Way over priced because of name. 3 sofas in living room in 36 years here. I agree with furniture being overpriced. Go to Marshalls and Homegoods for very similar items
My friend wants to go to Waco . So we t going to do a girls trip . But I have mapped out some small town that we are going to hit up .and yes price matters . If I love it I carry it stroud fora bit while I look at other thing . If I’m not fully over joyed by the time I’m done shopping back it goes . I try to not fall for my omg I have to have it.i know my weakness so I wait a bit before I buy .
I live 2 hours away from Waco and I have been disappointed several times by magnolia because pretty much most of their products are made in china (even a basic mug that could be made in Texas or USA in general) despite how expensive everything is. I wish they would support small businesses around their town, state or country.
The fact that their things aren't American-made was very disappointing. I knew prices were going to be high because of their popularity, but way too high for things made in China.
I live about 3 hours from Waco. I’ve been to Magnolia 4 times and watched it evolve over the years. Magnolia Table has always been a great experience and I love the market attached to it. We have also enjoyed purchasing items from the bakery. I have a few items from the main store that I love (a couple of mugs, a marble striped cutting board, cookbooks etc) and of course I have a couple of tees too. For me Waco has always been a fun experience! There are other great stores in Waco to check out besides Magnolia. However the BEST thing to do while you are in Waco, is to take a Waco Tour! You will be so surprised at how fun and informative it actually is!!! God Bless Texas and God Bless All Y’all❣️🤠
I visited Magnolia Market a couple years ago with my sister. We had a great time wandering around, purchasing from the food trucks and just enjoying the day. I purchased a t-shirt and a refrigerator magnet. The home decor items were very expensive and I was very disappointed that the majority of the items were imported from overseas.
You are right on target, I love Johanna Gains and her design and show. However he store is very pricy and it’s the name brand that you are purchasing. For a frugal shopper it isn’t the place to shop but to get ideas. Hugs and love from Texas.
Hi Leslie, I went to Waco back during Fixer Upper's second season on tv. My mom was a huge fan and couldn't stop talking about Joanna and Waco. It was almost as exciting for her as going to Italy, maybe even better 😂. Anyway, we flew there from New York in January and they had never had such cold, slushy weather before. They only had the small Magnolia store at that time and I was shocked by the prices. For a single stem of the cotton buds it was $20! My mom was very disappointed. She didn't buy anything, but we did go all over Waco and had such a blast. As far as buying furniture goes, I do buy furniture that is classic, well made and not trendy. I hate the current trend of painting beautiful wood with chalk paint. 🤮 If I want to add trendy elements I go to TJMaxx or Home Goods just for accessories.
Home Goods, Home sense, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Target in store and online and Walmart in store but you need to go on their website you would be shocked 😲 at the home accessories/furniture pieces they sell. I definitely go crazy at Amazon and Michael's too.
Hahaha, at 70 yrs young most of my furniture has gone by the wayside. I love to decorate, change things up all the time. I feel it helps me keep a young mind and fresh attitude. So glad I found your channel my dear.
I love the vases you purchased! I can see you using those for years of fun decorating. Plus every time you see him you'll remember the good time that you had with Jason and that fun trip down to Waco. You brought up a great point intentional purchases.
I love Chip and Joanna too but no way would I spend the money for their items. I just can not justify their prices. Glad y’all got to go and see it all and share it with us 🥰❤️
I've had the same sofa and recliner for 30 years! I never change my furniture. I feel kind of sad that we have such a throw away culture, and things are made cheaply, then end up over flowing our landfills! I try to keep everything as long as it is still useable, even clothes! By the time I throw something away, it is unusable. I'm a minimalist as well, so I keep the house clutter free and spacious with very few decorations. Love your videos! Always enjoy watching! :)
Lynn, we are of like minds! I didn't read your comments until after I posted mine. Altho I'm not a minimalist, I agree with you on not wasting money. We've lost fantastic furniture companies in this country because of the disposable mentality.😥
I would love to be able to keep a sofa for 30 years but ours just don't last that long. I don't just change out out the fun of it but when it is broken down we get new obviously.
Sadly I wish our sofas and chairs lasted that long.Longest time we had a sofa was for 12 years. Now we have had our bedroom furniture since 1996. Ive refinished it and now am painting and distressing it because its solid wood and we still like it. We have had our dining table and chairs since 2005.
