- What happened when two of poker’s biggest trash talkers, Tony G and Nik Airball, clashed during The Million Dollar Game on the Hustler Casino Live stream? They locked horns in a huge cash game hand where Tony G had pocket aces and faced a massive raise by Nik Airball with just a ten-high straight draw! Which of the two loudmouths will be uttering a famous catchphrase and dragging in the pot?
When you are playing deep stacked poker, is it not advised to 4-bet very frequently, especially with hands like jacks or queens. Better candidates to 4-bet with are aces or kings for your premium holdings, and ace-x suited or king-x suited to build your bluffs from.
Nik Airball is an investment banker and an amateur poker player, he occasionally plays at The Lodge Card Club but mainly plays on the Hustler Casino Live poker stream. He will play any stakes, and is often involved in heated table talk with the other poker players. Nik Airball is almost fluent in Mandarin, engaging in table talk with many Mandarin-speaking poker players. He often voices his strong opinions about current trends, topics and scandals in the poker world on social media and poker podcasts.
Antanas Guoga or, more commonly known as Tony G is a Lithuanian-Australian businessman and also a part-time professional poker player. Tony G has played on many live poker streams throughout the years such as: Poker After Dark, High Stakes Poker, The Big Game, and many more. He is known for his theatrics at the table and over the top celebrations. His most famous quote is “On Your Bike” when he stacks an opponent.
Hustler Casino Live is a full-scale, high-value poker production. Close to a million dollars was spent transforming the casino’s high-limit poker room, the Crystal Room, into the set of this new state-of-the-art live show. Hustler Casino Live looks more like coverage of a TV broadcast sporting event and appeals to those beyond the poker community. Unscripted and unedited, they host regular poker streams such as ‘Max Pain Monday’ and ‘Thirsty Thursday’. Some of the most notable poker players to have appeared on the show are Phil Ivey ‘The Tiger Woods of Poker’ ‘RaiseOnce’, Tom Dwan ’durrrr’, Phil Hellmuth ‘The Poker Brat’, Chris Moneymaker, Doug Polk ‘WCGRider, Garrett Adelstein ‘Gman’, Tony Guoga ‘Tony G’ and many more.
This hand occurred during the highly anticipated $1,000,000 minimum buy-in cash game on the Hustler Casino Live stream. It had an array of professionals and businessmen competing against one another. Some of the players that played in this game were Doug Polk, Tom Dwan, Tony G, Rampage, Wesley, Stanley Tang, Nik Airball, Huss, J.R., Double M, Blank Check Ben, Brandon Steven, Charles, and Rob Yong
🔍 Preflop:
Huss raises to $6,000 from under-the-gun +1 with pocket queens. Nik Airball calls on the button with T9 of diamonds before Tony G squeezes to $40,000 from the big blind with his pocket aces. Huss calls with his premium pocket pair, and Nik calls with his suited connector. They head to the flop three-way.
💸 Flop - Kh 8c 7s:
The king-high rainbow flop falls, and Tony G continuation bets for $40,000. Huss calls with his queens, but Airball takes the aggressive line with his open-ended straight draw by raising to $150,000. Tony G isn’t going anywhere with his pocket rockets and calls to see the turn, but Huss correctly folds his ladies, and they now head to the turn heads-up.
💣 Turn - 6c:
The 6 of clubs on the turn brings a potential backdoor flush draw. After Tony G checks with his aces, Nik Airball puts out a bet of $225,000, having hit one of the cards he needs to turn the nut straight and have Tony G drawing dead.
How will Tony G respond to this bet? He has the best starting hand in poker! Will he fold, call, or raise? You have to watch this entire poker video to see the result.
You should stay and watch the ending to see how the two trash talkers react to each other after the hand!

Would YOU have been able to fold pocket aces here? 🧐
Absolutely not lmao
This is why I always don't understand how people play As. At least he made a big bet but should have made a bigger bet. People seem to think As are the absolute nuts. And what's worse is that they let a turn card hit and still think they have the absolute nuts.
I know I suck at poker, but if I have As I'm all in pre-flop. Eff it. Or at a minimum a gigantic bet that makes 10-9 fold.
Very hard to fold 9 10 when QQ calls. Closing the action very deep. @YTSparty
It's hard to fold AA vs Nick A. But it's a bluff catcher. However, he bluffs. Alot. I probably would have jammed turn. Nick doesn't have KK. I have equity vs 2 pair. I'm thin vs a set. But he over calls w draws. So I'd rather him call to see the 6 than let him set the price. He raises bc he has fold equity and can improve. Id rather make him pay to chase
Against Airball this is a legendary fold.
