Thank you so much for making available the entire film. It is very informative and I learned a lot. The only (minor) complaint I have is that many clips are about one semitone sharper.

Excellent documentary! I'd love to see more of the rehearsal sequence with Kempe at 20'15". Does it exist?

These money-bound administrators/businessmen were SO fortunate to have had Abbado for those years. This documentary should have celebrated HIM and the great performers he attracted, not the BUSINESS/MONEY-MAKING side.

23:14 XD that is certainly one very energic timpanist XD i think it's quite rare to see timpanists like that these days. Anyone knows his name?

Filipus Wisnumurti Dieter Dyk. He was principal timpanist in the Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich in the 70s - 90s. He was an engaged musician and excellent colleague.

I agree entirely. Why no subtitles for the German and Italian contributions ?

A lot of interesting archival material, including Toscanini, Karajan and Furtwangler - but with a monotonous commentary, and too many interviews about objectives by uninteresting executives.

This documentary is so full of Swiss-German chauvinism. It's just about Swiss national identity (and money), as well Karajans egocentrism. Unbearable! Poor Toscanini and Abbado, they didn't deserve it!!
