When the truck starts moving, "This young man is the sh-t! Oh my goodness! This young man got something going on!" High praise indeed!
They are gonna tell this story their whole lives I guarantee that!
highlight of the video I swear
I am yet again, left speechless! Not one off-road recovery channel can accomplish a 80,000lbs dump truck recovery with a single man crew, and a single rig, modified jeep gladiator.
Look at some of the insane equipment, and massive crew HeavyD uses it's just embarrassing when your crushing these recoveries single handly and driving your rig to the site, not trailering it in. Honestly speechless.
Its a tandem dump. Max weight would be 38000 lbs in canada. In the US its either 34 or 36000 lbs
Because it wasn’t 80,000lbs 😂..
that's because those other channels are clown shows. they do it for the views, likes, ads, free stuff and name dropping.
Big difference from Canada to Florida plus legal weight vs his actual weight can also be different
@@matt.mckinzie that truck is 50,000lbs at most. More than likely not over 40,000lbs
So there was a dozer on site and they called for off road recovery…
dozer and excavator as well.
Yeah sounds like these ppl haven’t a clue. It’s a problem I’ve encountered before. Wrap a chain around the chassis next to the front drive axle and at an angle from the truck going forward with either the dozer or excavator which ever is bigger and pull the weight over and forward as you go so it can’t roll over. These blokes are just playing.
I suppose it came a few hours late
And a track hoe 😂😂😂😂😂😂
My last job we always got our crane trucks stuck. But if there was a dozer or a excavator on site. I would say no problem, let's get the job done and then pull me out.
WOW! Its amazing what knowledge, patience, skill, and experience can accomplish!! Great job!
He is a master with snatch blocks.
I especially appreciate the honesty and humility about seeing that truck start to tip further. Matt took the time to make sure the rig didn't tip.
This man knows what he’s doing great job
👇Matt understands physics better than the rest of the country
Dozers are physics. Start with a dozer.
the dozer was a safety net.
He's working SMARTER not HARDER. NICE JOB😊😊
@@lloydmiller5275the dozer needs to level the work road a lot better.
@@madmaximilian5783 dump truck driver needs to stay on the prepared road and not the ditch 🤣
"this young man IS the shit" Got it going on!😂 I'm so glad I found your channel! I'm always so impressed with your recoveries! Great camera work & great content! Thanks for bringing us all along
That truck was fighting to stay on the down side of the road for sure, I've never seen 1 that deep and such an angle.
You got her out, Great job Matt!
I wish I could hear what’s in those guys minds when you roll up in that jeep to pull out loaded semi’s and dump trucks! 😂😂
Went from “ain’t no way to “that young man is the shit” real quick 🙂
I love how you figure out the physics of each job
Can we say that the real heroes were those trees holding on for dear life! Just kidding awesome work!
Matt, I watched a number of these heavy truck recoveries on your channel and success seems to be determined by an understanding of rigging and multiplying the wenching capability. I'm surprised that other towing companies failed to use this basic engineering principle and failed where you succeeded. Great for your business not so good for theirs.
Good work. Intelligent use of pulleys and no dramatics.
most impressive yet. that snatch block leverage is not just pulling strength, but the footprint is also spread out.. living and learning by watching.
Easy. Slowly. Gently. Job done Matt 👌Pay the man.
the power of rigging, snatch blocks and the knowledge of how that all works amazes me. Nice Job!
Young man , you know your stuff. Patience, knowledge, persistence. You are worth every penny you charge. Kudos to you.
The pucker factor was pretty high on this one! I needed a drink after just watching!
This channel and its owner did a stellar job! LUCKILY there were plenty of trees to hook the snatchblocks to. Classic example of one man’s ingenuity! With an accomplished recovery like this l have to subscribe to his channel!
Great job. That’s one happy driver.
Nice job.👍 That is what I do for a living. I can tell you from experience that is a scary situation to be in.