This, to me, is always going to be the most embarrassing Nik Airball hand. All those horrible punts were supposed to serve a purpose -- that in this situation, you get paid. And he still can't get paid.
Exactly. Hero fold against a habitual bluffer is as tough as it gets. Tony G gets an A+.
Epic lay down, Nick embarrassed himself here
It’s Tony G he’s on a different level than airball
I got to admit.... against him.... I call turn n call river.... he bluffs with so much trash, I got to give Tony credit, great lay down
Airball cementing his spot as the biggest ahole on the stream.
It's Tony's money. He wants to leave, who is to say he can't? If HCL has a problem with it, then don't invite him back.
They won't. It was agreed on to play the whole stream unless he was broke.
@@davidcrosby3125 Their loss.
Tubby Airball could laugh and prick all he wants...unlike Tony G he would have NEVER been able in that spot to fold aces so what's he to be proud of, being a lucky goof!?
While that's true, Tony G still bitched out.
100% Tony G absolute player 😎 and a proper top man
True of course but Tony mocked others in the same way in the past so should take it as well.
Looks like he did after he calmed down. Of course the hand was far from crazy and actually pretty standard. Also Tony played fine of course (in this hand, haven't seek the rest of his play) so he didn't let the tilt make him play poorly.
@@wachtwoord5796 But Tony also tries to be nice too, he mixes it up between tilting opponents and being buddy-buddy. Airball, apparently up until recently, just went full-bore trying to piss people off and that makes others avoid you in the future. It's why he went to the Lodge, a more relaxed and friendly club, to try and clean-up his image. (And because it was practically the only stream where he could get high-stakes action, due to Doug's clean reputation.)
He looks tired even though he likes the game....he just wanted to go back to the room and sleep...🤔
Tony G made a great fold and left when he needed to. That is strong poker. Have the brains to know when you aren´t having fun. It happens.
Excellent fold against that clown. Airball got a dream board but found a way to win the minimum.
right on bro, well said.
FACTS!!!
you can leave any cash poker table at any time for sure. Tony has been around big/private games enough to know when shenanigans are afoot so I like that he trusted his instincts.
Only if he loses he throws a tantrum and claims shenanigans are afoot. If he wins, he stays.
@@larrywheels762 he just got some of his own medicine, he used to do that for year to others!
@@larrywheels762 this isn’t exactly true. I’ve seen him lose many hands and he’s almost always lost with grace. He’s more obnoxious when he wins than when he loses.
@larrywheels762 No he has lost alot. Watch the big game where we got beat for a lot. I wouldn't have a problem with Tony leaving. But Nick is a douche and I wouldn't want to play with him again. I dint care of they don't like it. If I think there's something going on, I'm not coming back. And this happens a lot of this Hustler bullshit.
Yeah I love Tony no matter what. Look up the Premier Poker League. He was on their a lot. Him arguing and ribbing the late great Devilfish, also Phil. Really funny. I remember when on the Big Game we was done a lot of money, and when he was still losing, here comes with complaining about having a bad beat and calling Tony the worst player at the table and Daniel chirps in and just mentions to Phil he's losing big time and still having a good time. So Phil still shows those little explosions, but it isn't as bad as it used to be.
Tony G felt the fix was in, maybe it was.
It most certainly was, just watch Airball, he eyes up Tony from the start of the hand, zero emotions on the turn like he expected it, this is not poker, they are cheating, still.
I've always suspected that the game is rigged
This hand was 100% rigged af. They wanted a reaction from the Tony G & they got it.. fkn dirtbags
is this not the same place that had the J-4 Robbie incident? Tony even says "setup" like twice.
@@jaken.6112holy shit expert analysis with concrete irrefutable facts, you’re onto something
tony isn't the maniac everyone seems to think he is. Every time i see him play a hand on TV it's a good hand.
Hes a politician in his country which is why he doesn't play much & was gone for many years.
He knows this. Having the maniac image is very profitable.
@@johngreen7726really? In Australia? What party was he part of? Was he in on the Covid fascism with their insane confinement camps for dissenters?
It was just because Phil Helmuth called him a maniac
Tony G's fold is amazing.
That's why Tony G is one of the best he can smell a rat
He's a bigger rat than nick hairball. Lol
Plus he's got the heaaaarrrt and commitment to de game
If you’re losing big like Tony was then leaving early shouldn’t be an issue. Leaving early a winner or close to even in any invite game will not get you invited back
tony won nearly 500k all week. he was up 300k after the fold
who cares about being invited back to hcl? shady bullshyt league. Tony G ain't in it for the money, you can tell he just misses poker.
