Enjoyed this video. I’m old school and really like the Schrade. I have the Pro Hunter that I’ve had from the eighties obviously with the first generation stagolon. It’s really a great knife. Like you I use those stone pouches for items such as matches or lighter etc. I also like the old timer knifes, I also have a few of these from the eighties.

I love Schrade/Old Timer/Uncle Henry. I have a collection which I have done a video on. All of mine are from the 70’s and 80’s when they were made right here in the USA. I have the Deer Slayer 150OT, the Sharp Finger, the Drop Point and I have the Uncle Henry Golden Spike with the sharpening stone. I have the Schrade folder LB7 Bear Paw that looks like a Buck 110. I did win the Old Timer Woodsman 165OT from Caldwell company when they did a 25 Days of Christmas giveaway. I was disappointed that it wasn’t marked USA. It is a nice knife, but I miss the USA made company. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and review of the ones you have. Juddie - J & J TOA

I like the sheaths, the knives are so so ,
I can get better from Elk Ridge or Mtech
but the sheaths are good as long as your advice is taken and they get the care they need occasionally. 🐻⚔️

My brother designs beautiful knives. Plus it makes an excellent knife scabbard. 😊
I like the staglon, it's always good. Can't say that about real stag. The price of these knives makes them very appealing.

Hollow Grind is for fine cutting especially skinning, carving and slicing.
Yes a hollow ground bkade has some very good points and depending on the blade steel you can even batton a hollow grind. 🐻🔪🔪

Some of those have a sharp spine that could strike a ferro rod.

If I recall correctly Carol on The Walking Dead used a Golden Spike for a short time before the trench knife she used.
I didn't remember that, 😎.
I believe have a 1 generation pro hunter (it has the bird head pommel) and a newer golden spike.

I've always sorta been afraid to take pride in my Chinese Old Timers and Uncle Henrys but I really do like these knives. So thank you for the video - you've shown that these knives are just fine.

If you are looking to water proof, im a leather toolerin my business, get a product called resolene, you can pick up just anout anywhere. Its a liquid that looks like milk dries clear with shine. Apply with Qtip in your application, note BE CAREFULL IN APPLYING NOT TO GET ON REST OF OUTTER SHIETH iT WILL DARKEN AND ADD SHINE.
