/10 with red on grey metal 1/18 scale car as a kid in the 90s, I also had need for speed 1 on 3do in 1996, and It had a blue rt/10 first gen, Iv had fond memories of the viper as a kid, I use to see them every now and then, now its getting rather rare to see one on the road
as a kid i had the obligatory testarossa and countach on my walls, a formula 1 sticker album... fast forward to the 90s- i saw a model of one in a shop window, never forget it, with the two pods in the roof that looked like the head of a snake....it was like seeing what the etype jag would look like if they made it today, still is... i never wanted to own a ferrari ever again, and lamborghinis just became daft avant garde artpieces in comparison... To this day its still my dream car...the fact it was so cheap too...no fancy pretences, just the fastest car they could make... Back when video games were hip and fashionable and i still played them...it would beat all comers in gran turismo, you just spanked your opponent everytime if you could keep it on the edge.... theres one licence level where i needed the demo run....and it was the viper....i spent about a week, every night , trying to copy this one corner where the demo would be faster than me to get the gold licence... Where you have to just power slide/not powerslide the thing to get it round this fall away left hander....too much and you ended up with bronze, too little and silver was all you are getting.... i managed it in the end ... never driven a real one though.
Wow! Pure driving machines, so oldschool that I can love them! Actually nearly all of my favourite vehicles are more than 40 years old. Who needs airbags and electronic bullshit! When I was young, I loved things like the Ferrari 275 GTB, Jaguar E types, C2 and C3 Corvettes, Maserati Ghibli, bad Pontiacs, Muscle cars in general, the Iso Grifo and the list goes on. All things pre 72! What I love about US cars, they are tough as a brewery horse, reliable, strong and solid, the Italian stuff is more like a beautiful, fast and kind of delicate racing horse. The Viper was probably the best sports car made in America since the mid Seventies
okay a really cool video on the viper bud . Would like to have one some day . Thank you for the compairession oh and happy anniversary bud remember happy wife happy life
Now Pirelli Zeros are made for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 with 17 inch rims😉... I just received my Pirelli Zeros and now Michelin Pilot will be ready in April for purchase. But we do now have two manufacturers foe matching front and rear tires.
Nice pair of Vipers. Please keep the viper content going. Not enough intelligent videos out there. I own Gen 2/5 GTS's and Supra of which your wing is modeled after. Gen 2 looks better w/o out the wing but dig the period correct modifications too. Looking forward to the v10 swap build
Casey if you would be cool if you could track down one of the Pearl white convertible 1996 Viper GTS’s they’re among the rarest besides the Two-Tone Silver 1996 GTS Coupe.
Hey bro, I need some buying advice. I can buy a local Viper for $36,500 with 74k, a FL car for $42,000 with 38k miles, or a WI car for $48,000 with 12k miles. All are gen 1s. Any thoughts?
Found you via Peteolicious. Amazing work. Your vision and passion are inspiring. Glad you're giving young people a chance to flex those brain muscles and live out a few dreams along the way.
1 day i buy a viper 1st or 2nd gen... i want a daily. But i have to have convertible. I know you can get after market bubble tops i think that be great.
the rt10 is my second fav car of all time, i litterly found it for a website for only 38k, which is honestly insane for a car this awsome, its a beauty of its time, and still is today
By any chance is the jackwagon jabberwocky going to be your take on the Dodge Tomahawk? I always thought they were an awsome looking completely impractical machine.
It’s crazy that the ‘93 viper was the inspiration for the GTA III Banshee, then the later variants are reminiscent to the ‘96 Viper GTS and 2005 Viper RT10.
I had thought that the GTS was a whole different "generation" of the viper but seeing these two side by side they are literally identical exterior panels. Huh. I guess they just people just called it a gen II when the coupe came out? Kinda how the gen III and IV are nearly identical with a few styling tweaks and a slight power bump.
I had totally forgotten about this show! I had only seen a few episodes as a kid but loved it and I hope to own my own GTS one day. The show was like a 90s version of Knight Rider!
