The group is never ending The group grew from decay The group is darkness father Heaven selected the truth as pain really hope this group is never ending
I'm in fucking awe. I literally do not have any words to describe how perfect this is. This is definitely my favorite song and favorite album of all time. There is so much emotion in their voices and just wow. DGD always does nothing but perfection every album, but they've really fucking outdone theirselves this album. Wow. Just wow.
Not only is this song amazing but the pure instrumentals are absolutely insane. Everyone's all over the place and yet they all mesh perfectly. DGD does it again with this album
This band is better than they've ever been. By far. Tilian & mess have the perfect balance on vocals. Will is destroying each and every record. And Matt just keeps pounding the hell out of his kit and keeps it groovy. Flawless transitions in the rhythm section
Ruben Gawan Mattias Inks website shows a lot of their album cover style artworks, and I feel like it gives a cool perspective on Jon Mess's thoughts and Dance Gavin Dance itself, I love the art. They chose Mattias Inks for a reason lol
holy jesus fuck when jon and tilian's voice are combined it sounds like a fucking gawd creator of the universe on some angelic apocalyptic shit. like i hope when they perform this song live they do some dragon ball z fusion shit on stage and become Jonian Melson
Listened to the whole album, I did NOT want this to end. I can not wait to see you masterminds come up with next. God damnit. I rate this album 10/10 would bang.
I love how Will and Jon trade off screams together around 1:23 in the part that goes, "I know a guy, somewhere, whose got a guy..." Just like how they traded off screams in People You Knew... I'm wet lol.
Dance Gavin Dance saved my life with his songs gave me a hope and a reason to live safe from the madness me and myself Thanks to all members of Dance Gavin Dance me you saved the life spend all my money by buying all their albums are my favorite band since many years ago I thank you wholeheartedly maybe nobody will take much attention to this comment but I wanted to thank you keep writing these songs so wonderful . Thanks: ,) )
my first time listening to this album I thought Variation was my favorite song. 2nd time, Awkward became #1 and now on my 3rd listen, this song is my new favorite lol. This entire album is just unreal.
Spyda1012 Right? My favorite keeps changing every time I listen to it This album really hits a lot of different moods and tones. Super fucking heavy or soft and poppy. This band has been perfect even since 'Whatever I Say is Royal Ocean"
Spyda1012 Mine keeps changing with each listen too, I loved Variation and Awkward, Shark Dad is pretty sick. But right now I am really diggin The Cuddler. This album is pure gold man I was so hyped for this and not let down at all. DGD still has not made a bad song yet.
I was listening and like "yea I think I know what my fave song is" and then this comes on and I'm like "Ok, now there's no doubt I KNOW the best song." Amazing song, this is gonna be blasting from everywhere in my house and car for years to come
Jon, Will, and Matt have always been my favorite parts of DGD. I really hope Tillian stays through at least two more albums though. We need DGD songs that feature Jonny and Kurt.
What I really like about this one is the combination of the complex instrumentals and how the layering of the vocals sounds much like the stuff Tilian did when he was in Tides of Man. This whole album is perfect and I didn't want it to end. Bravo, DGD!
It completely blows my mind how amazing, creative and original every track is by DGD. I have been hooked on this band like a crackhead ever since I randomly came across "Lemon Meringue Tie" right after Downtown Battle Mountain was released.. Gotta get my daily fix lol... If I were told that I could only choose one band/artist to listen to for the rest of my life I would be perfectly content with nothing other than Dance Gavin Dance. In my eyes, they exemplify the definition of musical pioneers... Thank the Lord above for bringing these guys together in Sacramento for I don't know what on Earth I'd do without them. Every time I hear them jam its like... INSTANT GRATIFICATION (April 14!)
This is the last one I'm listening to and this one is ALSO my favorite. ALSO my favorite. Everything was my favorite. I cant pick. Dammit you make this so hard DGD.
The only complaint I have about this album so far is that the songs are too short. It's so damn good I need everything to be longer (especially since Back to the Future 2 was a hard closer to live up to, and Lost doesn't quite reach it but that's ok) but overall this album is one of my favorites, and this is coming from a fan who used to hate the idea of Tilian joining DGD lol
HOLY FUCK! the entire album is mind blowing, of course, BUT, this song seriously gave me "the feels". My mind has been fucked in a way that it hasn't since october 8, 2013
I know right,it makes me think of how a lot of American religion n how stupid everyone is with it like how the f*** are you going to convert to a religion when you don't even know anything about it really people are so judgemental even when it says in the Holy Bible only god can judge us people want to be religious freaks but don't even know a damn thing about their own practicing how the f*** are you going to convert to something that you have no idea about it's just straight ignorance
"I know a guy, somewhere, whose got a guy, from town, whose knows a guy, from around, whose gotta die" Once I knew this guy who knew this guy who knew this guy who knew this guy....... who knew this guy's cousin
The lyrics in this piece of work are amazing, probably the deepest ones they've made, the beats and chords aren't the best, was a good work though. Been with you guys since DBM. Miss the old jams, but this is good too.
I never really analyzed the lyrics. but this song says to me. when you live a life without meaning you are miserable and lost. lost to a point where you need a god but you don't. instead of developing a philosophy to deal with nihilism. you begin to cult think. and then demonize anybody who isn't part of it... man it really describes todays cancel culture
MASTERLINKX111 I'm sure there are tons of references to many things, Mess has video game references to the max that I'm still discovering from older albums
okay it's a long list and there's more than what I'm gonna say this is just from memory let's start with the ep. in "The Robot with Human Hair" Jon says "polymorphic hemophilia is fine" which may be a reference to the disease in the Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Not 100% sure since the game and the album were released in the same year. On to DBM. in "The Backwards Pumpkin Song" Mess says "Bar fight, I invented chivalry Notch in my bed post Slow motion action replay" an action replay was a thing you put on your gameboy and u could duplicate items in pokemon and walk through walls and do other stuff in different video games, I just remember using it for pokemon. Also, the "Surprise! I'm From Cuba, Everyone has One Brain" is all in reference to the Zelda series I can't remember anything specific from Deathstar and Mess didn't appear on Happiness but in DBMII on "Spooks" Mess says "The sound of master blaster's tank weapon gun addon I believe" I'm not 100% which game he's referencing here but it sounds like he's referencing a game addon. Also, in "Priviously Poncheezied" he says "You've got that ostrich beak that's lowering your skill in sneak" and sneak is a skill in Elder Scrolls maybe that one's a stretch but knowing Mess I wouldn't be surprised. Also in Acceptance Speech "Jesus H. Macy" Jon says "Set it up, cover the plans, record everyone, make demands Positional strategy, split was disastrous, flanking the siege" which is definitely about StarCraft 2 even Jon Mess confirmed this on a Q&A on reddit. Also, on the Secret Band Full Length there's a song called Giygas which a monster in "Mother" and "Earthbound" this is all from memory there's probably and definitely more references I missed
Tickle my animal instincts, survive. Capable sociable subject I'm part of the pack I know a guy, somewhere, Whose got a guy, From town, Who knows a guy, from around, Whose gotta die. We crave a greater existence survive. Attainable modified purpose I'm part of the pack Man I love this song.