Anyone who plays hustler casino for big money after that scandal that showed scam, bad decision.
I actually had the chance to go play at hustler; then before I drove over. I was like wait; those people are mean; I’m just giving mean people my
Money. I’m saying mean cause anything else and TH-cam blocks it.
The predominance of the evidence shows that there is without doubt insider collusion. An employees desk was parked in front of the live feed! Heads should roll.
You can’t talk to my Boy Tony G like that. He can smell the bs a mile away.
Unless you have a contract to stay for a period of time, no game can force you to stay. If my head is not in the game, I am leaving. Why waste money?
I agree but I believe for this the buy-in was $1 mil so they already had paid everything up front. So it's pretty crazy for Tony to abandon the rest of his stack, but it makes sense that he didn't want to play anymore.
@@ConfusedGeriatric He's not abandoning anything. If he leaves, he brings his cash with him. The consequence is that he may not get invited back but, as was the case of Peter leaving after WINNING over a mil, there's not much risk of being black listed for that.
Poker is the only endeavor where the participants pay all or most of the bills, yet they sometimes face pressure to act against their interests. There is no legit rationale where a player can't come and go when he wants. I'm sure some producers or game runners might have a problem with that, but who cares? Unless they're paying sizable money for a player showing up, a player is free to leave whenever.
“can’t no one compel another man to engage in recreation.” ~ Buster Scruggs
should have been a full movie.
You can leave a poker game whenever you want. Ppl gotta chill. It’s his money
Kudos to Airball for taking it that well after gotten owned. If someone snapfolds AA after I turn a straight, I‘d be tilting pretty hard 😬😬😬
Phil Helmuth rolling with laughter right now. 🤣🤣🤣
Why? Tony G played the better poker in this hand & was the better man after it.
They tried to clown on the master & got schooled.
You changed my life man. Been delved in study for months mostly all with your teachings. I’ve turned $2,400 into $4,300 in 56 HRS of play at 1/2. You’re the 🐐
$33 an hour is high for 1/2. You are going thru some run good. You can expect to be closer to $10 to $15 an hour at 1/2. Watch out for upcoming downswing.
What are you using to study?
You’re playing 1/2…
Lol, you will lose all your money, bro. You're are basically on a luckstreak and it will end and you will get days of bad beats. Average 1/2 game is about 14-17 a hr if you are on your game and running decent.
53 hrs isn’t a big enough sample size to say you’re winning. Variance will find you soon.
Airball could have gotten sooo much more value IMO
This shows how bad of a player Airball is. He bluffs off his chips constantly yet people find folds when he actually has it
Very sus. 10-9 suited calling a 3-bet pre-flop was odd. Raising on a straight draw? Extremely sus, especially with Tony showing strength like he did. Tony could smell the rat. Legend. It was a setup hand clearly.
An open ended is worth a raise plus it just looks like he's doing his normal thing tbh
This hand does feel sus though
Aces get cracked every day it boils down to can you lay down just one pair on that board vs a ahole.
I wouldn't trust that casino if my bank account was endless.
Tony should absolutely be able to leave at any point unless there was some kind of agreement on a minimum time he had to play.
There is no problem with leaving the poker table at any time for any reason. Like u said, there may be reprecussions down the road
Terrible call by Huss on the flop, he literally just torched $40k. As soon as the flop shows a higher card, you need to fold there with the original aggressor continuation betting AND someone to act behind as well. I know it's easy being an armchair critic but these guys should really be good enough to make folds like that in this situation.
The fact that airball said “on your bike” makes this a fantastic story. It’s like Persson’s smack talk to Hellmuth in their first heads-up match, “a taste of their own medicine” if you will
It would be a fantastic story if he deserved that pot. Truth is he is a talentless hack.
This hand is rigged af to get a reaction from Tony for the views.
That 😂😂 was my favorite moment of that stream 😂...it stays iconic...
Airball is referencing an old game when Tony G busted Perry at some world event. "Bring on the Russians"
@@kylominylo we know, that’s why it’s funny
I think it’s perfectly fine to quit at any time. But especially if your head is not right. If getting your AA cracked puts you on tilt and you know it will, take a break or walk. Not saying that’s what happened here. That said, maybe you shouldn’t be at this game if you get tilted that way!
Airball is the modern day Mike Matusow, except he’s not as good a payer. I wouldn’t play there because weird stuff happens. I would love to play Airball though, he’s really not very good, and the rear naked choke is fun!