Sounds to me like the Jabberwock Jackwagon is going to be a Magnum with a Viper Engine. Magnums had a simular chasses and I've often wondered why they where never offered with the V-10 the largest engine offered was the 6.1L hemi in the SRT-8. They dropped the V-10 in a truck but never a car outside of the Viper...So a Magnum would handle the torque and would be a hell of a grocery hauler!
The panel gap between the front bumper and the hood on the GTS is just staring at me... Then you mentioned you got into an accident... Then it made sense
Being VIN 30 would make it the 30th Viper made in MY1993 I work at Chrysler. The 8th to the last digit designates model year, so there are probably like 30 VIN 0030 vipers lol
And here I thought my evo was the only thing an automaker would have traded cruise control for the weight savings 🤣 Glad to see one of my other favorite cars had the same mindset behind it
Hey Casey, I found a few damaged gen 1 Vipers at the Copart auction cheap. Let me know if youre interested in a new project car. Ill fly out, work for free for a month, then buy it and drive it back to California.
Casey, It has been a while. I have been riding my bike and helping fix broken stuff around Apollo beach. I just get my friend's 2014 Challenger. It was stolen and trashed. it needs just about everything. I talked him into putting the 8.0, 8.4, and or 9.0 and leaving the outside nasty. We plan to call it the Hell hound. rough, ugly, strong, loud, and scary. Borla Attacks, No cats Powerglide. My friend is disabled, so make it easy.
The GTS is in my eyes the sexiest Viper ever made.
I had a toy car of a blue with white racing stripes gts and it's been one of my dream cars
The RT10 is even sexier
I bought the rt/10. I think the open top is the best part!
Yeah close to my heart. I also like the 2000s SRT-10 stuff
"Ah I need a break, lets go drive a motorcycle" Never change Casey
I hate to say it, but I think I like driving my RT10 more than the GTS!
The three spoke is lovely and if you get the cap who cares!? Because VIPER . Edit): happy anniversary !
Its like the 944s, when you remove the roof panel, its a totally different car
Of course you do.
You've taken over the design by modification but you know LESS than the professionals.
Cobra is a Wheelspinning design. So is the viper. It's much better at wheel spinning. But you killed the wheel spinning cause you put on bigger wheels.

i wanna hear that brown note so bad. happy anniversary. never have i heard a person talk so rapidly and still be able to follow what they are talking about.
It's all in the mind. It's what breeds love or hat between you and the car.
People will shit on a Viper for it's windows and roof then get in their Wrangler that never leaves the tarmac.
The only people who shit on vipers are people who don't have one.
Great video! As a gen 2 RT/10 owner it was good to see a video from someone who gets it. Vipers have been ignored for to long.
I'm starting to suspect the Jabberwock Jackwagon is that mid-engined Viper that never got to happen... could it really be... ???
Also guessed it’s a mid-engined R/T. And if so? I want one.
There were at least one concept done in mid engine configuration. I really hope that's exactly what Casey will bring to file as he mentioned him having some form of molds.
i was thinking it might be a 2021 concept viper but if they actually made a mid engine concept that might be what he’s making.
Lee Iacocca: “Lead, follow, or get out of the way!”
Loving the content, Casey, can't wait to see the new Jabberwocky Jackwagon!
Became a fan of the Viper through the TV show, so my heart will always beat for the one that started it all and saved Dodge.
Dodge made their own problems with how the company is structured. It's got nothing to do with the product.
The product faults come from the philosophy.
In theory the product should sell but it doesn't. People keep rejecting the cheap nocare product cause their knowledge level is way too low.
They can't just Get In It and drive it, cause they don't know how to drive it cause they keep using ego to judge it.
I drive mine multiple times a week, i’ve put 2500 miles on it in 5 months
I have always wanted a first gen Viper. I bought one back in december and I don't foresee myself ever getting tired of it.
Casey, I really enjoy that you're a Viper fanatic. Keep Rockin' the V10!
