This theme reminds me of the scene in 'Somewhere in Time' when Richard (Christopher Reeve) goes back behind the stage to see Elise (Jane Seymour) during which she is about to have The Photo taken. Besides the wonderful music by John Barry in that scene, I always felt this would work just as well when she glances toward him and smiles. :)
I can't think of a piece of music that captures better the emotional inundation of realizing one is in love. The love itself may be illusory, short-lived, but that is irrelevant here: the absolute sincerity of the Romanticism here in this music stops the moment, steps out of the social and psychological realm and is, for want of a more precise description, pure, unfettered, atemporal feeling.