Lol,he wasn’t even near 78,000lbs
1. If it was,it would’ve went over
2. I live in Jacksonville, I run out of that same pit
Nice recovery
Right 78K on a twin screw in FL. legal tri axle 72.5K
Nobody has ever overloaded a dump truck…sure
Great Job, I retired from Chrysler Jeep, they sure would be proud to see that Gladiator do that.
Hi Matt, that was really fantastic, the men watching were very SURPRISED when the dump-truck started moving, they just didn’t expect you to move it, let alone get it out.
Love watching your videos.
You are the best technical recovery channel out there. Well done sir. 👍👍👍🤝🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great job with that one. Super heavy. And super stuck.
Great job. Must make you feel good when 2 previous recovery companies gave up and you finished the job with no damage!
Wow, you are a very smart man and a pleasure to watch. I don’t mean to be rude to others similar to you but you could teach them many things. Great work!
This was wonderful to watch. I need to learn this snatching block method of pulling. 😅
Wow quite impressive. Next time that guy might want to call for an 85 ton rotator.
He certainly knows his stuff when it comes to getting it out. Wasn't an easy task to pull off. Quite a very tricky and delicate job. Well done guys!👍😁Great video thanks for sharing.
Amazing recovery!
Love your videos how you explain you winching procedures and reasons why. You should put more videos up and in some cases longer times . They are really good to watch thank you for your time making them and look forward to the next one soon 👍 Thank you.
Impressive work, as usual.
Block and tackle, along with proper usage of snatch blocks. Smart
That path through the trees needs some serious reworking. Very good video.
You sure made that look easy!! Nicely done!!
Bro!!!! I was sitting on the edge of my seat. That was an amazing recovery. I’m glad the truck did not flip. 😮
"Dis young man is da shit!, dis young man got it goin' on!" Yep, couldn't agree more!
We usually cut out the customers the best we can, but we had to add his reaction in this one. It was too good not to share
Work smarter, not harder !! You can accomplish amazing thing if you understand leverage !! Great job !!
Really cool! Thank you for the video. Might be using this for physics classes in high school, haha. Also, @offroadrecoveryFL do you have any videos on how you inspect/take care of your recovery equipment?
Check out Sumter wreakers recovery of a roll off can truck in the mud. Thats the mats you need for this. Thank he called the aircraft landing mats. Thank it was a year or two ago that he posted it.
We been looking at mats for awhile
They are called ground protection mats
Anywhere from $300/piece to $5,000/piece
Depending on style and size you get
The big ones float on water and hook together and you can drive like 200,000lbs across them
Landing mats are a WWII relic and were exactly that, pieces of steel you could hinge together to make a runway. There are still thousands of them laying around. They're big, heavy and about indestructible. The first two are the disqualifier.
you need to get some 1' thick plywood and rip it into 2f wide strips toss it in the back of the jeep they store flat would of made cake work of this job by getting the tires up out of the dirt. its a trick I use to get lulls carrying heavier loads than that through mud
👇Never underestimate the power that little Jeep
Phenomenal job, Matt! You definitely impressed the driver (as well as the rest of us). The mighty Gladiator comes through again!
The BEST RECOVERY I have seen in a LONG TIME.👍
Very impressive. Your dam good at what u do
Another excellent recovery video
You definitely know what to do and the right stuff have on hand
I’m just completely amazed at the knowledge you have for this type of work. Always great videos. Thanks
I can see this being the next show on the weather channel. I would watch it.
With enough snatch blocks you could pull the earth! Well done!
Awesome job using the magic of physics. I would have used the dozer with a push assist from the start of your winch pull. Gotta wonder sometimes how many people have no clue about using pulleys / snatch-blocks. Curious about what diameter cable you use. Great video.
Incredible, that was amazing!!!
Downtown Willie Brown took the words right out of my mouth.
Well done! But your poor little jeep will probably be toast in 2 or 3 years. Id imagine you replace winches at least once a year.