I absolutely love the 3-spoke wheels, I've always thought the style fit the car perfectly. When I'm able to buy my RT/10 I want to have the wheels reproduced 2" bigger just to fill the wheel well more and make it look more modern, but otherwise the same style.

Great video. Look forward to more.
This is the only guy on TH-cam I can actually watch and pay attention with extreme interest even if he is just standing and talking. Thanks Casey!
Hey Casey, just wanted to thank you for all the videos you put out. lots of them are not only entertaining but very informative ! Happy anniversary to you and your Wife Casey :) those 3 spoke wheels look amazing, Keep up the good work
My two dream cars are a first gen rt/10 and 5th gen GTS, I can’t wait to get them, great video man!
There's something special about the timeless beauty of the gen 2/5 coupes... I will never sell my B&W 96 UGR TT GTS!
Old Vipers look fantastic no matter what angle. What a beautiful car. Eye candy.
Those rt10 wheels are some of the most 90s things I've seen in a long time.
That Gen 1 is very underrated in the Viper community. Is the GTS nicer looking? Ya, maybe a little at the rear but otherwise the same...but it's not like the RT had a bad rear end. Hey Casey, I just found a 94 Viper for sale in Chillicothe Ohio. You might want to check it out, its only 38k with 30k miles.
Great video! those r 2 of the most beautiful cars ever made. I hope to get an early 90's (no newer than 95) rt10 too one day!
Just picked up a 2000 GTS, waiting for it to be delivered. Absolute dream come true!
Happy Anniversary and congratulations on picking up the original Viper 🤘🏻 🇺🇸
you have the perfect set of cars now :) what i belive is no car is really dangerous if you learn to use it properly and get use to the power and handling.
what i was always told: break in a straight line and do it smoothly and also get on the power smoothly coming out of a trun or corner.
Happy anniversary bro and thanks for showcasing two versions of a legendary sports car.
Gonna' go online and see if I can find one of them there "Brown-note" exhaust systems, lol
So I guess an SRII RT/10 might be the best of both worlds. Since they had a window and hard top.
I am gonna guess that the project is the mid engine viper that never was but perhaps with big aero and tunnels
These 2 cars are legends and two of the best driving experiences on the planet.
Good quality videos Casey. Classy and fun to watch! love the dirty pants. shows youre a real car guy! keep em coming!
My Sport Pad flew off Last Summer doing 115 MPH on RT/10
Happy Anniversary!
I had a replica 92 red r/10 with red on grey metal 1/18 scale car as a kid in the 90s, I also had need for speed 1 on 3do in 1996, and It had a blue rt/10 first gen, Iv had fond memories of the viper as a kid, I use to see them every now and then, now its getting rather rare to see one on the road

i never wanted to own a ferrari ever again, and lamborghinis just became daft avant garde artpieces in comparison...
Where you have to just power slide/not powerslide the thing to get it round this fall away left hander....too much and you ended up with bronze, too little and silver was all you are getting....
i managed it in the end ...

oh man this is just what i needed this friday afternoon
Why is there a slit between the hood and bumper on the side of GTS?
You building a grand wagoneer “track hawk “ powered by a viper motor?
okay a really cool video on the viper bud . Would like to have one some day . Thank you for the compairession oh and happy anniversary bud remember happy wife happy life
I’ve had my 96 GTS for about a year and it’s been a great experience so far. Definitely lived up to my childhood dreams.
That year viper vs c6 z06 what do you like better
Your hangar is a terrific backdrop for those scenes!
Living the dream😂
What kind of exhaust do you have on your RT/10 ? Our has some non-stock exhaust and it drones so much while driving normally.
Mine has cruse control, the GTS doesn't?
I miss my Gen 2 RT i actually enjoyed it more than my current Gen 4.
Interesting, would love to know why. Way more power in gen 4, but assuming it's missing the raw driving experience and looks?
I like the three spoke wheels..in my mind they resmble a viper about to strike.
