I like your videos and just the honest approach to doing these incremental mods to your GTI. Im you’ve definitely given me some things to consider for my Mk6 GLI.
Thanks man! Just being myself and honest! And if the GLI is anything like the GTI, every little thing helps and makes these cars incredibly enjoyable to drive :)
I’ve got the CTS TMD paired with and IE intake +stage 1 flash and a Turbosmart DV valve, and it sounds insane! These things are awesome when you pair them with other mods Keep the good work up man, the videos are great!
That sounds like a brilliant combo! It takes a minute to produce these videos so I've done a few things since this: turbo outlet, throttle pipe, dog bone insert. And all those have been fantastic! The more you do the better it gets. I was waiting to jump straight to stage 2 when I do the exhaust and get a new air box, but I may try a stage one. I bet it's fantastic!
I HIGHLY suggest a DV+ Diverter Valve kit from Go Fast Bits. You almost certainly have the latest revision of Diverter valve. That valve leaks like a sieve from day one, and I can hear it in this video VERY clearly.
I've got a mk6 gti same as yours. White the wheels, and drivers edition also, but tomorrow I'm putting on the ecs fmic and charge pipes on my eurodyne stage2+. I'm excited af. Sadly ecs didn't send the turbo muffler delete pipe to delete the original one. Will let you know how it feels!
So I saw both of your videos on the muffler delete. Does it cause the check engine light to turn on? Do I need to put my GTI into stage 2? I do have a cold air filter installed already. I’m not so much into power but more towards sound.
Hey! I’m glad you saw them! There is no check engine light thankfully and no tuning is necessary! You get a bit more turbo noise on hard acceleration, which I like. And here is the one I got: www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-parts/turbo-muffler-delete-pipe-kit/019694ecs01-01kt/ This one is for the side pipe that came from the factory. ECS makes a whole kit of pipes from the turbo to the throttle and they make a special silicone coupler to use with that kit and a different coupler for use with the factory pipes. I just upgraded to an ARM turbo outlet pipe and it fits very nicely into the silicone coupler I already had.
I wear a medium at about 5'6"-5'7" It's a wicked comfortable hoodie but I spilled a huge glob of vegetable oil on mine so now I wear it when things get dirty.
Someone else mentioned that. If I was on a track or chasing 0-100 times, I would definitely be shifting there. But I ran some test runs shifting into third on 0-60 and lost an average of 0.2-0.3 seconds over how I was doing it before. But I don’t have a short shift kit either, or a tune, haha
@@Deki757 he has K03 with stock internal fuel pump If he posts a pic of his dynograph you will see his power drops off at 5500 I have a k04 and It does the same Best to keep the car within the power band so that it's stays within the torque range No tune on stock fuel pumps will make the car make more power on top You need to change the fuel pump in the front
@@shaff8308 omg, so what if power drops?Shifting at peak power will not give you the best acceleration. Look at where DSG shifts in sport mode. Not at 5500 lol. Use a stopwatch and see. Shifting at 5500 is to early.

just installed one today on my bro's mk6 gti.. definitly more responsive, reduced all the lag on boost pick up and between shifts.. 100% reccomend
I love your videos man, was on the fence about this for my gli, can’t wait to see where this car ends up!
Thank you! Also, how is the GLI? Would have gone that route if I hadn’t owned two sedans previous and wanted something different
Doing this turbo muffler on a MK6 was one of the most frustrating jobs I've ever done....and I've done a set of headers on a 2002 GTO....this SUCKED!
Also, there seems to be 2 types of muffler deletes on the ECS website.

Forgot to mention I'm DSG stage 1 eurodyne tune.
@@Dukes3677 That all sounds sick! Sorry to hear about the little mishap. It's gonna be epic though for sure! Tell me how it is :)
Thanks for the videos. Please keep them coming
Thank you very much for the support! I've got plenty of videos on the way, don't worry!
Just did this install on my 2015 tiguan. It is much more fun to drive
It really does make a difference!

I think you you revving the car too high
Try changing gear on 5500rpm after that the power band is pretty dead

Please tell me you are joking. I can't believe there are still people shifting a petrol car at 5500
@@Deki757 YOU WANT MORE?!?! lol, a tune for the GTI raises the rev limiter to 7000 and should hold power better through the higher RPM range to boot.
