i was bornin the 70s but grew up in the 80 in this version i am at my camp summer of 82 july 4 th with all of my cousins anuts uncles just kicking back haveing a ball my grandmother drunk as skunk pissed off at everybody and she cannot figure out why telling me to go to hell for no reason but i love her those were good times

This song perfectly describes the town of Twin Peaks. On the surface, a sleepy little place that doesn't see much action, a vibe mirrored in the upbeat, entrancing synth. But lurking below the surface there's a dark world of crime and vice, reflected in the minor chords and mysterious baseline. It's such fantastic musical storytelling.

This song makes me sad cos it reminds me of my childhood, when my dad was still around. It was his and mum's favourite show to catch on TV. Before there was Netflix or cable TV, or smartphones. At the time I couldn't really understand what was the fuss, but I remember liking the theme song cos every time it comes up my parents would get really excited. I miss the good old days.

Nostalgia, bitterness and joyfulness at the same time. What a great deal of emotions it evokes!
When I was teaching Grade 6 I would have an exercise about writing and ask the kids to write literally anything that was in their mind, and I would play this song. The kids would get quiet in 20 seconds and for the 5 minutes they were in a writing trance. Some kids did fantastic stream of consciousness writing.

I'm old enough to remember, with great joy and wistful tears, hearing this & watching the show with my mom in the early 90s, anxious all week to discover what bizarre fate awaited Agent Cooper. I loved it so much, she special-ordered me this soundtrack from a local indie record shop for my 11th birthday; A SNES, 2 games, Nightmares & Dreamscapes by Stephen King & this CD. Still my favorite all-time birthday! I was rather young but my mom & I would watch these great shows (Twin Peaks, X-Files, Homocide Life on the Street, The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr. & so on...) back then. She was my best friend. Dad too, but I still have him, thank God. That may sound corny & yes, I had peers & school buds, but my folks have always been my best friends. I'm incredibly lucky that way & I recognize as much.
To anyone reading: Don't leave things unsaid! Dont take anything for granted. Show your love; put voice to it. Be receptive. Forgive as necessary. RIP, my best friend & the best mom a kid could wish for. She was cruelly ripped from us far too early, but the time I was blessed enough to have her in my life? Boy, did she ever make it count. Tell someone you love exactly how much you love them today. You won't regret it, whereas if you hold back? You'll regret it forever.
Another happy memory: of the 5 times I've seen The Deftones, they used this as their stage walk intro, from Around the Fur up through White Pony. Such a terrific band with impeccable taste in music themselves! ✌

It's not that good. The first episodes were good, then it spiraled out of control with aliens and ghostshit. Would've been good if it had stayed a normal criminal drama..

After finally watching the old Twin Peaks series, it's hard even describing it or comparing it to any other series. It is so many things..
bisarre, scary, haunting, funny, cheesy, weird, wonderful, beautiful, dreamy... and the feeling of it all is so unique. Usually I'd skip the intro of series but never on Twin Peaks. It's very nostalgic even if I was a newborn at its peak(!) time.
Now this song is about that strange feeling you always have but you never have time to explore, that one that answers all the questions…

Angelo is my wife's uncle and some of the stories he told me when we had a three to four hour conversation was amazing. he's an old school New Yorker that hung out with the Rat Pack and just the way he told the stories left me mesmerized. He is an amazing and wonderful man.

He's talking about "Twin Peaks: The Return." It came out in 2017 and takes place 25 years after the original show. If you haven't seen it you definitely need to. I think it's Lynch's (and Frost's) masterpiece.

I was around 40 years old when I bought a cassette of this soundtrack. Never before or since have I bought a TV soundtrack.
I was 12yrs old when I 1st heard this it was on a pure moods CD. It will always bring me back in time to the 1st summer me, my sister, & lil brother spent with my Dad in GA BEST SUMMER EVER. Still makes my heart sad.