Casey if you would be cool if you could track down one of the Pearl white convertible 1996 Viper GTS’s they’re among the rarest besides the Two-Tone Silver 1996 GTS Coupe.
is it the mid engined viper which then was the ford gt
Casey, would you consider putting side pipes on the GTS?
Hey bro, I need some buying advice. I can buy a local Viper for $36,500 with 74k, a FL car for $42,000 with 38k miles, or a WI car for $48,000 with 12k miles. All are gen 1s. Any thoughts?
Hey bro, do you use Mobil 1 oil in your Vipers? Here in Huntington Beach temps run from 50 to 90 so would you recommend a different weight of oil?
Found you via Peteolicious.
Amazing work. Your vision and passion are inspiring. Glad you're giving young people a chance to flex those brain muscles and live out a few dreams along the way.
1 day i buy a viper 1st or 2nd gen... i want a daily. But i have to have convertible. I know you can get after market bubble tops i think that be great.
Thank you for mentioning the Cobra ... Everyone else NEVER mentions the ORIGINAL inspiration for the design ... SHELBY ...
horses bark? I want a barking horse
the rt10 is my second fav car of all time, i litterly found it for a website for only 38k, which is honestly insane for a car this awsome, its a beauty of its time, and still is today
Casey, Viper engine in a 944 Shooting Brake?
How many other cars do you know that got their own TV show? I loved the transformed Viper they had. Just like the super pursuit mode in K.I.T.T.
Casey you have been making me want a viper so much
I just want to see a c4 vette vs. A viper. Can't find it. Guess I'll have to buy one and own both my dream cars
By any chance is the jackwagon jabberwocky going to be your take on the Dodge Tomahawk? I always thought they were an awsome looking completely impractical machine.
Casey, you can do Michelin tires on back but go generic on the front and keep your tire bill to around $1500. Thats not too bad
Do you have any plans in the future to build the silver Viper Defender (the viper that used in the tv show)?
Always loved this car-loved when it had the exhaust pipes down the side.
Thank you for the video 🇺🇸🇺🇸
until you forgot it did and burned your leg....
@@deadprivacy It’s worth it.
Will there be a street legal viper Nascar?
It’s crazy that the ‘93 viper was the inspiration for the GTA III Banshee, then the later variants are reminiscent to the ‘96 Viper GTS and 2005 Viper RT10.
I am about to get a 1 owner 2000 RT/10
Is he going to build the mid engine Doge viper
That's the only thing I could think of too. Fingers crossed
My love for the Viper came from the show "Viper" 😂😂
BTW, how much are those watches?
The panel gap between the front bumper and the hood on the GTS is just staring at me... Then you mentioned you got into an accident... Then it made sense
So I guess my guess of RCR SL-C was wrong for the Jackwagon?
Yup, I got something much nastier waiting
Being VIN 30 would make it the 30th Viper made in MY1993 I work at Chrysler. The 8th to the last digit designates model year, so there are probably like 30 VIN 0030 vipers lol
The sudden shortage of fire engines explained.
And here I thought my evo was the only thing an automaker would have traded cruise control for the weight savings 🤣
Glad to see one of my other favorite cars had the same mindset behind it
Hey Casey, I found a few damaged gen 1 Vipers at the Copart auction cheap. Let me know if youre interested in a new project car. Ill fly out, work for free for a month, then buy it and drive it back to California.
Holy crap. Mid-Engined Viper?!??
yup
Casey, It has been a while. I have been riding my bike and helping fix broken stuff around Apollo beach. I just get my friend's 2014 Challenger. It was stolen and trashed. it needs just about everything. I talked him into putting the 8.0, 8.4, and or 9.0 and leaving the outside nasty. We plan to call it the Hell hound. rough, ugly, strong, loud, and scary. Borla Attacks, No cats Powerglide. My friend is disabled, so make it easy.
"Danger Noodles" lol. I personally prefer the term "Nope Ropes."