My 2 daughter in laws and I went to Waco in 2019. We live in Vancouver, Canada and flew to Dallas. We drove to Waco from there and went to Magnolia Table, and her shop, and especially enjoyed the cupcakes at the bakery. We also took the tour that takes you through Waco showing some of her homes she’s fixed up. I highly recommend the tour. We are still not allowed to cross the border but if restrictions are removed we’d love to visit there again.
Thanks for your honestly!!! I just upgraded my living room furniture, after 30 years. So I am being super careful how I decorate. Good quality couch, now to accessorize !!! Let the fun begin!!!
I’m going with a group of 14 ladies the end of September and I’ve had a feeling it would be this way. I’m not an over the top Magnolia fan but the girls are coming from all over the country and we’re just excited to be able to spend a weekend together, go sightseeing, and eat some great food! Thanks for the honest review! I have a feeling I won’t want to splurge on too many items but it will be fun to look!
I don't understand why they choose to charge so much. It's very disappointing and you go away feeling down because their stuff is so overpriced that only a certain income household can afford to buy. It would be great if Magnolia Market would have prices that most everyone can afford and put in their homes. Thanks for your input, I think you were very fair in your comment. From Texas and no I won't be going. I've heard too many people say the same thing!
I totally agree. My first time there was on a Saturday. We waited in line to get in….at opening time! The workers said it clears out later in the day, so I visited again about 4PM, with less people. But also less of some stuff! I was glad I had purchased the things I wanted when I was there earlier! Not cheap prices, but they are a good brand, so I will support them. They stand for things I agree with….much like Hobby Lobby. But, I do go back any chance I can! It’s all about the experience!
What a beautiful tan you have, Leslie! For me, buying furniture is all about how comfortable it is and that usually means it’s pricier. But yes, that means I will keep it for a long time, for the life of the piece probably. Also, I would never buy a couch online. I would need to sit on it first to see if I like how it feels.
You are def paying for the name. I buy good furniture pieces but even they get stale after years! Changing things out once in awhile gives you freshness and makes your abode "new again". Thanks for the video and your honest review, love your channel
I too like Chip and Joanna Gaines. I was in Texas for a week and had to drive past Waco so I decided to stop and see the Silos. I was there in the beginning of May. It was pretty much what I thought it was going to be. I had a smoothie while I was there because it was pretty hot out. I stayed about 1 1/2 hours and was done. Although it was nice to walk around, I didn’t feel really pulled to buy anything. I guess I figured if I really wanted anything I could go to target or order online. My honest overall opinion is, if your in the area and you want to stop by, go for it, but I definitely would not make a special trip just to go there. Chip and Joanna from what I understand don’t even live in Waco. They live outside of it. In Crawford I think. It’s up to you what you decide , I just think it’s not something to go out of your way for. No diss to the Gaines I think they are wonderful ! I Love her show on the discovery channel. Just being honest with everyone.
Leslie, I got to visit in 2019 in the heat of the summer, as well. I am a San Antonio native and my sister is from Austin..All I talked about was visiting MM. She was sweet enough to drive us both there for our excursion and in hopes of finding some items for our homes. In all honesty, it was not worth the drive and we are Texans. The MH is insultingly expensive. Many of the items are made in China and can be purchased at HL, TJ Max, Ross and Marshall’s for a 1/3 of the price. And believe me, we don’t have a problem spending money but it’s got to be worth it. So, if you are traveling to Waco be prepared to be disappointed!!! I would not recommend traveling to if you are not within 100 miles. Not worth the trip. Very disappointed!!!
We went a couple years ago and was very disappointed. We are happy we went but we did not buy anything except for tea and cupcakes. The cupcakes were expensive but we needed a snack😊. I love to decorate but I have found one doesn’t have to spend big bucks to have a beautiful home.
Your right we’ve been married 51 years and I’ve had 6 or 7 different couches. I love the way Joanna decorates but I could never afford to pay that much for decor. I love the way you decorate and I believe at a much more affordable.
The restaurant is fantastic. Check the times. They open early and close early. I have blanked the name of the place...AArrgghhh! The bakery was also fun! I bought a tea towel with a sunflower on it...That was it. We toured Waco, learning about it's history and the Fixer Upper homes. We walked along the river and saw the wonderful sculptures. The tribute to the WWII veteran was awe inspiring. There is so much more to Waco than only the Magnolia Market. Yes, our trip revolved around the experience of Magnolia Market but the town is a fun small city with a lot of history.
