The Cinema Snob reviews He Knows You're Alone
Snob is the only man with a conceal and carry for VHS
Some of those vhs are so terrible they are lethal
He better beware of the BETAMAX loving and VHS hating Batman.
Yeah, they don't make holsters for big box VHS tapes!!!
My first reaction to Brad getting married was "Sweet, now he and Laura can be in the same room alone together!"
After a year or two they can even hold hands.
Did he propose in the baby aisle? Brad never seemed like one for babies, but clearly that's the point of marriage, right?
I just said again... I'm on my second marriage. Good, luck
Caldella, Most people get married because they have a kid.
Most?
Even in an 80's slasher film Tom Hanks is classy as hell.
Congrats on the marriage, Brad! I just hope you went about this the right way. By getting a giant book full of VERY intrusive questions for her to fill out and then proposing in the baby food aisle, just like in the good ol' days.
I'd like to imagine the scene right after that ending was just a very awkward conversation and that was showing her internal mindset. The only thing worse than being murdered: having to justify your decisions to a person that doesn't like you.
The "Oh no, not again" qoute in the beginning is from "Spaceballs" and is John Hurt parodying his own role from Ridley Scotts "Alien".
DownForwardPunch The qoute, in the beginning of THIS video made by Cinema Snob....
Thank you, Captain Obvious.
I could tell that it was John Hurt, but I thought it might've been from 'Heaven's Gate'. I couldn't tell for sure because I fell asleep during that review.
shadyeskimo nice
SpeedyEric1 I didn't know it was John Hurt, so he's not being Captain Obvious.
Hello my baby hello my honey
what a perfect movie after brad's marriage lol. Congrats again!
He has my condolences.
Seeing Tom Hanks in a slasher film is like seeing Robert Downey Jr in a superhero film. Oh wait
if Downey JR. was in a wedding based slasher it would be called Iron Maiden of Honour
Mathieu Leader Iron Maiden? EXCELLENT!
@@artistwithouttalent 666🤘🤘
Congratulations on your marriage, Brad! I hope you and Laura are incredibly happy together! :)
Married to the Snob II: Married Boogaloo
Congratulations on the marriage Brad, you're a lovely dude and I hope nothing but the absolute best for the both of you,
I bet there are people who watched this that actually think Brad doesn’t know who Tom Hanks is.
That "Oh no. Not again" clip can be used every Buffalo Bills season.
'Grats on your wedding, Brad! Glad your bride survived the night before!
1:17 congrats on your wedding, brother!
Yes, I hope the wedding and subsequent honeymoon was, Lloyd Approved.
I await the Snob turning into a ringwraith now.
Wow. This is the movie that introduced us to Tom Hanks, one of the greatest actors alive.
Wow! There was an actor in this movie that was in another movie that had a bunch of other actors in it! Ahhhh, that was a great movie, thanks for the memories.
Congrats, Brad. Wishing you many happy years, and hordes of sarcastic children.
Well, he recently had his first.
Well, I, for one, am glad to hear Brad got married. I was worried my inexplicably strong sexual attraction to him made me some kind of freak or something. Relieved to know there are others like me out there.
We're in the same boat!
@@55bueller Oh no...not again....
Brad reviewing slasher films never fails to brighten my day
That whole movie within a movie opening is the Hookman legend. :)
Y'know what? I feel like lazing down on a beanbag in my dressing gown with a joint in one hand and a glass of wine in the other listening to retro music on my giant headphones, happy in the knowledge that my throat is not about to be slit.
I want to live in the snobs jacket
@Douglas Babb Ohio sucks.
I like to think that Hanks plays the same character in Mazes and Monsters. That would add a much needed backstory.
This is him after recovering from his roleplaying game addiction. He's grown in character through the suffering and is now a wise psychoanalyst of slasher films who trips girls in parks.
Brad and Linkara released videos with a wedding ring on the same day.
... Did they marry each other?
B S Linkara said that’s possible, so obviously they did. Or Snob and Fat Grandma and Linkara just has the ring on
Yep
It's good you've found someone to hold you when the Nukie flashbacks hit. Congrats, Brad.
That box art always scared me when I would look at the boxes of horror movies at my parents' video store back in the 80's.
I’m starting to watch the review...
