The Emira was launched at Hethel, England on 6 July 2021 and then presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 8 July 2021. It replaces the Evora, Exige and Elise. The Emira's design bears several similarities to that of Lotus' high-performance car Evija, which was presented in 2019.

The new Emira went on sale in March 2022 and came with a 3.5 litre supercharged V6 sourced by Toyota. Power figures are 406 PS (299 kW; 400 hp) and 430 N⋅m (320 lb⋅ft) of torque. Available in either 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Later on, a smaller 2.0 litre turbocharged engine sourced from Mercedes-AMG with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) was made available for the new Emira, with 365 PS (268 kW; 360 hp).
Pricing was announced on 20 September 2021 for the UK, starting at £59,995 for the base i4 and £75,995 including 20% VAT tax for the V6 First Edition. US pricing was announced on 1 October 2021 starting at $74,900 for the base i4 and $93,900 for the V6 First Edition. The V6 First Edition was expected to have been available by Spring 2022 with the i4 following in Autumn 2022.
In 2022, the Emira made its debut in Malaysia with the First Edition being the variant on offer. It was powered by the 3.5 litre supercharged V6.[citation needed]

The Lotus Evora is a sports car produced by the British company Lotus. The car, which was developed under the project name Project Eagle, was launched on 22 July 2008 at the British International Motor Show. The Evora S was launched in 2010 with a supercharged 3.5-litre V6. A facelifted and more powerful Evora 400 model was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, followed by another more powerful variant, the Evora GT430, which was unveiled in 2017.
The Lotus Evora is based on the first all-new vehicle platform from Lotus Cars since the introduction of the Lotus Elise in 1995 (the Exige and the 2006 Europa S are both derivatives of the Elise). The Evora was planned to be the first of three vehicles to be built on the same platform. The sales target was 2,000 cars per year, with prices between £45,000 and just over £50,000, and sales in America scheduled from the beginning of 2010.

An Elise Turbo and Evora S are two cars in my garage. Love them both equally. Wasn't impressed at all with Emira test drive.

Correct answer is Exige or Elise! The two latter cars are increasing departures from the Lotus ethos of add lightness.

Evora all day, its just a better Lotus.
Better engine / power, better aero, better sound, and worse comfort and sound system, so all around, its a better Lotus !
The Emira is a Lotus for the mass ! It's the brand strategy to try to touch more public that's all...

I'll take the Emira with a slight tune. It has the same engine (less power), better aero, sound between the cars would be the same with same exhaust, better comfort and better sound system (not that good overall).
I'm pretty sure with the same power, the Emira will edge out the Evora on basically every track, as it has better grip and similar weight.

Neither . Both Styling disasters . Lotus lost it from the Esprit onwards . These cars are too small and made only for hair stylists

@@SquiggyWigginz nah , I like my 355 , Dino , 356a and 27 classic 105 series Alfas and two 400 Hp Escorts MK1 and MK2 a bit too much to worry about my wealth . 😂I had a Lotus years ago . It was great ( Elan M 100turbo ) , but since the Halcyon days of the Esprit , the Lotus range is no more than a beach buggy on steroids . No excuses with that sort of design budget . And the SUV !!!? What on earth were they thinking ? The EVs will fail too . Sound fair to you cupcake ?