Sooo glad you both made it home safe and sound. I sure you had a wonderful time. We all know Joanna has great taste and love to copy it. So picked up great ideas I bet. I do love the wooden vases buttttt too expensive. I bet you could dupe them. Well I see alot of future shows. Love and welcome home rested and happy.
Thanks for the fun review! I'll probably never go myself so I enjoyed hearing about your experience. I would say those prices were high but not shocking. That first wooden vase I guessed $29 at Target, $59 at Magnolia, so I wasn't too far off. Spending a little more than usual at a special destination can be part of the fun!
Great video! I have not been able to go yet, but my husband and I had to go to Austin from DFW several times a year, and I DREADED the drive. Traffic on I-35 is awful! I am a big fan of the Gains and wish the best from them, and I hope to go to Magnolia Market soon. You chose some great items and hopefully you will remember the positive parts of your travels. God bless.
I’m sure it would be a fun day trip but WOW it is expensive! You are definitely paying for the name. We keep our couches for years until they get more “worn in” , then replace
Thank you for this! I’ve wondered about prices and crowds. My husband used to work in that area and kept telling me he thought the prices were on the high side. As far as furniture, I’m a buy what fits the budget kinda person. We have grown kids; the baby is a senior in high school, my 23 year old daughter lives with us due to a brain injury, the oldest is stationed in Hawaii and pets. If I paid 5,000 for anything and it accidentally got spilled on or peed on ( aging pets) I’d be a mess! I’m truly a kid of the 80’s though my Mom has had the same furniture forever and it’s pristine. We were petrified to sit on the “good” living room furniture, lol.
If it’s a timeless style and it’s a key piece of furniture we have splurged just a few times. Those pieces we’ve had for 18years so far. But I love a good bargain and with all our other piece’s we’ve dressed our home from estate sales, Facebook market, 2nd hand stores and family heirlooms.
Wow...you hit the nail on the head! The only thing I bought was a mug so I could say I had been there...my husband did by the metal sign that said "TODAY IS A GOOD DAY FOR A GOOD DAY" because I refused to pay the price. One question tho...we traveled there in our motor home so I know you can stop and stay at will. Unless you were on a tight schedule, why did you not stop over-night and chill. 13 hours is a long time to be on the road.
Thanks for the pointers. It is understandable to do things on a vacation that you wouldn't do at home, I think we are in a zone on vacation and reality hits at home. You shouldn't regret or it ruins the moments. I'm in Florida and when people vacation in the summer at the theme parks it's crazy, never... there's a certain time for residents who wouldn't dream of going in the summer.
I live in Ft. Worth. I am 70 miles north of Waco and drive thru Waco several times a year to go see my daughter in Austin. I decided to check out the market this past March since I was going to Austin. It was about 8:45 am and the lines were wrapped around the block. Long lines! I didn't bother so I continued on to Austin. I would never stand in lines like that to buy something. It was crazy.
Hi Leslie! I absolutely agree we like to change things up more these days and accessories are an absolute must and a great way to change and update !!!! You got some great items. Your love of sweet tea always makes me smile 😃😊!!!
Thanks for the honest review. It is disappointing that they charge so much for their products. I was a big fan pre-return to TV. I appreciate their drive to grow their brand, but they are going to over saturate themselves. Don't get me started on Magnolia Network. Teaming up with Discovery to pay even more $$$ to watch their TV shows. Nope. Again, thanks! Fellow military here - AF retired. ☺️
Loved this review! I loved your items and you are blessed to be able to buy several things. I went, walked the grounds and got my (bad) picture in front of the silos. I didn’t go into any of the stores, except the furniture one. One reason we didn’t go into the stores was so I WOULDNT buy anything, ha! My husband is not a shopper or spender, and the stores looked really tiny! I was surprised! I didn’t know what store to go into! We did walk away with six delicious cupcakes though! 🤩
Great video. I also traveled out there with my sister from New Mexico back in May of 2019 for my birthday and met my cousin who flew in from Illinois. We flew there and stayed at a hotel. It was very hot and humid, in NM it's hot but not humid so it makes a difference. It was really just for the experience I'd say. It was pretty much packed all the whole time. Overall it was a nice trip for us but I don't think I need to go again. I bought a t-shirt, I don't remember my sister buying anything, she bought a candle. The lines were long, didn't get into the bakery but took good pictures.
