I don't know what took me so long to get into Chris's channel. I've always been an admirer of his as a sort of poetic gladiator on CNN going toe-to toe with the Kelly-Ann Conways' and the like. I'm glad to finally dive into what his new channel is about after fearing he'd gone the way of Russell Brand (which is clearly not the case--thank god!). I jumped in when he was reading 'mean comments' and laughed out loud. There's the Chris! Gloves off, speaking his speech unapologetically with that introspective care of prose and mindfulness that I've always appreciated. Now I'm in a full blown binge; and wow! the line-up of guests is top notch. I can't wait to get after it!
This is just what I needed in this time of division; civil conversations across the divide. A 'come-to-Jesus' moment to get some understanding. It's exhausting all the fighting, 'alternative facts', name calling and finger pointing. Let's be adults again; agree to disagree with civil arguments and understanding ears!

I'm not liberal or conservative but there are two different conversations going on here. Chris is being open and transparent - driving at a real conversation - what he says is intersting whether I agree with his politics or not - he isn't in a left or right box reciting talking points. Tucker makes his living off talking points - he articulates them well and says them real loud - and then repeats them over and over and over. He is one of the most diengenuous people in the media. He has been one of the prominent MAGA mouth pieces and he was caught red handed in black and white textiung Hannity saying he despises Trump and that he has been a disaster as a President - can't wait for him to be gone. Carlson is the epinomy of audience capture - he is very bright at knowing exactly what his particular audience wants to hear. Tucker is a conservative but so much of the over the top conspiratorial stuff is a lie and no one knows it more than him. It's not a matter of disagreeing with Tucker's politics - as a person he is a complete weasal liar.

Chris Cuomo! I never in a million years thought I would send you a compliment and here I am giving my first to any platform on social media. Without remembering any details as to the why, my opinion of you was really very low before you were given an opportunity to explore "your next phase of career". I absolutely LOVED you giving Tucker a hard time over his treatment of you while still at Fox and kudos for making him blush...never seen that before! Chris your new platform as you described it is so very refreshing and I applaud you. I wish you success!

      Ah, the memories:
      1. *"If you vote for Trump, consider yourself a fool." -Chris Cuomo, aka Mister I'm above others because I never derided people for who they vote for. *Chris Cuomo = Consummate Coward*. He's like a flat cardboard cutout. Half of the time he faces you and the other half he turns sideways as a way to hide from you. He uses his "super-weasel" chameleon like power to hide, like a coward. Here he is again speaking without actually saying anything.
      2. One sign of a coward is asking yourself questions and then answering them. Chris does it often.
      3. Remember when Chris Cuomo had COVID and was required to be quarantined as per NY law but he got caught out far away from his home? He predicted getting fired...so on the next broadcast he talked about changing careers. Surprise, nothing happened. You see Chris forgot that libs are held to much lower standards. Break whatever frivolous NY laws you feel like Chris you'll be back to work the next day reporting on all of the awful people who broke COVID laws.
      4. Remember when Chris Cuomo's wife stated that she bathed in Clorox to fight the coronavirus? The company immediately issued a statement for people not to do this. Meanwhile Chris was lecturing us about only following CDC guidelines.
      5. Remember having your brother Andrew on your show when he was the Democrat darling future POTUS? Maybe you can have him make an appearance again. Remember when you were on CNN bloviating about "Believe all women?" LOL. Only when it came to Trump right? Having Andrew on would thrill all of his fans. What did they call themselves, Cuomosexuals?
      6. Your brother got lots of people killed. Dr.Birx explained how other large cities did better than NYC because the other cities acted sooner. As Mayor why did Cuomo wait so long? As always, politics.

the problem with this specific conversation is that Tucker is 100% playing a game in order to find exactly this reaction. People somewhat believing that he actually wants to make an effort.
He does not. This is the typical bs that he keeps peddling to people to kinda warm up to him. If you think he wants to bridge any sort of gap, then measure him by his actions, not some words in a casual conversation with Cuomo.

@@Teal_Seal Like I said, he and I disagree on many things but his humility and new approach are admirable to me nonetheless. Give me this version of Chris Cuomo over the average Progressive talking head, voter, activist and politician. I'll bet we could solve a lot of issues.

I do enjoy this format, and I highly respect what Chris is doing here to communicate with people of opposing views.
That said, Tucker still argues in bad faith. In this interview (and I'm yet to see part 2) he argues in bad faith less than he did whilst on Fox, but he argues in bad faith nonrtheless.
I would have liked to see Chris push back on these bad fsith arguments. For example, Tucker argues that Ashli Babbitt should not have been shot because she was an unarmed woman. The capitol officer that shot her had no way of knowing whether or not she was armed.
The fact of the matter is that she saw the officer pointing his weapon in her direction before she stepped through the window, yet she still stepped through the window and was then shot which soon resulted in her death.
Fuck around and find out. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Consequences were clearly to be expected.

A lesson on clearing the air, PERFECT! Just what we need now. Two adults showing how adults should behave. Open dialogue with respect for each other’s opinion. Continued on, eyes open, we see the light. Thank you. Both of you.

I'm only 24 minutes into this conversation and Coumo seems to actually be a likeable person. It's nice to hear a person's complete honest side. This coming together shows how people, big and small can actually fall into things they wouldn't necessarily fall into when not being influenced by superior powers above them. Seeing Tucker and Coumo, who I too see as opposites and super powers in their arenas, speaking freely without someone watching over their shoulders, shows that people are not very different at all and are honestly fighting for the same. It shows that opposing arguments are set up under the shadows of very few powerful people. Do it in a way they (the masters) will be pleased or face the consequences of loosing everything you are.

Chris, I love the decision you made, of course it all starts with a good conversation. I was a Democrat and I changed the Republican Party for many reasons, one of which is that it is impossible to talk to a Democrat these days because everyone gets offended and goes to extremes. and a division has been created... I hope we start to get to know each other better in both parties... Chris, I was one of the people who couldn't listen to you but today everything changed... keep it up we support you
