The Kasrkins are returning to the table after having been missing for several editions. Though that's not to say the new boys haven't made an impact. Tempestus Scions are still SAS like drop troopers that can punch well above their weight and points cost, so they've kept the spirit alive this whole time.
@@mrbigglezworth42 tempest scions aren't sas, Elsyian drop troopers are more of drop trooper, and tbh we can't really compare our universe to 40k because 40ks elites are just more battle hardened and mentally focused.
no offense but i always though it was karskin it sounds more badass because it 's a mix of the Kar german rifle with "skin" Kinda like "skin of kar rifle"

When the Imperial Guard were introduced in Winter Assault you could train more than one Kasrkin squads,three I think,but I could be wrong it was a long time ago.Now with three Kasrkin squads there is little to stop you as far as infantry goes,you outrange a lot of them,outgun most of them,Kasrkin are quicker,got a BIG grenade and if you attach a priest or have a commissar to leisurely execute normal guardsmen somewhere nearby you get a killing field IN THE EMPEROR'S NAME!! O.o
That's true. There was no limit of 3, but you cannot have more then like 3 or 4 of them because they eat infantry popcap like crazy ))) In Dark Crusade and Soulstorm there is limit to 1 squad. Kasrkins are badass, lads. Hell, they strike fear into even Astartes and Inquisitors, the mad lads. Considering they're Cadia's most elite soldiers, it's no surprise that both allies and our enemies fear them.

Kasrkin squad with both upgrades and a priest is so much fun, almost as much HP as a baneblade while being faster than sonic, it's a spectacle to behold

In all my years, i have never seen them lose morale. Propably because they're precious and i keep them behind an impenetrable wall of guardsmen. Or propably because i always have at least 1 commissar at this point. But most likely because they can fight terminators and necrons 1v1
I love these guys when I was doing the soulstorm campaign as the guard. Give a full upgraded squad a priest and you are packing some serious firepower.
You haven't lived until you take one full Kasrkin squad with a psycher around capping points on their own. Or to harass a base. Or flank an enemy commander. So versatile.