U should never leave a steam event AA gets cracked alot i have played poker 20 years u get use to it
Is the game being played in the US-free to choose.
Imo you can leave the table whenever you want, stream game or not. I don’t hit and run but idc if someone does. It’s not my place to tell another what to do with their money while at the table.
Amen!
Who cares if he quit? It was a beautiful fold, he played the hand perfectly, and left graciously.
I remember watching this stream and recall tony saying he was going to be leaving early regardless. There was also talks of how nik wanted to tilt tony so I believe tony played up the reaction for nik and for the stream
he made a good fold but its his choice tbh any legit poker player shouldn’t play in this game anyway
I wish the guy in the little corner screen would shut up and let the announcers do their job.
The best takes i have seen in the comments and in the video are 1.) He is not under contract or getting paid and 2.) He was down a lot at this moment. Being down a lot at this moment makes it OK for me, you can even invite him back. It would be truly bad if he was up or around even.
The way that hand was played 3 handed seems like the perfect set up, for someone to loose 1’000’000,- $
Tony my G felt the set up, understood it’s time to ✈️
You have to understand poker it’s not only ranges and math it becomes an instinct like breathing and for him to fold aces on that spot and say that it feels fixed it’s because it does remember not everybody could or would fold aces in that spot getting 3 to 1 vs a players that has it 50% and bluffs 50% so his instinct was on spot
'He call the raise with T9 honey!!'
Running bad is a part of poker. Tony could have potentially won the pot if he made it like 500-600k on flop after Airballs's raise but Airball may have called or jammed so they could have ran it twice. AA and KK can be difficult to play if you are scared money or incredibly deep like in this super high stakes game.
this happened a year ago ....lol
Tony G Hellmuth, on his bike! Funny to see him cyring, after all the mockery he's made of other players.
He looked like a hurricane victim, very rough. He's sucked up like a meth addict.
It is better to BE humble, than to be HUMBLED.
Probably already know, but Huss who has a poor reputation in Aus for scamming winners in his private poker club, said "if Tony 3 bets wider pre he stacks me" but Tony 3 bet huge. Nik raising flop after that much aggression with such a weak draw looked like a set up and Huss calling to sandwich it in.
Wesley always positions his chair in a curious way. whos cards is he trying to see ? his or the person to his left?🤔👀👁
bro looks like he got that double dose of ozempic
Im pretty sure he came back after that hand, or so it looked that way in the HCL clip
Great fold by tony. Too bad he couldnt keep his shit together after and get it all back
What a sick laydown though
The longer I play this game and finally discovered the one secret to be a winning poker is to
Tony G is a legend in poker he can do what he wants
Tony is very much a tournament style player as opposed to cash. Just too much variability that's not in his control which probably makes him frustrated.
can someone tell me what huss says at 9:00 it sounds like "if he 3 bet the losing wider fraizer...." huh ?
if he 3bets a little wider pre...
I felted a guy like Nik Airball at Aria. Always nice to get the last laugh.
Yes. I would have been able to fold them. Also how is he not used to that level of very basic variance?
Crazy laydown in a cashgame. Getting almost 2 1/2 to 1 too
They need Tony more than Tony needs them... that's the hard truth
Yes. I think he was very very smart to quit because he was on severe tilt and he would've eventually lost everything if he continued with his mindset.
"I folded Aces" Yah, and it was a good fold...
Yeah, couldn’t happen to a nicer guy… Tony G is a troll, getting trash talked on the way out should be expected. That said, brilliant lay down by Tony, from where I sit, the C bet of 40k was the only place I think he could have played it differently, basically gave the right odds for Nick to continue, not that Nick is going to fold even if the odds aren’t right.
It seems weird when guys I never heard ever claim of cheating tend to always end up here and seeming like the deck is rigged. Not in favor of anyone but to bring more action
He’s a true legend of the game because he was on TV and mouthed off? Lot of legends of the game are totally broke or in debt….legends!
All he had to do, was to tank like 10-15sec before making the turn bet and he would've made at least 255k more off Tony
What a waste of a cooler
Nik has a reputation as a bluffer so he thought he could use that to reel in Tony G but Tony G isn't a regular on the stream which may have made it easier to realize he was really beat.
Folding premiums is a big hole in my game, but...
It's the one time Nik Airball was actually entertaining. Most of the time he's unbelievably annoying. Tony G will always get an invite to play at the games. He's as entertaining as hell. Just watched one Triton series with him and one without him. The one without him is almost unwatchable.
