Usyk is a lifelong athlete with supreme discipline, if he’s a natural cruiser and is comfortable at that weight then why wouldn’t he go back down? Multiple interviews stating it’s tough for him to maintain the weight.
Also, I don’t see him hanging around getting beat like RJJ, too stoic, nowhere near the level of ego as many boxers. One of the best champions (in any sport) of this generation.

You just made that shit up. He never said anything remotly resembling what you claim. He has a dietetitian and its easy for him to maintain his weight as he is constantly in training. He maintains correct weight and form all the time. Most boxers are too lazy too put inbthe world and their weight fluctuates. This is why they often resort to steroids to help them nikt up, lose weight and build power.

He was talking about the 2nd uppercut in round 6 which impacted his tooth implant. You can see his reaction immediately after it lands. He did say Fury was his toughest fight and said about his reach and how he's difficult to fight being unorthodox and throwing shots from his waist.
Think the narrative of how hurt he was is overplayed the same way it was in 2nd Joshua fight.

This is the part where boxers really miss. When to stop. I think its an identy thing. They invest so much of there time, energy and life for the sport. Its hard to let go, the number of boxes that end up leaving the legacy in bits becuase they cant find a place for themselves outside of the sport is crazy. Its deeper than the money i think. Its a case of if im not a boxer, who am I? Usyk has been a boxer his whole life. The more invested someone is the harder it is to walk away from, but ifnyou dont you leave on your back eventually..this is the game.

I do think Usyk should retire after the Fury rematch but I can see why cruiserweight is a good move if he carries on boxing. He has to work very hard at heavyweight, he has to move so much in the ring and has to fight like the smaller fighter (which means always being in punching range of your opponent.) His speed and footwork could slow down as he ages.. he will have height and reach advantage at cruiser so he will have more options to win and could box like a bigger man.

That is an excellent number of buys, considering how streaming is now ubiquitous--some paper reported that 20 million people streamed the fight. Usyk did talk about going back to cruiserweight, but I think that's nonsense. Real Big Baby is far too prone to pulling back in a straight line with his chin in the air, and doesn't seem to sit on his shots enough to really hurt people. He says he's flat broke today. Do fighters pay managers and promoters that much today?

"Usyk should hang the gloves if he beats Fury in December. What else is for him to win?"
He needs to reign for a period and sweep the entire division in order to be considered one of the greatest in boxing history. There are more than 10 boxers who had a dominant reign.
Otherwise he wont make it to the top 10 all time. Ppl will say well he was good but he won the belts and quit while the other great champions dominated for 10 years.
So yeah - Usyk needs to stay in the heavyweight for at least 2 more years. I think he still has 3-4 fights at the absolute top. If not more. So THEN he will be in the top 10 all-time maybe even top 5.
(I don't like the idea of going down to cruserweight)

Think you’re off the mark here Ade. I don’t think Usyk will go back down because as you said he’s been there and done it plus better now. However Usyk could drop 20lbs just by eating 3 meals a day instead of 4 with his shakes. He’s been eating himself to 220lbs. You’re normally on the money with weight opinions but here I think you are giving usyks extra 20 lbs too much credit. It’s water and over eating. He doesn’t like eating as much he’s said it for years.

Pretty much he’s completed the game of boxing, but……the one thing he wants to accomplish is not in his hands. He most likely wants an outgoing stadium fight in Kyiv. Until a ceasefire happens and planes start flying again, that can’t happen, and he probably wants to stick around a bit just in case.