I went to Magnolia Farms in November 19' and it was amazing.. I took photo's, enjoyed the town , went to thrift stores and all the shops in town and enjoyed sweets from the bakery.. You do not have to spend much money to enjoy this amazing place and town, but if you have the money and want to have fun go for it.. :) .. Other wise, just enjoy the surroundings, and take pics for inspiration and shop out in town. The free trolley is nice too. Stops all over routes thru out town, and Waco has a ton of nice places to add the Farmhouse charm with out buying the farm.. :)
Have you been to First Monday at Canton, Texas? Again I'm from Texas and it is too hot unless it is cool autumn or early spring. You nerd to go on Thursday or Friday. It has changed A lot. They have built pavilions so.all booths don't have to be out on the weather. Usually you will find a lot of goodies to spend your money on. It is wise to take a cart to put your purchases in. Mine was a fold up almost flat one.. Also wear comfy shoes and clothing. My favorite time to go was November..cool crisp mornings and pleasant afternoons.
My husband, sister I went to Waco. We will not be returning. Not anything special but I do enjoy my metal sign from J.B. Everything made in China and it is a tourist rip off. Go to Laurel Miss. I'll loved it.
I work too hard for my money to spend it on something that I could find a less expensive alternative. I would love to go there in the Fall one year to see the area.
I'm hoping now that things are opening up Joanne will have her warehouse sale. That's the time to buy. I go down there every once in awhile. Only a few blocks from me.
Your assessment of Magnolia is right on. I feel the same way you do. Price tag on everything is much higher than it should be. Consumers and fans are definitely paying the price of their celebrity. After I went several years ago, I sent them a response and told them their prices were too high. Sounds like that went in one of their ears and out the other, ha, ha cause nothings changed since.
I live a about 4 hours away and have been several times with my girlfriends. It’s a great getaway place…fun to look and get ideas. We don’t really buy much. It’s overpriced and not always the best quality. March or October are our favorite times to go. I must say Waco had several other great shopping spots tho and that makes the trip well worth it! Plus the food trucks, bakery and magnolia table have great food!! The fun definitely comes from being with my friends…and it’s an enjoyable experience!
I loved watching The TV show fixer-upper. We live in Ontario Canada and I told my husband when we retired we should go to Waco Texas to the Silos. We both officially retired in November 2020 but COVID has kept us home😞 I appreciate your honest review , I probably won’t be buying anything because the exchange rate on our money is quite poor. I am like you, I would like to have the experience of seeing the Silo and Magnolia homes. It is unfortunate that I cannot stream their latest shows in Ontario. We have travelled through the United States East Coast as far south as Florida in our Class B RV. Our future plans once the world opens up is to travel to Texas , Arizona and head up to British Columbia. Thanks for your informative video….. I have never drank sweet tea so I will have to check it out ❤️🤣❤️
I live in Houston and all my friends that have gone (we never go anywhere in the summer here--it's miserable) said the same thing...prices unbelievable. I don't care for her style and I do keep my furniture for a LONG time (I don't care what the "in" thing is, I buy what I like and keep it). They usually go because there are interesting buildings and things to see and experience. I also heard their restaurant has wonderful food. I would like to go for the experience.
Hi from W PA. Our son and his family live in Midlothian, TX, about a hour north of Waco. We got to see Magnolia March of 2020. We went on a Monday and it was somewhat busy but waited in line to check out. We ate lunch but that was a little expensive too. It started to rain so we only stayed a couple of hours. We fly so had to be careful what I bought so it would fit in my 🧳. I really enjoy your channel and your hubby is funny. 😁😁😁😁
Some people when they travel buy tshirts and tourist stuff. When I travel I like to buy things I like as a remembrance from the trip. I’ve been twice and it will hold me..so glad I got to go though.
My son moved and was interested in the cloud sectional from RH and we all know the price of that piece over 5k and I told him it was his $$$ and he shouldn't spend that on a single piece when you needed many other pieces to purchase. Needless to say he got that same couch 🛋 from another furniture company and it was almost 3k cheaper & that was a year ago and it looks and feels brand new considering it's that light linen color too ___ Great quality 😘
I love your channel, Leslie, but I can't disagree with you more. I'm a baby boomer and I've had my Thomasville leather sectional for 20 years and it looks the same as the day I bought it. I also inherited my parents Ethan Allen chairs from the 60's and I'm reupholstering them now. The reason there isnt good quality American made furniture is that buyers now want to continually throw out mediocre furniture instead of invest in quality pieces. I have a bedroom outfit purchased in 1979 from an American company and made from solid hard rock maple that I will never replace. My parents taught me to save for quality. There are so many ways to change your decor without filling up landfills with furniture.