Thank you..I don't understand the hate.."we got ourselves a game " when rampage bluffed 😂😂 and "on your bike Tony " will always be iconic to me
Tony G had every right to walk up and leave even before that cooler. Respect for not dealing with any side games
Airball is playing with Backers money. He calls hands he shouldn't because it's not his money.
The ugly side of TV internet poker. That's why Toni G said this is not normal. If you pay me and give me a mill $$ then you can say I shouldn't quit.
Airballs a clown - chuckle chuckle goofball!
Tony G just got tilted and wanted to leave. That's a lot different than someone who just wins a 1.2mil pot, then racks up (and takes their friend with them) to go play at a private game.
One situation is not like the other...
There's always some shady shit happening in the Hustler Live games. Always.
Props to Nik for needling Tony. I don't know anything about Tony but he comes across to me as someone possibly mobbed up and those east euro syndicates can be petty and violent.
His Australian
You have a pretty wild imagination mate. Maybe calm down on the movies ey?
also Nik is a hack playing with daddy's money .. this hand was clearly fixed to get a reaction from Tony for them sweet YT views.
@@jamaicanbobsledteam753 Hand wasn't fixed dummy. And I come from a place with all kinds of gangsters and, if I were to be real, Tony G is definitely mobbed up.
@@Will_Moffett you may be right on Tony, but this hustler place is the same venue that the J-4 Robbie hand "incident" happened. it seems like every year they have a big drama and get noticed.
Great check, great lay down Tony
Of course it’s okay - he’s not feeling it.
He is only getting the same as he dishes out. Good job
He should really be mad at Huss, weird line to take, no reraise preflop, no reraise on the flop? He reraises preflop airball is out of that hand. Not sure why he would even play QQ in that spot if he was going to play it like that.
Tony G acting like his arch nemesis The Poker Brat
If you believe a game might be set up, you leave. If you don't like the game, you leave. If the people or something happening on the night is making you uncomfortable, you leave. What he did was reasonable, no one can tell you that you have to stay. Others can be pressured into this because they NEED the stream, they need to be invited back. Tony doesn't.
I think Nik was trying to play it off like "oh i got the better of him" because he was actually quite upset that after all his work to build an image that makes people play these hands for big money, Tony G could still see through it, not pay him off and then just leave without anyone being able to pressure him into staying while being unhappy with the game and thus being more likely to make bad decisions. And there's nothing Nik could do about it.
This seems to be the Nik Airball strategy. Get people into games they can't leave and just be so unlikeable that it makes people want to leave so much that they'd rather go broke than stay.
Of course its ok, they surely have backups to fill his seat and its his own money to do with what he pleases
never see Wes there anymore either.....not sure what happened
They can't force anyone to stay, but good luck getting invited back if you do something like this.
Standard happens several times a day online
I don't think Tony G is too worried about not getting invited back to HCL. He can play in as many nosebleed stakes games as he likes.
turning tony g into phil hellmuth is priceless
I think Tony G wasn't even feeling it, he's usually very chatty and I think he just wasn't feeling good to begin. So he was just looking for a way out 😢. You gettin good Tony G. Keep it up,
Yeah he can get up and leave, but he should also never be invited back to this particular stream, and other streams should strongly consider if they want to book a spot for him on their stream in the future.
Airball should check the turn. Just scared Tony off with that huge bet. Then he starts trying to needle him in his high pitched voice 😂 what a dork
Tony's looking like time (or poker) is wearing him out...
Dealers are banned from laughing
On your bike Tony!! How can people hate Airball? He's awesome.
Act like you've lost a hand before.
He didn't lost the hand. He folded aces because he knew exactly when & how he was beat.
Go learn some real poker kid.
I've folded pocket aces many times.
Nick made Tony speak Chinese for a second 😂😂😂
Considering how they ran the rest of the game I don’t think it really matters. Doesn’t seem like it was ran all that great for a million dollar cash game.
very old post, Wesley is BROKE for a long time. EVERYTHING GONE😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This was years ago. Why are kids still posting videos about this? Blocked for fake
If he had a set, he would stick. The possibilities of others having straight are highly. This where big name players don't like to play with gamblers. To them you should fold. Unlike the old days that was common. What happens they got bullied? Now a days new players have the cash, the backing and are aggressive in betting. They don't fold that quickly like before. The once was bullied now bullies the bully. There are pros and cons for Poker players and Gamblers. Both compliments each others play style. In the end, the player with a bigger stack of chips will always have the advantage.
We've all been there
It looked to me like Huss showed his Q’s on his laydown. Just sayin….
Tony g acts crazy, but can’t question his skills. Clearly better than Phil hellmuthe. As he said on the poker stars big game
