Try on the pants again after you’ve fixed the waist, the length will have changed once they sit on your natural waist and you don’t want them too short…

I have at least eight pair of pants (and dozens of tops) that are two sizes too large for me because I lost weight. I will try the technique shown in your video.

That is what I am doing too, the clothes are still nice looking and good quality, would be a shame to just toss them and I need to learn the right way how to tailor them. Will watch more videos with more tricks as I get the time. I used to bring them to the tailor, but that can take weeks and it costs money of course.
So cool to be able to do this myself, instant gratification after you sew them.

Dear Alicia, I have one question 🥺 The pants that I'm trying to resize have back pockets. I fear that they will end up by the side of my hip if I cut the sides of the pant. Would you recommend shortening the crotch area to avoid this problem?