Sebastián Méndez I feel like at least 3 of those lines directly reference this band. A man can dream I suppose.
Our society man.... The feels..
Well...I have news
@@RITKO 😭
"Oh no he said a bad word" from there and onwards this song becomes my favorite on the album. But I still like Variation too.
Jon and Tillian are meshing so well in this.
im listening to every song on this album and in every song i find myself saying this one is my favorite
i was going by the order rise uploaded it so technically awkward was the last.
Cocobarbarian I know this struggle.
Cocobarbarian some of them run together is my only complaint...but otherwise a solid album as usual and I agree with you!
me and you both dude
Cocobarbarian really now this is my least favorite haha
I'm in fucking awe. I literally do not have any words to describe how perfect this is. This is definitely my favorite song and favorite album of all time. yesterday used pimpmyviews. com to get more real subscribers on youtube, got around 225 real ones :-)
Hell yes..
If i could live in Jon Mess's imagination, thatd be great.
Ruben Gawan completely agree, he's on another level and it's quite beautiful :)
Ruben Gawan Mattias Inks website shows a lot of their album cover style artworks, and I feel like it gives a cool perspective on Jon Mess's thoughts and Dance Gavin Dance itself, I love the art. They chose Mattias Inks for a reason lol

Literally one of the best drummers in the world, never forget about that. This song goes real hard with the drums. Amazing shit.

