I saw your picks under 50 bucks right when my wife and I were at the store trying to decide on a good first bottle of bourbon to start with. I went by what your descriptions of the old Forester 1910 and we loved it immediately. I'm hooked but it opened up our taste buds to keep wanting to try others.
Personally, the Eagle Rare depends on the barrel it’s pulled from. I have one that was good but not great, and I have one that is the best bourbon I’ve ever tasted. I love the 1910 and the Michters. Russell’s is ok but I prefer Rare Breed. Never had JJ Bowman or that Coopers Craft. I really like the other CC though.

@@thomasgoundrey2576 they don't mix or blend barrels with Eagle rare, but they don't clean out the lines or anything like that to where they can state that it is a single barrel. Therfore the bottles of ER do vary a bit...

Yes! Same..I got warm banana. It’s a really tasty bottle. Surprised it was towards the bottom, only by a hair. All these are great bottles!

My bourbon collection only has about 35 bottles and I had all 6 of these. All very good. Just cannot find the OF 1910 for less than 59 bucks.
I'm going out tomorrow to see what I can find. Hoping to find something nice as a birthday bottle to myself.

I haves bowman but don’t want to open it because it is almost impossible to find in Colorado have seen a couple but $85
I have all 6 of these and plan on doing this comparison with my girlfriend next weekend when we have some free time.

I’ll personally take John J Bowman and OF 1910 out of all those. I’d place ER ahead of the 1910 but it’s damn hard to get in my area of Ohio. With that being said the Bowman is NOT found in Ohio nor in the wild for me. So in the end outta those I can get 1910, Russell’s 10 and Coopers all day everyday.

Russell’s 10 deserves to be bottom step #6 with way to much earthly peanuts.
I have all of these except the RR and JJ Bowman. But I do have the Bowman Brothers. Eagle Rare is one of my favorites and also Michters. Have the 1910 and Coopers but have not opened them yet. Great video guys. 👍👍 Also both 1910 & 1920 was $60 here in NC

@@tommyd8119 I am trying to find it too, perhaps it's too much to expect in my case because I don't think you can get sweeter than Woodford reserve double oaked and 1910 without actually being an artificially flavored whiskey. I found a s'mores flavored whiskey and I do like the Howler's Head banana one. What is missing for you in what you have had? My favorite sweet thing in the world is marshmallow so fortunately I get that from the Woodford and the 1910 but if I can find something even more prominent than that, I would be thrilled.
@@BigBadJerryRogers Yep, I love my Woodford reserve double oaked as well. The Coopers craft 100 is great too. The Elijah Craig barrel proof smells like heavy brown sugar which I love too. I think maybe I should try the 1910 next.
