Jesse, you did an amazing job here demonstrating how this is used. I've watched alot of video's on these types of mini mills, this is hands down the best in my opinion. Excellent job.
Very nice presentation. Excellent speaking peace and clarity. Most professional presenters don't do as well as you did. Thank you I might actually buy one of these.
Hello Jesse, Firstly I would like to thank you for posting your very educational videos (I´m a woodworking learner with 57) let me congratulate you for been so clear and incisive within your explanations, its so easy to following you with any project. We learning a lot!!!. Thanks again and cheeers from Uruguay PS. I recall Jesse Stone a TV series played by Tom Selleck that I loved it)
Now i know why lumber costs so much. I love this. I'm significantly dimyself but that is time consuming... but the satisfaction must be intense! I need to upgrade my algorithms.
Thank you very much for your informative video. Cut my first board just yesterday, with alot of sweat but I did it. Think I have to buy a ripping chain 😁
Thanks so much, amazing tutorial. I have so many trees that were cut & put down, I have in my property, I was always wondering if I could use them instead of the tree company making chips this is very very useful I will attempt, great instruction where do you get the tools ( not the chainsaw) the leveling tools
Thanks Josh! I felt exactly that same way which is the reason I got a mill to start with. I have a series of videos on building a tiny timber frame using wood from the mill... maybe you might find that helpful!
@@joshc154 Boy, I worded that previous comment really poorly! What I meant to say is that I'm building another structure, documenting it, and will be adding it to this channel as it happens. It is more step-by-step building than overview though.
I am planning on using some telephone Poles on a garden project, and some people are telling me that's not a good idea, What is your opinion about me using telephone Poles in my garden, Do you recommend it or not?
Hi Luis - Sorry for the slow reply! Two thoughts come to mind regarding using telephone poles... the first is that I would be concerned about the chemical treatments they receive. I don't know for sure what is used but I would imagine it isn't healthy to be sawing. Second, be very careful to watch for any nails or other pieces of metal in the wood. Those will mess up a chisel or saw blade quite quickly!
Hi thanks for good video . I just got a Logosol for my birthday and it works like a charm . In regards to old telephone poles they are treated with creosote or at least the ones here in Norway are . A boy here when i greew up was trying to klimb a pole but didnt get far , he was sliding down (idiot btw) and got splinters in his inner tighes and hands and he got really sik . Like poisoned sik this was in the 80's so i hope he has grown smarter he he . Nice video best regards from Norway
Buy a high quality medal detector and really check the poles for screws and nails . And a very good dusk mask , you don't know what chemicals they have used for wood preservative on those poles
What is the problem with an Alaskan mill for this kind of job? I recon you would both save time with setup, and get better precision, using an Alaskan mill. Only downside I see would be that you are losing a bit of the cutting lenght, due to the mounting of the tip if the sword. That said, as a guide for the device you used, the video was good. 🙂
Thanks for sharing this video! I just found you on Instagram #tinytimberframe. I found this really helpful. Would love to learn about how to find timber when you don’t own property.
Oh yeah! Nice to meet you 😊 Actually, none of the wood I saw is from my own property. We live on less than two acres. The way I’ve come across wood is to keep my eyes open and spread the word that I’ll come over and take trees down if I can keep the logs. There is a surprisingly large number of people who have trees to take down but just need a nudge to make it happen. I’ve also heard that tree trimming services may have logs to move too... good luck!
Real in-depth review! Good job, and thank you for taking the time to demonstrate this jig!

Wow! Talk about making a silk purse out of a sow's ear....I would have turned that log into firewood in about a minute! Great job!

Отличный материал, буду использовать 3.4 квт аккумуляторную пилу для распила на доски. Цепь под 10 градусов.
Over from IG. Seen that tiny build. Real nice!
Awesome video mate, I own a timberjig and it does a good job👍👍
Great video
I’m new to cutting my own boards. What should I do to prepare a tree to be cut into boards after I drop it? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing...👍
Hello Jesse,, amazing, how can i order this tool ? and it is suitabla for any saw and any difficulty to create a 8x8 post beam?