NickyNick248 just as good.

I'm lost in the greatness of this song.
Holy shit in every song you have a freaking pun! I love it!! :D

What a killer closer. The most complete dgd album to date!
This so fucking damn amazing song. I can't even describe how I feel about this song.
"Oh no, he said a bad word."Ha ha, but I totally agree with you.
-_-||
Probably my favorite song. Though it keeps changing. Amazing album overall. But holy shit, Jon and Will screaming back and forth starting at 1:09.
I never knew it was will in the backround i thought it was all Jon
It’s beyond powerful
Still a banger in 2023
Just passing by from 2020 here and still listening to the amazing band

Who could end an album on arguably the best song of its entirety? DGD. An absolute beautfiul madness
One of the most underrated DGD songs of all
Love this song, but it always jumpscares me when I'm using autoplay. It's recorded so loud!
unreal how good this is.
My feelings can not be described with words. I feel like I'm in a realm of melody and harmony.
this album is love
every song on this album gives me Instant Gratification!!!
Hands down one of my top dgd albums 🙌 Tilian and Jon's vocals compliment one another so beautifully 💙
2:14 this part sounds beautiful.....the lyrics are not very poetic, but it's just the way they were delivered that makes it stand out.
Man I swear it is like they get better and better. Not a bad song on this album.
I love these past two albums. I hope they do at least one more with Tilian and Jon, they're such an awesome combo.
This october you will experience another masterpiece of the ultimate combo :)
+WoeisEuTu [&] hopefully :)
This song really took me by surprise. What a satisfying conclusion!
This is the last one I'm listening to and this one is ALSO my favorite. ALSO my favorite. Everything was my favorite. I cant pick. Dammit you make this so hard DGD.
Jesus Christ Tilian where did this magic come from?
This entire album is Gold.
Best song on the album in my opinion. It's just so fucking great.
These dudes all synchronize together so perfectly, this music is the lords music.
How people react when you cuss around kids 2:14 to 2:45
Feels like a reference to one of their shows at home where they almost got shut down for cussing on stage during a track.
@@domomurphy7052 Seriously?

So much meaning in those lyrics.

When I heard "I am lost / Need a god" I fell instantly in love with the song.
I FREAKING LOVE THIS ALBUM! My favorite since downtown battle mountain!!!
This song does NOT get talked about enough
Nope…
albums are to long and to stacked. some great songs get overshadowed.
Wish I could go back to 2015 when this album came out, it was a great time
The vocals sync so beautifully.
This.. Song... Is amazing.
Usually, I prefer instrumental DGD. I think the screaming just gets in the way of the math rocky guitar and awesome drums. But this... I can dig this.
uma das melhores...
This album is so goddamn good.
this whole album is so good
Heaven selected the truth as PAIN! I love Jon Mess~~
Music like this makes life worth living
This albums videos have the least hate comments out of any other TH-cam video I've seen. Good job dgd.
Yesssss
Chorus is ridiculously catchy
I called my sister’s, cousin, uncle, friend, made sure to trust them time and time again. This totally reminds me of "People You Know"
Unreal. SO GOOD
This sing following Variation is a fantastic way to close this marvelous album
I like how this song applies both to religions, cults and movements like Social Justice.

This is the best song in the album lyric-wise.
Imagine if DGD never went anywhere and never happened.. All of Jon Mess's creativity and deep critical thinking would never be known..
Least favorite closer but I still love it. Still evokes an emotion in me; one of bitter coldness. This album ended on a chilling note, heh

My favorite.
Why the fuck does 'awkward' have like 1.5 million views but this has under 500k??? This is the best track on this album by a fucking mile
😭love this song
I cant be the only mf still blasting this album in 2022 surely
love the part where Jon Mess screams alongside with Will, pure effectiveness
wasted youth? Secret Band reference
In Variation Tilian and Jon both said "Stuck and Glued" so lots of secret band references