The items you purchased look like good quality, and will last forever. I live in the UK and prices seem reasonable, although we do not have Gaines products here.
Hi Leslie, Very informative, things don't have to be that expensive!!!! Love JoAnna, but those prices are taking advantage!!!! So glad you and Jason had an enjoyable trip. You two looked so cute!!!!!😉
Thank you for the honest review. I will keep this in mind. I live in California and in the near future we plan on buying a truck and a trailer to travel. Waco is on our bucket list because we are huge fans of Fixer Upper and Chip and Joanna Gaines. I am new to your channel and am learning so much about decorating and about myself actually with my tastes, etc. I agree with you with regard to furniture. There is just NO WAY I could EVER justify $5000 for a couch and trust me I can justify A LOT. I'm suffering sticker shock from what you were able to get and based on the reviews alone, I would say I would NOT pay them. You had me with the wooden vases because I thought they were turned/made in the USA. If not, then its a Hard NO. I can gain the same look and spend less. I'll get the cup and the tea as a souvenir. Thank you for the heads up.
Whoa! I live in Texas so I know Texas in June! You don’t go anywhere except the mail box. Wait until July and august! We live in west Texas where the humidity is low. East Texas and heat will kill you! Your items that you got were cute but the quality can be seen through even the camera! I would stick with Target, Hobby Lobby, and whatever other places you have in your town.
One of my favorite places to visit. I have a lot of things in my home from there. Sending hugs, love, prayers and kindness. PS I have several really great pieces of furniture that I have had for many years. I have changed now a little with my taste and now I am doing more of French country with my home. Love you sweet girl and always love your videos.❤️🙏🏼👍🏼🦋
Thanks for the review. I buy furniture to keep forever 😜. We still have our Master bedroom set, and dinning room set. I see people painting the dinning room set like ours I have thought about it but I just can't. I'm still on the hunt for a sofa set like my first one, we kept it for 18 years. I do have my coffee and end tables. All of this is 31 years looks new but dated hey but I like it, and I like seeing others with new stuff.
Leslie Thank you so much for your honest opinion I'm a huge fan of Chip & Joanna and have thought about taking a trip it really comes across very tempting but after your input I am rethinking you have been a great help again Thank you so much E
Hi Leslie,Can’t say that I would want to go to Waco. I did watch the Gains on TV and I like her style. But,the $$$ no way lol. I’m glad though that you and Jason were able to take a trip together ❤️ and Kudos to you for pulling a fifth wheel camper down busy highways or anywhere for that matter! tfs❤️
I loved your video. I too am a huge Joanna Gaines fan but I agree with you that you are paying for the name.I live in southern Ontario about 1/2 hour west of Toronto and the last 2 days here have been 95 with a lot of humidity so I can’t even imagine going to Texas in the summer. As for the prices you paid, wow that is US dollars…that would have cost me $200 Canadian right now for the jugs alone and that is a lot. I must say they are lovely and I really like them on your mantle. Sometimes we all pay too much for things we like…I’m guilty of that. Lol The 2 glass vases and tray, I think the price of the vases was not bad but a little much for the tray. I totally agree with you about changing out our furniture more now a days then our parents did and if you have small children probably even more so I doubt I would spend $5-6000 on a small couch either. Then $1899 dollar one you showed was nicer I thought. If I ever went to Waco I for sure would go to Magnolia but I agree, more to see than spend. Looks like you had a great trip even if it was long. Thanks for sharing.
It was interesting to hear about your trip to Waco, Texas. I wanted to visit as well, but guess I will check out my local Target instead. It's so disappointing to learn that they don't support local businesses and many projects and out-sourced from China.
I like to change decor all the time so would not like the prices. I usually change things around every two or three weeks.I am a retired designer and always like to see what I can do a budget and shop my home. Just because you spend a lot of money does not mean your rooms would look better. Always do what makes you happy and you do not have to follow rules. It is your home so enjoy.
You have all these influencers I call them minions that all have the same decor in their home's literally everything is from RH ______ I agree with your thought 💭 process as far as spending your 💵 on accessories and I love all your decor style & idea's. Don't get me wrong I like a few thing's from RH but I'm not falling over my heels at the store. I'll say I like Ikea and actually have furniture pieces that have lasted much longer than the expensive pieces I've purchased in the past.
