For you it might not mean nothing but that guy was Teal'c in the (old now) tv show Stargate SG1, which was a gem of my youth (30 year old millennial now). He always plays stoïc characters with his deep booming voice. Kratos was in the end his breakthrough as an actor, and it was nice to see him feel fullfilled by the recognition it earned him.
As it's your 1st God of War game and lots of people did the same, don't worry about Atreus wandering off, as he'll wait for you or comeback. You need to explore more and look around and not just follow him, as you missed a lot of resources and pickups at the start. Not just saying that to be annoying, but these all help for later in the game....🙂

I know it stands short to OG games in terms of scale but completely shitting on such good games just because you see something better on the market seems unfair. GOW for me is the perfect action adventure game keeping challenging gameplay and action set pieces in balance. Even BMW draws inspiration from it on certain instances like the menu. It hurts me to the core to see many people shitting on one of my favourite games.