And Brad just killed it with that reference at the very beginning, I’m laughing so hard!
Congrats on the wedding, Brad!
Congratulations on the marriage and only you can make "He Knows You're Alone" your post wedding episode
Still a less scary movie than Old Fashioned
Matt Brown Even The Thing isn't that horrifying.
You think that's scary, try meeting the guy
Fun In Ballon Land beats Old Fashioned by a mile!
True.
Matt Brown
You guys are my people! \m/
16:35 _Something Something Dark Forrest Gump_
Gotta love a SpaceBalls reference in the first 10 seconds! Congrats, Mr. Snob on your recent marriage.
"Because she can fix me", fuckin died
The reveal of the jogger was absolutely worth the build-up.
this film was played on one of the first pay cable channels called "the star channel" which I think turned into "the movie channel"
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs Snob!!!!!
After all these years, to finally acknowledge your endless jacket movie collection just makes it more perfect!
9:27 - "He's a closet!" Really? I thought he was an Armoire?
What about a chifforobe?
Also, how does this allegedly heterosexual know gay slang? This was the 1980s. Hip Straight people didn't patronizingly pretend to care about the gays until the 1990s.
David Bauler what?
What_
David Bauler I don't think its implying Marvin cares about gays, i think he's calling Phil a closeted homo. I do agree tho that sjw's are patronizing to us, like they are with black people.
"The Cinema Snob got Married" would make a great film.
Except it would have to be 'The Cinema Snob got Married Again.'
The main thing I took away from this is that I really need to watch Ghostkiller.
That and your wedding, congrats Brad!
An "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" poster behind you on the first episode after you got married? Nice.
Harry and the hendersons references get me every time. Well played my good sir, well played.
Damn, even this movie's title is making fun of my love life
Nukki lol
Congrats Brad on the wedding! Here's to a happy marriage!
This was the beginning of the end of the classic Angry Snob era. How i miss thee
Congratulations, Snob! Many happy years to you both!
Congratulations, Brad! I wish you the best
I loved that I said WTF when I seen I Tom Hanks and then Cinema Snob said the same thing after I did.
Congratulations on your marriage, Brad!
Congrats, Brad!
3:14 - Didn't know The Eagles/Poco bass player Timothy B. Schmit had a twin sister.
P.S. May I suggest the 2007 Lindsay Lohan
stinker "I Know Who Killed Me" for the next episode? I think this should be another teamup with the Nostalgia Critic and make it a Christmas episode by making Santa Christ seek payback after the betrayal in North Jerusalem, and relate Christmas, Santa Christ and a Lindsay Lohan decade-long forgotten film from the MySpace age in the fact that the plot of 'I Know Who Killed Me' doesn't make sense at all.
I saw this when I was a kid and for quite some time after I was afraid to sit in a movie theater seat.
CSharp What a different kind of childhood trauma...
Tommy Deonauth's Archives Weirder than that, I had recurring nightmares involving the Star Wars Stormtroopers for years after seeing the first one.
Jaws scared me out of the beaches for my whole fuckin' life. Thanks, Steven!
Your police squad reference has forever assured me your the G.O.A.T. when satirizing a movie. Well done.
3:04 that question will haunt me for the rest of my life
Grats on the wedding, Snob! :)
Congratulations Brad. ^_^
6:56 I actually remember them using the word 'fag' when I saw this film in theaters in 1980. All subsequent versions had it edited out.
This movie is almost a plagiarism of Halloween, scene for scene, except that the killer is not supernatural or spectral - - just a crazed killer - - which makes this movie more of a serial murder flick than a slasher film. Even the theme music sounds the same as Carpenter's: Halloween :-(
There must have been at least five different 'DON"T' movies made from the 1970's to the 1980's: Don't Go In the Basement, Don't Look Out the Window, Don't Go in the House, Don't Pick Up the Phone(He'll Know You'r Alone [tagline]), Don't Go in the Forest.
I mention this because this film had so many alternate titles.
Congratulations Brad. best wishes for both of you.
If you changed the colon in the title to a coma, this video would be even scarier. By the way congratulations Brad.
I am so happy you've gotten to this underrated lil horror flick with a young Tom Hanks! Plus it has 4 NBC soap stars from the 70s/80s and Clarence Beaks! I mean John Bender's worst nightmare! I mean John McLane's worst nightmare! I mean...anyway.