I love this video!! I have pieces of furniture from my parents that I cherish that I will never get rid of, I also have accessories and linens from Target that I love. I have a sofa from 30 years ago that I still love and had withstood the test of time. I believe in quality and I invest in statement pieces, but if it costs the same as the first car of a teenager, I will sleep on it before I buy!!
I would like to go but not in the Summer! I live near Oklahoma City so I’m closer than you. Thanks for a great review! Did you eat there? Everyone says their food and snacks are great.👏👏💜
Home Goods, Ross, TJ Maxx, and Goodwill have been my go-to's for years. I've found amazing treasures that are just right or easily cleaned or sprayed painted into beauties. Kind of sad to hear the only thing you thought was worth the money was $9 Sweet Tea in a mason jar with a straw!
I live in the Waco area and have yet to go to the Magnolia Market. I don’t have any intention to go, either! Friends who have been have said it’s way overpriced. I am a fan of Fixer Upper, but not so much Magnolia Market.
Stop by the Homestead Village when you are in Waco, it's a fabulous side trip with authentic, locally produced crafts and much more. Consider staying at the DELIGHTFUL "Tell Story Walk" B&B! Blessings.
My daughter and I went, in January 4 years ago. We flew and had a great time, in Waco. We only purchased a cupcake and cookie and T-shirts at Magnolia. Way too expensive! I'm big on home decor and used to have my own business. I don't spend a huge amount on anything!
I’ve been wanting to go to Waco but the Magnolia prices are crazy! I bought a very similar tray for $5.99 at Ross. Very pretty solid wood. Shopping for bargains is a favorite thing to do but maybe not at the Magnolia stores! 🤣🤣
I do believe going there is an experience, more than a shopping bingo feeling. I do believe things are pricey but fun to go but also go to the vintage/antique stores. But they aren't open except the latter part of the week. It's 6 hour drive for us and we decided against going in June.
I completely agree with you, very expensive and not worth the trip. I enjoyed being there and seeing it in person, but it’s a bit removed from the major cities in Texas, and there is NOTHING else to see there other then the Magnolia Table (very disappointing as well) and the Silos. It is definitely a one and done spot, I would not recommend it to anyone.
Really curious if you buy furniture with the intention to keep it forever? Thoughts?
Way over priced because of name. 3 sofas in living room in 36 years here. I agree with furniture being overpriced. Go to Marshalls and Homegoods for very similar items
No. I'm already tired of mine. I like to change things up more than most people.
I like change. So I buy most items knowing they will be gone in years to come. I do have a very few heirloom pieces that are family treasures
Depends what it is but generally no!
I wish they would support small businesses around their town, state or country.
The fact that their things aren't American-made was very disappointing. I knew prices were going to be high because of their popularity, but way too high for things made in China.
That's really disappointing.
I too am 2 hours away but never been but enjoy shopping at our local H‑E‑B where they do have nice texas things !!
Home goods for accessories is fantastic 👍🏼👏👏👏♥️
Home Goods, Home sense, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Target in store and online and Walmart in store but you need to go on their website you would be shocked 😲 at the home accessories/furniture pieces they sell. I definitely go crazy at Amazon and Michael's too.
Hahaha, at 70 yrs young most of my furniture has gone by the wayside. I love to decorate, change things up all the time. I feel it helps me keep a young mind and fresh attitude. So glad I found your channel my dear.
I love the Pray Without Ceasing sign
Thank you 🙏🏼
I love the vases you purchased!
Agree, Lynn. The trow away mentality doesn’t only apply to furniture. Unfortunately!
I am so glad you gave this review. I have never been caught up in the hype and the decor of all the white, white, white.
I’m a former Texan. You are correct. Go to Waco anytime between October - February. Yes! Traffic on I-35 is CRAZY!
Love your bubbly personality 😍
Thank you 😊
I totally agree.
You also got your glow on from your vacation- lovely!☀️ Fun review and making memories is priceless! I would have loved to hear Jason's review, too😄
Loved the wood vases on your mantle...beautiful!
Thank you for sharing!!!! I enjoy the Gaines so much. I enjoyed your trip enough that now I don't have to go. Lol. Love you and Jason!!!!!
Totally agree with you!
Their items are over priced despite the fact that they are made in china. Would buy similar items at Walmart instead
I love your channel. You are such a sincere person and so genuine. May God wrap his arms around you and keep you close as you go through your life.
