13:09 This reminds me of how much different Disney movies used to be when I was growing up. There was some really dark shit like this scene in The Lion King and many scenes in The Brave Little Toaster. I LOVE The Brave Little Toaster. I’m 34 years old and not ashamed to say that at all haha. That movie is amazing.
This game inspired my whole studio to base its software investments into what I could best capture and produce performances with as an indie and really shaped my game dev output for the better.
One of the greatest games. It came out right around when my mother passed away, so I took that week off of work and just played the shit out of it to keep from thinking about it too much. Always holds a special place in my heart.
1st game: perfect blend of simulation and fun game play mechanics (minus the weird person physics that rockstar were putting into their games at the time like gta iv) 2nd game: more of a chore grind simulator that has pretty visuals. No background music that I can remember. Oh and there's also fishing which was done really well actually.
Yes! Something to watch when i make dinner later tonight. Thank you act man for always coming through in a pinch ❤️. Hope you had a wonderful xmis and new years! 🎉
I played RDR2 when it first came out in 2018 on my PS4 and I loved it so much the next year when I felt like playing it again I just bought it digitally on my xbox just so I can have fun getting most of the achievements again and when I got myself a PC in 2020 and Picked up RDR2 on sale for like 20 bucks on steam last year or maybe it was earlier this year and god damn I had a blast with it all over again. Definitely one of those games you keep coming back to every few years to appreciate.
RDR2 is one of the best games of all time. I know why GoW got GOTY that year, and i love GOW 2018 a ton, but RDR2 was unbelievably amazing and iconic, easily my GoTY for 2018 and of that entire generation really It's only flaw is that R* stopped working at Red Red Online right when RD:O turned a corner and was hitting its stride. The single player is perfect
I still haven’t played red dead 1 all the way through. Red dead 2 was the first one I played and going back to the first has been difficult. The size and detail of 2 have spoiled me
I remember playing this my senior year of highschool. I had spent a great deal of time playing, the first one, and I had great memories with one of my close friends from my childhood. Playing this newer prequel was like diving back into a childhood memory at the very cusp of adulthood. This game is absolutely beautiful and brought back every memory I had from the previous one while creating many new great memories along the way. What an amazing series.
RDRD2 has a couple points that really struck me in ways that no other game had quite managed before, for reasons wholly unique to the medium of videogames. That ride back through Lemoynes? When the music kicks halfway through? Still gives me chills when I think about it. Blew my mind when I discovered that they got D'Angelo to sing that, too. Outta leftfield that one. Just... crazy
Happy new year Cowboy Man! Thanks for the years of good times on here, looking forward to whatever you have planned this year. With love from England ❤
I actually never did a full playthrough of the game. Have one started on PC and currently doing a final playthrough of GTAV because I did it on PS3, PS4 and now PC so all platforms. Technically did it on the 360 when it first came out too but that was at a friends place. But RDR2, from the first two or three hours I played so far, looks amazing and it’s been fun. Only issue is performance. Stability is hard for this game for some reason but I figured it out and using a 2080Ti at 1440p and mostly maxed out graphics now im above 120 frames and it feels great. After my GTAV playthrough im definitely installing this one again to finish it and make it last until GTA VI comes out!
"This is the cowboy man here" Less than 4 seconds in, _two blatant gun safety violations._ (Aimed gun at his own head, finger on the trigger throughout. Do not put finger on trigger unless intending to shoot, and do not aim at anything you don't intend to shoot. Also it doesn't matter if it's a fake gun. Fake guns should be treated as real ones to keep from getting careless with real ones.)
The side missions/random stuff you can find is some of the best parts about this game, the night folk genuinely scared me the first time I came across them, seeing a ghost made me think I’d gone insane from playing the game too long, hunting the serial killer or the vampire are absolute highlights of the game, and I damn near had a panic attack when I encountered the ufo, so much cool shit to be found.
Can't even begin to describe how amazing RDR2 is. Easily one of the best pieces of media entertainment I've ever experienced in my life. Looking forward to the full review once you finish up.
Nothing better to do than to play a Legendary video game like RDR2 to wash off the terrifying moments of other bad games you experienced prior (MW III). I also can't wait to see your full review on it, this game is beyond it's time and I'm happy I got to watch a playthrough of it 4 years ago.
So good! And I had the same issue with Dutch yelling about the cattle shed at the start of the game lol I kept trying to hide behind it like a dumb ass. A++ game tho
This game is packed dense with details and writing bits, if you stick around camp you can catch unique conversations between characters that give insight into how they all feel about one another, especially at night when they all gather to the campfire to share stories.
Best presented story in gaming IMO. The way things played out with the gameplay intertwined with the story and probably the best acting in videogames history.
I too am one of those people that shudda played Red Dead 2 but it just passed me by. Heard good things so I probably should get round to experiencing it one of these days.

"I ain't changed. I'm still a bad man..."
