Bill's behavior through the game reveals that he just wanted to be accepted, and did alot of dumb stuff to become accepted.
Although Bill is not a smart man by any means, but his not quite dumb either.

@@mmamannen8337 I totally agree! I hated him in the first game, but my perspective of him changed in RDR2. I think he's a misunderstood man who wishes to be accepted but does a lot of questionable things that people perceive as dumb and therefore make him dumb, which shouldn't be the case.
God, Rob doesn't even do anything to his voice for John, it's just his regular speaking voice. I love that rugged, raspy quality it has.
You’re so right. A lot of them “sound” like their characters (other than Roger, obviously) but their inflection, pacing, etc... are a little different than when they’re putting on a performance. Rob is pitch-perfect identical. You can close your eyes when he talks and it simply is John Marston.

The guy who plays Bill Williamson has a very good way with words. I love how he really elaborates on the little emotional things about the game and the characters. He seems very passionate about the narritive from start to finish. Opened my eyes to a a lot of little things I never really noticed in the story.

Agreed. It makes me think about how many little pieces it takes to build a game like this because when these guys came in and voiced all these characters in the game, they weren't just there reading some lines from a script. They were trying to understand the fundamentals of their characters and put some from themselves in it. Everyone there has a great understanding of mainly who they played in the game and how they interacted with each other.
It's true, Bill has so many "hidden" traits in this game, he is not just a dumb big guy
i agree. also, and i could be wrong, but i feel in comparison to the rest of the cast he is more of a gamer. i dont think he has out right said it but i get the vibe that he play video games more than the rest,

@@Tostito422 the cast said they did use sound booths sometimes but very rarely. Benjamin Davis said for long monologues they used sound booths.

At 30:43 I just lost it. Roger sounded so like scared when he said yeah. And his reasoning why he got into dancing was priceless. Like the whole section is hilarious

I love how there seems to be genuine beef between Rob and Gabriel over who the real father of Jack is
It gets overlooked by most people, but after the fishing mission with Jack, Arthur writes in his journal he should've married Abigail before she fell for "that fool MARSTON" and how a part of him always thought that, although he ultimately didn't because of his feelings for Mary. So obviously, he was involved with Abigail at some point, on top of her joining the gang as a prostitute and sleeping with everyone. Also, if you pay attention, Jack's hair colour is exactly the same as Arthur's and in the epilogue, he has his own drawings on the wall of his room. So maybe in the end, Arthur didn't save John so much but a woman he loved and a kid who might as well have been his own.

He’s so pissed off with John because John left for a year and he felt betrayed since they were surrogate brothers and that’s why he writes “that fool MARSTON”. It’s also because Arthur wants a family like John has but sees John neglecting them so a part of it is jealousy as well. Plus Jack in the first game has Johns hair color so it’s likely that John as a kid also had lighter hair that darkened over time and Adult Jack looks exactly like John. If Arthur or anyone else was the true father they would’ve made it much more obvious

Bill and Javier weren't evil, they're blind to loyalty like Arthur, the only thing that made Arthur realized that they're doing the wrong thing is the news of him dying
Javier kinda is good i mean in the cronfantation in chapter 6 while everyone is pointing their guns on Arthur and John Javier has his gun in the air.
When Micah's voice actor called jack adorable as an answer of wether or not he would ride with him as a combat companion, it felt like an in character response, like teasing an adult jack by calling him adorable, had me in tears. AS much as I hate Micah, I love his Voice actor just as much!

It takes a really good actor to make you hate a character as bad as we all hate Micah, and that makes me kind of like him. I respect Peter Blomquist a lot for that, what a cool guy.
For me the best scene and the most emotional, was when Arthur and John are running away from Dutch and the rest, and they shot Arthur's horse and he stays there untill the horse dies and says "Thank you for everything"

37:27 I really respect that man for openly talking about having mental health issues. You can tell he's still not his best self from his body language, but the fact that he openly talked about his issues to the people that helped him in recovery is a powerful thing to see and hear. Personally speaking, at the time of playing this game I was having a rough time too and I completely understand where he was coming from. I was really glad to see a smile on his face when he walked back to his chair, it's a really big step he took and he overcame something within himself I think.

Roger just has so much energy and passion for the game, it's honestly amazing. You can tell that he truly loves everything about it, the others clearly love the game as well but Roger just full of energy for RDR2

Yes. All the characters are somewhat modeled after the voice actors. They also did motion capture, not just voice acting, which is how they managed to get them really close to the real thing.

4:52, I actually do have a favorite Micah scene. It's in chapter 2 when the O'Driscols bush-wack Arthur and Micah after they just robbed the armored coach. You can hear Micah's general concern for Arthur when the shooting starts.
My theory is that Micah was actually some kind of "good" at first , then he changed as Dutch lost it and as he knew about arthur's illness

Micah used to be loyal in his own hideous way, but the gang just keep giving him shts, I think at the end when the gang seems to fail micah just went and said "fk it if this whole operation goes down at least I'll get something from it" he even stayed with dutch years after Arthur's death.

Well I mean at the end of rdr1 jack does have the Javier facial hair look in rdr2 if you think about it.
I wish they would do a whole animation of that question where R* replace the actors with the characters during the whole question. THAT would be fun
It gets overlooked by most people, but after the fishing mission with Jack, Arthur writes in his journal that he should've married Abigail before she fell for "that fool MARSTON" and how a part of him always thought that, although he ultimately didn't because of his feelings for Mary. So obviously, he was involved with Abigail at some point, on top of her joining the gang as a prostitute and sleeping with everyone. Also, if you pay attention, Jack's hair colour is exactly the same as Arthur's and in the epilogue, he has his own drawings on the wall of his room. So maybe in the end, Arthur didn't save John so much but a woman he loved and a kid who might as well have been his own.
This was the fastest 47 minute video I've ever watched. I was so invested with their characters playing both RDR games, I grew to love the people behind those characters and how they would talk about their experiences. Truly a legendary franchise and I can't wait for the next installment.

I love all of them. Every person in that group look like an amazing human being, exactly like you wish they would be. Man, what a great cast.
Arthur did love his family, John, Abigail, Jack, Tilly, even Javier were all his family and in the end he had his redemption.
