Your videos are really inspiring me to try to breathe new life into pants that are now way too big for me. Is there a sewing machine that is beginner friendly but has the important features that will keep it useful over the long term? And this the technique to use for athleisure pants?
Just about any sewing machine will do. It really depends on your budget. I would try your local sewing machine dealer and test some out.

I have a pair of old navy pink boy friend “dockers”. They have a lapped seam. Would they be taken in similar to how you adjust jeans? Or can they be altered the same way as you demonstrate in the video?

When ever I take in the waistband and seat my pockets look funny and scrunch up ?
Anyway to fix that or do something different?
@@veroiz6672 The pockets scrunch up?! Hummmm Maybe try a different tension on your machine? You could put seam tape in the seam or a narrow strip of interfacing.

I'm thinking if you accidentally get the new fit too tight maybe it would be a good idea to sew a test seam first before cutting into the fabric. At least I can't be that confident😊 Anyway, thanx again for sharing.

Is there a hack to make low or medium rise jeans into a higher rise jean?
Yes, but you will lose length in the legs.
What if you need to take up the waist, leg width, and length?! I'm petite but with a long body. I can never find pants that fit since I have lost weight. I can wear regular skinny or straight leg.
LIke you need the waistband higher? The rest of the pant alterations I have videos on if you go search on my channel.

Genuine question. If I leave the pants fabric in but cut the waistband, how would I let it back out?
You would still have a seam there & it would never fully be the original length

thank you I struggle to find pants iam 51 inch around hips and 30 around waist its 20inch difference and I can't find any pants in this world I wanna learn to make it so I can make my own and make it for everyone else in my situation. if anyone has video to help me make pattern for body like me please share .