I’m also playing rdr2 for the first time right now, man what an experience. It’s been great so far
Bro is about to have the time of his life. Do not rush the game. Do everything.
1st game: perfect blend of simulation and fun game play mechanics (minus the weird person physics that rockstar were putting into their games at the time like gta iv)
2nd game: more of a chore grind simulator that has pretty visuals. No background music that I can remember. Oh and there's also fishing which was done really well actually.
I've been scrolling for a while and you're the first comment that echoes my opinion of the game
Once the dust has settled, a comparison between the 2 games soundtracks would be great.
The acting male man finally playing red dead redemption 2 brings a tear in my eye
such an amazing game, I'm glad you are playing it!
Yes! Something to watch when i make dinner later tonight. Thank you act man for always coming through in a pinch ❤️. Hope you had a wonderful xmis and new years! 🎉
I did! Hope you had a Merry Christmas too
I played RDR2 when it first came out in 2018 on my PS4 and I loved it so much the next year when I felt like playing it again I just bought it digitally on my xbox just so I can have fun getting most of the achievements again and when I got myself a PC in 2020 and Picked up RDR2 on sale for like 20 bucks on steam last year or maybe it was earlier this year and god damn I had a blast with it all over again. Definitely one of those games you keep coming back to every few years to appreciate.
RDR2 is one of the best games of all time. I know why GoW got GOTY that year, and i love GOW 2018 a ton, but RDR2 was unbelievably amazing and iconic, easily my GoTY for 2018 and of that entire generation really
It's only flaw is that R* stopped working at Red Red Online right when RD:O turned a corner and was hitting its stride. The single player is perfect
0:03 Your fine I got an ad at the start 🤣
One of the greatest story ever told not just in a video game but ALL of fiction and I mean it. You will fall in love with this game.
It’s not lol
I’m with you 1000%
Not a great story or plot bro....
Story sucked one more job one more job cliche generic story
@@Saurabh-cy4pw story didnt suck its just overated af lol and game only gets good till chapter 3
@@DeadX2 so what the fuck did I say huh? I am talking about the story here.
nice video and finaly you did it rdr2 YES
Yessss
I still haven’t played red dead 1 all the way through. Red dead 2 was the first one I played and going back to the first has been difficult. The size and detail of 2 have spoiled me
The playthrough we've all been waiting for! Would love to see a Ghost of Tsushima playthrough when RDR2 is wrapped up.
Another fantastic game
Despite this games immense popularity, it still manages to be underrated. Literal definition of a masterpiece 🙏
Underrated?
Nigga this game is the most overrated game ever
This game definitely isn’t underrated.
I'm so glad Act Man decided to stream the whole playthrough. Rdr2 is one of those legendary titles. I'll be tuned in every Saturday
Still waiting on the "Why Pay Day 3 is so bad" video...
Bad!?*
Same my dude. For the first time I also started to play the game, couple days ago. It is incredible masterpiece
Act man where’s the apology video for the payday 3 video?
Hate to break it to you, you ain't getting one.
I can’t believe how long it took you to play such a masterpiece!!!!
Ikr. But ayy atleast he finally did
Best game made of all time.
Oh look, the Payday 3 man returns

Damnnnn
One of my all time favorite games. I’m excited to see the actman reaction to the whole story.
Good editing on this video. Rdr2 makes for really good content. And it is a damn good game.
Patrolling Nevada central almost makes you wish the act man would make a video about madness project nexus
Still to this day one of my favorite Platinum Trophies, doing absolutely everything in the campaign was still entertaining after over 120 hours
"This is the cowboy man here"
Less than 4 seconds in, _two blatant gun safety violations._
(Aimed gun at his own head, finger on the trigger throughout. Do not put finger on trigger unless intending to shoot, and do not aim at anything you don't intend to shoot. Also it doesn't matter if it's a fake gun. Fake guns should be treated as real ones to keep from getting careless with real ones.)
I feel like RDR2 is like a contraster to how much effort some other game companies put into there games when you compare it to RDR2 its night and day
The side missions/random stuff you can find is some of the best parts about this game, the night folk genuinely scared me the first time I came across them, seeing a ghost made me think I’d gone insane from playing the game too long, hunting the serial killer or the vampire are absolute highlights of the game, and I damn near had a panic attack when I encountered the ufo, so much cool shit to be found.
Great video man! So I can't wait for Why was Payday 3 so bad!
I just played Red Dead II this year, from start to finish, and I absolutely loved it. Hope you’ll enjoy it too Cowboy Man!
I just bought this on steam deck and was just about to boot it up for the first time. Glad I stumbled upon the channel!
Isn't this the guy that gave mad props to a game that was full of bugs because they invited him out to their cozy launch party..?
Best presented story in gaming IMO. The way things played out with the gameplay intertwined with the story and probably the best acting in videogames history.
I too am one of those people that shudda played Red Dead 2 but it just passed me by. Heard good things so I probably should get round to experiencing it one of these days.