Paul Gleason, Bro 😐
@@randalgraves6979 Yes, but Gleason will always be Clarence Beaks to me (Trading Places).
I know what movie that is.
OMG! Tom Hank’s first movie.
Congratulations Brad!!!
Congratulations, Brad! :) And thx for the Spaceballs reference. ;)
Congrazzles on the marriage, Brad!
Hooray for getting hitched! Looks like Brad went with the Tungsten ring. Nothing says forever like virtually indestructible metal.
many congratulations Brad
Snob so shook by the wedding ring in his hand, he went full John Hurt!
Congrats on getting married Brad! I wish I could send you a wedding gift!
excellent use of a spaceballs sound clip at the start :)
Congratulations again Brad! Nice bling and glad to see it ;) So many surprises in this movie esp Tom Hanks! And apparently, the shot for shot remake of the bathroom scene in Scream! I'll have to check that out.
Congrads Snob on your marriage. I hope you and your spouse live a happy life.
Congrats Brad! Also, I forgot Tom Hanks was in a slasher movie; lots of well known actors starting out in slasher movies
20:07 - holy crap! I saw this part of this movie on TV in the early 80s at my uncle's house. (It might have been OnTV or Select TV).
Good morning Snob! Interesting to see you posting this early!
To quote Weird Al," Why would you wanna kill Tom Hanks? 'Cause nobody doesn't like Tom Hanks!"
I want this movie on dvd. I love this movie.
Congratulations, Brad. I hope it works out well for you both.
Congratulation for the wedding!
Congratulations brad!
congratulations on the wedding!
As long as you're doing Tom Hanks movies, you should review "Mazes and Monsters." The movies 35th anniversary is coming up in late December. I'm missing the Christplotation movies. I hope there's another one soon.
He's doing another one called Christmas with a Capital C soon. Starring Ted McGinley and Daniel Baldwin.
I hear that's a far out game.
Mazes & Monsters? That film was boring
Ah, Mazes and Monsters...the Reefer Madness for DnD nerds. :-)
dajolaw My thoughts exactly!!!
Tom Hanks was there? Really? Wow, he really has an interesting early film career before Forrest Gump and Toy Story... And also a nice curly wig.
Yeah, this was actually his first movie.
Congrats on your wedding!!
re: 17:23 - I'm surprised the real killer isn't the Scrambler ride with all its door pins loose.
BEST. OPENING. EVER!!!!!!!
Ok, that start was fantastic xD
Also congrats again!
This film was on Turner Classic Movies late-night cult film block in December. I enjoyed it. Would recommend to slasher fans.
Congrats, Brad!
Congrats on the marriage, Brad!
15:37 - Dude, That's Tom Hanks!!!
You and Linkara, both doing the "wedding shock" opening!
When I saw this on TV when I was a kid, I thought it was pretty good. Of course, it was the first slasher film I ever saw.
Congrats, Brad, on your marriage!
I love the intro should that you're wearing a wedding ring. The last time that happened was way back when you reviewed "Curse of the Cannibal Confederates." (Also, nice use of John Hurt from his cameo in Spaceballs.)
3:20- Yeah, I also wish I were watching any of the Scream movies.
It's about damn time you made a Police Squad reference on the show.
6:36- The dudes like to talk about "Chicks, man," but the ladies like to talk about "Dicks, girl."
After reading Caitlin O'Heaney's Wikipedia page, I was hoping you'd make a Savage Weekend reference.
Oh, it makes sense for David S. Pumpkins to make an appearance in a slasher film, even if this was his very first film role.
19:56- At least Warner Bros. didn't come along to edit it down to a mandated runtime while also filming scenes of a bunch of crap no one was asking for, like they did with the theatrical cut of Justice League.
I was also thinking of Harry and the Hendersons.
Congrats Brad!
Congrats Snob!
...
Another great review!
let's spice up the music. Laughed my ass off for that one
The most interesting thing about the score was that the main title was used for Project Pat's "Whatever Ho."
That stabbing sound effect is identical to the parakeet setting on the DSI voice recorder.
Congrats Brad how long until we get cinema snob: the next generation or cinema snob Z
I think the Multiplex Kid is a better name
