Certainly an interesting concept. I do find it odd that such a specific Mobile Suit reappears twice in such specific circumstances past its time. Although, this isn't without precedent in Tomino's works - remember the Mobile Suit Statues in Reconguista's first episode? Once again, very 'specific' machines. Maybe just some designs that Tomino enjoys.
Exactly. It’s just a funny coincidence that I found and it seems there’s a bit of evidence that actually connects the two moments. :) the symbolism I mentioned isn’t really connected to the gaplant. But rather just the two stories.
It’s hard to say. Gaia gear is more obscure than most stories. An anime of it isn’t in high demand, unlike something like Crossbone. If they did make an anime. I could see it being something like Unicorn. 7-8 1-hour long movies or an OVA. But once again it’s a little more hard to say. Would they adapt the Radio drama or the novels? It’s hard to say what they would do.
wouldn’t be surprised if the hijacker’s body was still in the Gaplant

Think of how older mechs are still used in battletech rebels use what they have
Gaplant in od green is now in my "make from gunpla" list.
Nice search Info.

I listened to Gaia Gear many years ago but it's not really canon now
