High honor Arthur is peak writing. That is how you write a man afraid of the consequences of all the wrong he has done even if he did to protect his crew and is too afraid of seeming weak to share this inner turmoil.

It could have just been a throw away funny, goofy mission but because of Rockstar's brilliant writing it became such an important character building moment for Arthur.
Recently started replaying this for the second time. Its better than I remembered. So many little stories wrapped up in a massive story, and a sort of living world.... Just hopped in right now , randomly met a weird artist guy in a saloon and then helped out some poor slaves. This is objectively one of the BEST games ever made.
This is the only video game that for a fact made me cry as an adult man. Arthur's character arc is one of the best in all of gaming because even when he "changed" it wasn't like he became a whole new person, he was always that person deep down inside but he just needed more age and wisdom and the threat of mortality to see it and start acting on it.
Me too. I bonded with all the characters in some way. I also spent time with Arthur and gave him a final bath. I took him fishing, and washed my horse too. Grew out his hair and beard too. Him dying was like losing a friend. Hell losing everyone in the game felt like losing family.
Dude its been 3 years since I beat the game and I honestly wish I could wipe my memory to feel what I felt when I saw the size of the world and what I could do at the beginning of the game. Haven't been played a game like it since. The main story took me 60 hours to beat and every second was a masterpiece, literally shedding tears at some points throughout the story because it was just so beautiful. This game is literally art, like a moving painting.
Yes, the Lenny mission is so iconic! With how serious RDR1 was, it was such an out of left field thing to have a mission involving getting drunk, dancing, seeing Lenny everywhere, and Arthur being so drunk that it screws up the spelling, yet it’s so funny to play! Can’t wait to see your entire journey through this game! Edit: okay, so serious was not the correct description for RDR1. It’s been years since I’ve played it, so maybe the take is a bit ignorant
5:06. The voice crack in Arthur's voice when he calls out "LeNnY" is so funny to me! I have laughed three times in a row just from him yelling "LeNnY!"
I’ve started playing for the first time as well and it’s the first game that I’ve taken seriously and I’ve taken my time on and I can say with 100% certainty that I love every second of it
The transition from "No-one would have me" to the crazy happy jumping is my favourite moment in all of video games ever. Also your Arthur voice is on point.

I’ve long fallen in love with this game. Everything is so well made, environments, story, physics, lighting, just everything. One of my favorite things to do is just walk around Saint Denis at night, even better when it’s raining
The areas are boring compared to the first game. Go to Manzanita post in the original there is actually things to do there. The original has banks you can rob, stores that ask for help catching criminals, constantly refreshing bounty missions throughout the map. Hunting is completely nerfed and not as satisfying. There is actually way more fun to be had in the original. Keep sucking off two though because of graphics and thinking Arthur is somehow a good character though.