First time watching your channel; I'm an avid ORR subscriber this was an AWESOME recovery - the symmetry/physics powerful!
I wish more bumper supported to upright 8000 it's a beautiful winch and is really does the
You just dun showed ‘‘em how it’s dun!!! Many blessings to you and yours.
If the driver is correct on his weight, he's only 20k lbs+ over legal weight for his setup...
Ya, but only if he goes on a public road, so looks to me like he is perfectly legal
That was an awesome winch out.
You guys are awesome!
Holy crap til you put that anchor strap on the dozer it was a serious pucker factor.
That’s why I was in the cab, we didn’t trust anyone else in there
@@matt.mckinzie That's one nice thing about a wireless winch remote
WOW !! That was a great job. How long were you on site?
would like to see the 8274 get a full workout and review. i have 2 and trying to deciede if i want to go 6 HP or 9.5 HP motor probably go 6HP
extremely impressive what those jeeps can do, as well as your thought process behind every move. i enjoy watching your videos.
Pay the man extra for that one...he knows how to rig that's for damn sure...I thought it was going over
Awesome work!!
Another SUPER job! If I was looking to learn recovery, I want to be in your class. Thanks for your experiences.
With enough snatch blocks you can move mountains.
Something to be said for snatch blocks and a man with the right knowledge & experience.
These jobs often go pear shaped, because to many approach these challenges like a bull out of a china shop.
🙂🙏
Amazing what Matt can do with this setup. Still a dozer and excavator on site, recovery should never have been called. Been moving dirt for nearly 40 years and had them stuck worse. Never called recovery.
Nice recovery!!
Top shelf riggin as usual
Dude. Take my upvote and go get a good tall beer.
Wow very impressive great work!
they called for off road recovery! That’s one happy driver
Most impressive Matt !!
It's funny that the company name is blur out on the truck but the license plate number isn't blur but glad that was able to get out safely and no one got hurt enjoyed watching
Just mind boggling, what this fella can do!!!!
You make this look way easier then Matt’s off-road
Impossible is very possible all you need is leverage
I'm Amazed at how much pressure you can put on these synthetic wench lines
If a jeep shows up to unstuck 70k+lbs its either gonna go bad or magnificent lol
Or magnificently bad lol
You know what you're doing. I love your videos. Always want you to get this stuff out. And people are like all he aint going to next thing. You know, a big expensive tow truck, didn't get him out.
Clearly knows what he is doing !
You sir have some mad skills
Amazed yet again
That's using all the right tools & that thing between your ears.👍
Maybe he could pull Biden out of the white house😮
Wouldn’t that be nice along with all of Biden’s cohorts. Pull the whole swamp out.
Sure. Let’s elect trump and his felon friends. Who needs law and order when you can have an authoritarian? Democracy and free choice are way overrated.
Awesome comment
He'll yea and Obama too
That was freakin awesome 👌
"Give me a fulcrum and a long enough lever n I can lift the world!"
Impressive work.
Where have you been?!?! Hope all is well!!!
give this man a DTU with a 20k winch and 300 ft of cable and he will do some amazing things.
Nice job with this one. IM surprised it didn't tip.
We ordering a winch box with 200’ of line
Takes 2 months to build tho
I love Snatch Blocks too. BTW....who had the keys to the tracked digger on the side of the road?
Amazing and informative video!!! I don't know Florida weight laws, but. Are you sure it is 80,000 pounds? In Minnesota I have a truck like that, legal maximum gross weight of my truck is 54,000 pounds with an axel spacing of 24' between the center of the front axel and the center of the rear axel. This also conforms to Federal weight laws. Also trucks have a manufacturers maximum gross vehicle weight, that you can be fined for exceeding. To gross a truck at 79,000 pounds would require 7 axels with 32' between the center of the front axel and the center of the rear axel. Running a truck overweight like that will drastically shorten the trucks life.
👇Why does he not have a million followers yet