Your right we’ve been married 51 years and I’ve had 6 or 7 different couches. I love the way Joanna decorates but I could never afford to pay that much for decor. I love the way you decorate and I believe at a much more affordable.
This was very interesting and informative. You mentioned several things that never occurred to me to consider. Thank you!!
Thank you for watching 😁
The restaurant is fantastic. Check the times. They open early and close early. I have blanked the name of the place...AArrgghhh! The bakery was also fun! I bought a tea towel with a sunflower on it...That was it. We toured Waco, learning about it's history and the Fixer Upper homes. We walked along the river and saw the wonderful sculptures. The tribute to the WWII veteran was awe inspiring. There is so much more to Waco than only the Magnolia Market. Yes, our trip revolved around the experience of Magnolia Market but the town is a fun small city with a lot of history.
Love your tan! Jason looks great. Glad you took a little trip and you got some really cute stuff!
Wow; too expensive for me.. Glad you 2 had fun.😀😀
Agreed! I love Facebook marketplace!
My daughter lives in Florida and we do not like going over the summer! To many tourists 😬 it makes everyday living hard for getting around!
I"m pretty much addicted to sweet tea, that's for sure! LOL 😂
@@ACharmingAbode 😊
Thanks for the honest review. It is disappointing that they charge so much for their products. I was a big fan pre-return to TV. I appreciate their drive to grow their brand, but they are going to over saturate themselves. Don't get me started on Magnolia Network. Teaming up with Discovery to pay even more $$$ to watch their TV shows. Nope. Again, thanks! Fellow military here - AF retired. ☺️
I totally, 100% agree with your review of Magnolia! Fun but overpriced for me.
Great review and I trust your opinion. I love the Gaines but don"t think it is worth traveling from San Diego CA
Great review. I just wish I could live or even holiday in America.. say hi to smiley Jason….
He says HI! 😁
So happy that you and Jason had a great time 💕
My husband, sister I went to Waco.
Great video so helpful.
We were there in March - masses of wildflowers everywhere. Lovely, a bit warm though. It was 2016, and super crowded.
We were thinking about making the trip, and we live in Oklahoma. Not sure 🤔 if I want to go now. Thanks for your honest opinion. 🌺🌿
You could make the plant stand. Great video.❤️
I’m glad though that you and Jason were able to take a trip together ❤️ and Kudos to you for pulling a fifth wheel camper down busy highways or anywhere for that matter! tfs❤️
Awesome video! Ohh bless y’all!! I live in North Texas and it’s so blasted hot all summer in Texas!❤️
WA was 111 degrees last week, I almost died !
Totally agree girl!!!
You have all these influencers I call them minions that all have the same decor in their home's literally everything is from RH ______
I agree with your thought 💭 process as far as spending your 💵 on accessories and I love all your decor style & idea's.
SW Missouri here. We had the exact experience that you described. I did splurge and get a few things also. ❤️
I live in the Waco area and have yet to go to the Magnolia Market. I don’t have any intention to go, either! Friends who have been have said it’s way overpriced. I am a fan of Fixer Upper, but not so much Magnolia Market.
you look so pretty and summery love your videos brightens my day i agree your paying for the name you can find similar for cheaper at other places
Stop by the Homestead Village when you are in Waco, it's a fabulous side trip with authentic, locally produced crafts and much more. Consider staying at the DELIGHTFUL "Tell Story Walk" B&B! Blessings.
Love your honesty always. Great content!!!
Thank you so much for your videos. I'm so glad you were honest and said what you felt about the very high prices!! This is why we keep watching!😁
I live just outside Dallas, so going to Waco isn’t a long trip for me, but I wasn’t impressed with Magnolia at all! Way overpriced!
Totally agree 👍 Target 🎯 All the Way 🙂
I do love the wooden vases!!!!!
I absolutely love the plant basket.
Very accurate review! Thank you for sharing. ❤️
I do believe going there is an experience, more than a shopping bingo feeling. I do believe things are pricey but fun to go but also go to the vintage/antique stores. But they aren't open except the latter part of the week. It's 6 hour drive for us and we decided against going in June.
In UK I can't resist a craft fair where everything is home made. Somehow you treasure items more from there even though they are more expensive xx
Hi Rose I'm from the UK now live in the US. I miss my bargains, its so expensive here now!
Went once bought a T-shirt and a small vase, fun to see but I won’t go back way to expensive
